hi all moms to b...!!!...I am gayathri n am from india,t present in Hongkong...am 25 and rite now(as on 22/sept/07)22 weeks pregnant with my first baby due on january 27th 08.. will b completing 3 yrs of marriage in november after 4 yrs of courtship so in total 7 grt years...cudnt have asked for a better timing for our first one!! ..:)

I had a check up 2 weeks back had a 4d ultra sound and ws really something seein the lil one move bout inside me..one point i felt the baby kick n instantly saw it move on the screen..ws awesome !!the doc says i'll have a baby girl but then am due for another check up shortly and he will confirm then...am sooo thrilled .. a baby girl is wat i always wanted but now if its a boy by ne chance he will b welcomed with all my love aswel.. (back in india by law docs dont reveal the sex of the baby till birth cos there r still reported cases of female infanticide in rural india..which is quite unfortunate shameful and sad..!!)...so bein in hongkong for my checkups ws an added advantage..i wil be goin back to india to my parents (which is our tradition)for my delivery though...

my pregnancy has been trouble free till now by gods grace and i never had ne usual discomforts like morning sickness and nausea..last couple f days back is hurtin a bit but seems bearable.. but then i see it is very common among women t this stage..

i wish all the women in this forum the very best of luck with their pregnancies,..!!..let us share n bond here!!..

22nd april : first day of my last period

19th may : positive pregnancy test ( 3 days b4 i expected my period...heh..i kinda knew it!!) husband's had a sudden change of job n leavin the country in 1 day..a lil sad!!..excited !!..confused...!!..dunno if the test is correct

21st may : 2nd positive test...happy!!..declared to my folks n my MIL..they r ecstatic...told to shut my big mouth until further confirmation from the doc..lol!!..hubby leaves for HK...

5th june : My 1st apmt with the doc and had a TVS didnt get the fetal pole or fetal heart beat..:(..ws scary..i sobbed!!..my hopes were so high!!..doc asks me to return after a week..n 1st time i hear of something called the blighted ovum!!..

11th june : did my 2nd scan (TVS) saw the lil one as big as a lil pea mayb!!..n got the heart beat..:)..hurray!!..heee..happppyyyyyyyyyy.....

9th july : had my first external ultra sound and check up cos leavin india the next day to join my hubby in HK...the lil one ws soo active..movin its tiny fist up n down.. my husband ws not there with me..awww how i missed him...

7th august : first check up in HK...My doc is a honki with a perfect british accent!!..heh..super excited cos hubby having his 1st glimpses of the baby..one month n the baby is soo much more bigger n more active..one point almost tryin to get up n stand..hah ws a delight to watch..too small to confirm the sex though..

19th august : FELT THE BABY MOVE INSIDE ME FOR THE FIRST TIME!!...like lil bubbles..grt feeling!!.the baby in the scan is deft inside me ...

7th sept : My 20th week scan.. baby much more active..had a 4d scan..hehcudnt help remarkin that the lil one looked like a lil cute monkey!..still to put on fat ..doc checked all the vital organs..all seem to b functionin properly n as expected t this stage..a lil disagreement on the GA..scan showin 2 days shorter than the predicted age accordin to LMP..not much f a worry doc says..n well ITS A GIRL!!.. doc is goin to confrim on that once again in my next check up...but then iv somehow taken to the idea of havin a dot...hopin it doesnt change to a boy next month!!..heh..never know i guess.

18th sept: No need to feel tummy with my hand to sense n see the baby move. can see the tummy move..lil pulses to bumps everytime the baby movin..the kicks gettin harder!!...:)..

5th oct : My 24th week scan....!!.just got bk home..n super exhausted...the scan went fine..baby doing great..the differnce in GA that it ws showin b4 no longer there...infact baby now one day bigger than the real GA..am so relieved..i ws hopin the baby makes up fr the 2 days it ws laggin behind the last time..and yess!!..i am havin a girl afterall..the doc confirmed it...:).she weighs 1.6 lbs...got the 4d scan pics..will update it soon in my album..she is yawning in one of the pics..heh..seriously still cant blv i have a tiny human being inside me..

1st nov: The date for my GDT and last check up here in HK...28 weeks!!.hi guys i just got back after the check up..had a lil scare of sorts..well since i had my GTT test had to give the urine n blood sample every one hr 3 times..second time i went to take urine i noticed lil flesh coloured discharge on my panty liner n thot it ws strange..but then the 3rd time i went in i saw it ws blood..i finished my GTT test(came negetive..so no gestations diabetics fr me!!)..n rushed to my doc..he imd took me to the examination room n checked me internally...he said all is fine n that there is deft no vaginal bleeding..he neway has taken my swab test..i still dont know where the blood came frm..mayb it ws just some kindaf external bleeding it stopped after that..hmm n to think i have to catch a flight bk home in 2 days..well doc said am fine to travel n asked me take lot f fluids on the way...n yeah i also had my ultra sound baby seems fine...in the 4d images i cud see the baby has really grown since her first 4d t 20 weeks GA..her cheeks have gone chubby n she looks more like a real human baby now..unlike the lil monkey i called her on seein her 1st scan..(those pics still in my album)..i wil hopefuly scan n put the latest scan pics soon...somehow last months i never managed to put up..so thats it fr my update today..next will b from india..i really hope i get a good hospital n doc..
