Hello everybody!! I am new to this site and ever since i've found out i was expecting 4 da 1st time, i been searchin the web 4 any info based on my pregnancy. I ran into this site an noticed how everyone up here was friendly, encouraging, and supportive. Jan 3, 08- Hello. my 2nd dr. appt is finally almost here. Its this monday an she/he will go over everything i need to no and do during my pregnancy. Who no's when we will hear our babies heartbeat. hopefully it'll be 2 heartbeats we hear. My next visit will be the pap smear. its scary not really use to peo all in my personal area then finally will be our 1st ultrasound. the appts are so far apart seems like i'll already be 9 mths in no time.

Jan 8, 2008- Hello. my OB dr. visit was reschelduled to this fri b/c of a death in her family. That was really sad to hear, especially since she is to tell me all about giving birth. Hopefully we get to hear a heartbeat or 2 or three. I'll keep ya posted.

Jan 11, 2008- I finally had my OB dr. visit today. I was excited at first but it seems like she was in a big rush so i didn't really feel comfortable nor at home. Hopefully it was b/c she was behind schedule. Anyways she gave me plenty of info about my pregnancy, I took a few tests in the lab, they went over my insurance coverage, and scheduled me for my next appt. That is when i get my physical, and i get to hear the baby heartbeat. Or heartbeats, and get a more accurate date of my due date by doing some measuring. : )

Jan 27, 2008- Wednesday the 23rd i had my physical. Everything went well except the fact that i was so nervous while the dr. was checkin me. He said he believes i am earlier than 12 weeks and the next dr. visit will be my first ultrasound to make sure the baby or baby's is ok and to see exactly how far along i am. That isn't until the 5th of Feb. Seems like 4eva, i just wanna make sure there is a baby or two in my belly and that they are developin just the way they should be.

Feb 13, 2008- Hello today i am 17 weeks and 1 day pregnant! I had my ultrasound Feb 5th at 15 weeks 5 days and already found out that we're having a boy!!! He was so active on da screen. Me and caleb was real excited, and my ma cried tears of joy. We also heard his heartbeat afterwards, yes we only have one inside but we are so thankful to have him coming. Everything went well and my next visit is March 5th.

Mar 9, 2008- Hello i am 20 weeks an 4 days pregnant! My appt was march 6th, not da 5th, and everything is ok. He is 21 cm long, and we got to hear his heartbeat again. I believe i am starting to notice him move now. I get sudden sharp pains in my stomach and sometimes a constant movement on one part of my stomach. My dr. told me to watch how i eat b/c i gained 11 pds in one month! So definitely less sweets, and more healthy foods which i have been working on since i found out i am expecting. Well, my next visit is April 4th, and we will be praying for more good news.

April 20, 2008- Well i am 26 wks, 1 or 2 days away from my 27th wk yaah! My dr. appt was april 2nd and everything went good. the baby is exactly the right size and is very active. he does a lot of kicking and punching around but haven't waken me up in the middle of the night though. my next appt. is april 24th, and they will be testing me for diabetes. Prayfully everything continues to be in good shape.

May 3, 2008- Today i am 28 weeks and 3 days pregnant! My last dr. appt. was april 30th not the 24th, i had rescheldued it. But i took my sugar and anemic tests in the lab and my tests was really good. Our baby was active when we listened to his heartbeat. seemed like he had kicked the device off of him when it was placed on my belly. My weight gain is stable for now. So all that weight i had put on is falling into place. My next visit is May 15th, and i will surely stay posted.

June 5, 2008- Today i just turned 33 weeks pregnant! He moves around so much and each time is still exciting as the first time. My dr. visit May 15 went well. They just weighed and measured me, the usuals. I finally got approved for my maternity leave last week and just received my first check this week. Its all falling into place so well for now. Tomorrow is my next dr. appt. According to this site he should be giving me that butt swab test (i think its unnecessary but oh well), and checking to see if i've started dialating, and seeing the position of our baby boy. So its all exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. I will stay posted and also write about my baby shower this Sat!

June 11, 2008- Today im 33 weeks and 7 days! So tomorrow i will be 34 weeks! My dr. appt. was just measuring and listening to his heart beat. He won't start checking me until 36 weeks & who no's about that butt swabbing thing. Im sure isn't gonna mention it to him. Well my baby shower finally came and gone. And it went well. I was surprised to see how many people came up wit so many excuses not to come. I said to myself u really do see who your true friends are. Never again will i stress over a shower. Someone else will stress for me next baby time. I just wanted it b/c i wanted it to be for memory. And so i did one myself b/c no one else would. Oh well. The next day i went swimming in a hotel pool. To keep my mind off it. Well my next dr. appt is June 20th, and i will write again soon.

