Friday, 5 Oct Thank you so much! I am almost possitive that she will have it. Mainly because my mother had it and my MIL had it. Even though they say its not genetics I think in this case it is. I would love for her to not have it but I am ready for her to have it. I will take a look at your pix! Thanx!

Friday, 5 Oct Thank you so much for all the info. At first it was really hard for me knowing that she has club foot. We have had 2 ultrasounds so far and they both confirmed that she does have club foot with her left foot. I am so thankful that all she has is the common defect and nothing else. Its still hard because you just dont want anything wrong with your baby ya know? starburst7987 -

Monday, 1 Oct Hi Lin-
With my first chile the doc recommended stripping her naked ans letting her lay on towels so that air could get to her butt. Being in moist diapers encourages growth of what ever she has ( if it is yeast, which is a fungus, it loves dark, moist places) Also, like someone else said you could try monostat. carlalyn -
Sunday, 30 Sep Hey Lin, This surgery will repair his lip them when he is one they will repair his palate. I am hoping this is all the surgery he will need. My in laws just moved to Spiritwood Sask. and a Bro. in law who moved to North Battle ford Sask. Is Kyle Sask any where near these places? Is this where you grew up? Hey where can you buy breast shields? Maybe I can try something like that so he can just Nuzzle now before he gets too old and has no interest at the breast. Then maybe after lip surgery and his palate comes together more with this NAM I may be able to feed him some with the breast and some with the bottle. Yes pumping is good for at least one can see the total amount the babe gets. So does the shield just help with the nipple. So that it comes and stays out? If so this may help me help him. Take Care. shelynn -
Sunday, 30 Sep to your post on the 0 month... i have always used desitin, balmx or the butt paste and it has always cleared my babys up with in a few days. also make sure your useing the unsented baby wipes. hope this helps you take care. Alexandra -
Sunday, 30 Sep hey hun for diaper rash bepantham is supposed to be very good. ive used zinc and castor oil on my daughter from the day she was born and we havent had any nappy rash at all, so you could try that. what wipes are you using? we just used some huggies wipes and i think her skin didnt like them so were back to pampers they are very good not too wet but not dry either. xx Adriana -
Sunday, 30 Sep My baby also had diaper rash at birth.Desitin was to hard on her so I used A&d ointment.I also stopped using wipes,bc they would make it worse. So I would use a warm wash cloth. Also you can take his diaper off while he sleeps just make sure there's a towel for accident to air dry.Or if you dont hane the time a blow dryer also works good.Hopes he feels better soon :) acurtis -
Sunday, 30 Sep hello, i read your comment about the diaper rash. my little girl also had a really bad diaper rash a few days after she was born, so i started using desitin on her and switched to the pampers sensitive wipes and it worked! and even though she doesn't have diaper rashes anymore, i still put desitin on her little tushy about every couple diaper changes just so it won't come back. i hope that helps :) carlalyn -
Sunday, 30 Sep Hi Lin, Yes right now Arthur feeds with the NAM in. He wasn't a few days ago though for the NAM was irritating his mouth. I think we are better in that department now. Arthur cannot feed at my breast for he does not produce enough suction for that. I pump so he gets BM. We use special bottles. He does the sucking motion and we squeeze the milk in. He would of been a great breast feeding babe if he only had suction. (so I'm still sad about that.) Arthur was 7-11 @ birth and @ 10weeks old he is 11-10oz. He sleeps wonderfully! asleep @ 930(like clock work)and is up around 5-6am feeds and straight back to bed for about2-3 hours. Yes my dear I'm really LUCKY.(I do count my blessings!) The other day Artur slept 11 hours straight! I had to wake him up. I think because he had such a crappy week prior He was really ready to just rest. Today he made up for it. feeding every 2.5-3 hours and awake most of the day until guess what 930.LOL.
Arthur will be getting his surgery Nov 26th. (LIP & tubes in his ears). This was to happen Nov. 19th but we had a set back with the DAMN NAM. Hey where in Canada do you live? We are in Calgary. Well I better get my butt to BED. HAVE A GREAT NIGHT. carlalyn -
Saturday, 29 Sep Hi lin, Thanks for your posting. Awe is Nixon every a little sweetie! How are things going Hun? Does his little cast bother him? Boy I don't know what's harder work his castings or the NAM we deal with. Were both really busy mommas hey. What do you do about baths? So what do they do at the weekly appointments? Do the change the cast every week? If so what do they do exactly? How well does Nixon feed? How much weight has he gained since birth? Do you BF him? Does he sleep good at night?Sorry about all the Questions. Lin hope to hear from you soon. Lin isn't easy just to love your little baby? I remember when I first found out about Arthur's difference and how I felt about it. You know what were lucky cause things arn't really that bad are they, nothing we can't handle eh? I have learn't going to the hospital weekly that gee we could be a lot worse off.Take care. Cindy.Nov28 -

Saturday, 22 Sep Well if your not breastfeeding it could very well be your period, even if you are breastfeeding it's been known to happen, hope all is well. What a beautiful boy! pixiered -
Saturday, 22 Sep Lin its your period I'd say. I had a c-section and they must have scraped the womb at the time cos I had no flow after the section but did have perios, slightly heavier than normal three/four weeks after. Alexandra -

Friday, 21 Sep Hi Lin, I saw your post on Carlalyn's page and wanted to ask you a question. Did you have the AFP test during pregnancy? If so, did it show a positive result? I had an elevated risk show up on my AFP test but follow up 2d ultrasounds showed no abnormalities. Because of that, and the fact that there was no way we were going to end the pregnancy, we opted NOT to have the amnio. I had been feeling fine about that decision, but now that I am due to be induced on Monday, I am getting anxious about whether or not the elevation was a false positive or was indeed an indicator of something gone awry but that was not able to be located by the numerous ultrasounds i have had. Additionally, the doctors did a size estimating ultrasound when I was 35 weeks and said the baby is small for gestational age. I know that that can be a marker that something is wrong too. So now I am concerned. I have had gestational diabetes during this pregnancy and also difficulty gaining weight. I have only gained 3 pounds since July 11. While I am trying to hope for the best, I can't help but prepare myself for the worst as well. I guess I am just seeking reassurance, but then again, I will know all come Monday, the 24th. If you wouldn't mind, please keep my baby in your prayers. I wish I had done that sooner, asked folks to pray, but I suppose it is better late than never! 1sttimearound -