June 23, 2008- Today im 35 wks and 4 days!! 31 days to go till my due date. But i think he may come july 15th, not da 24th. My dr. visit was uncomfortable. The nurse unexpectedly told me to take off my pants and undies for the swab test. Then when she and the dr. came in, they made me spread my legs more differently than the dr. that did my pap smear, even though it was no where as long as the pap. I just felt way more exposed if someone else was in the room they could of clearly seen all of my business! And the paper over me was a lot smaller it seems and i had no gown on. Well i best to get used to it like the nurse told me b/c soon they will be in it again each visit till our baby gets here. Anyways, last sat at a wedding i went to catch the bouquet and stumbled so hard i hurt myself. My pelvic was already hurting b/c im far enough for it to, but i felt like i made the pain 10xs worse. I didn't go to the dr. b/c i wanted to see if it would ease up first which it did the middle of the next day. Plus baby was moving soo much i figured i just hurt myself and not him. But i need to make sure im just as good too. so next time i will definitely do what is best to do in a serious situation and not put the ER nor the dr. office off. My next dr. appt is this thurday the 26th and i will write again soon. by the way, i didn't catch the flower, and that really made me upset too :(

June 27, 2008- Today im supposedly 36 wks and 3 days pregnant!!! Its funny b/c i know 36 wks came 2 days early. but i asked my dr. and he said i was in wk 36 so oh well. Makes me feel like he'll be here more quickly anyway. Well my dr. appt. yesterday was good. I went by myself but i new in me and baby's gut caleb would pop up since he layed there watching me get ready for the appt. And sure enough he did. Just after i got finish letting a few tears out looking at woman with their other halfs. So i weigh 222 pds, which is like maybe 35 pds extra i've put on since being pregnant. That weight seems like a baby cow. Im not too worried though b/c i have it set in my heart to go to courts plus a little after the baby arrives to drop them horrible pounds plus the pds b/4 being pregnant!! Next summer i will be in a 2-piece bikini in orlando florida visiting the water parks!! No more roller coasters, the thrill of it is not worth the risk of my life or any of my family. Well back at the dr, we heard his heart beat plus 2 little thuds tellin us to get that cold device off of him, and he is still growing just right, and my blood pressure is still great. I was positive for that strep b test, the only test i've ever been pos. for, but they will give me an antibiotic during labor to keep the baby from harm. my next visit is next thur and i will write again soon.

July 3, 2008- Today i am exactly 37 weeks!!! so that is like 20 more days till my due date!! Well my visit at the dr. today was okay. We waited longer than usual and that building was so hot. u'd think they'll have it cool especially since there are tons of preggies walking around. I had to see dr. tinga b/c dr. martin wasn't in today. Caleb says he has a slick mouth but he's a lot older and has that since of humor that only he may find is funny. He's extremely rough handed and i think its all part of his description b/c he's known for big hands i've heard. My weight is still 222 pds so thats good. My next visit is next thursday and i will finally get to no if im dialated and if baby is head down, etc.. Im so anxious to no hopefully it'll be the best news i hear since finding out i am pregnant!

July 7, 2008- Today i am 37 wks and 5 days!! I just noticed my false labor contractions Sunday morning around 3am-5am. There was a bad storm that came through and had me and caleb up. It was constantly lightening and it seemed like it was right next to our home. but it was then when i felt some painful contractions and it wasn't the braxton hick's b/c those don't hurt. So i was scared but happy at the same time! and i thought if i have to ride to the hospital during this hected storm then so be it. but of course they were just teasers. i felt them again early this morning around 4am i believe :) Well my appt. haven't came yet but it is this thursday. p.s. the 4th was so so. it was off to a bad start wit me and caleb but it eventually got better throughout the day since i left him and went to my families cookouts and met back up wit him when the fireworks went off.

July 9, 2008- Im starting to get confused with my weeks. This morning i logged on expecting to see myself at 38 wks, but it said 37 wks. So i tend to my business and come back and it says 38 wks! So as far as i no i have 15 days to go until the 24th arrives! And i guess i am 38 wks today! well i went to the dr. expecting to have my va ja ja checked (lol got dat word from peeps off of here) and all they did was listened to his heartbeat, blood pressure, and urine. And he tells me he's gonna check me next week b/c as a first time mom, there is usually nothing going on right now. So i was disappointed but relieved at the same time. I just wonder y they keep lying to me making like they gonna do something but don't? Its not fair its like me being at work and leaving important things out too. But definitely im'ma make sure he checks it next visit. Well me and my mom went fishing today at lawson creek park in the jack's island park area, they kept stealing my bait and my mom kept catching tiny fish, so maybe we'll have better luck next time. And just think, would if our baby is breeched? And would if i don't make it to my next appt.? I'll have to get a c-section when it could be avoided by just checking to c what position he's in already. they slacking on they job! anyways my next appt is july 18th, so i will write again soon.

July 18, 2008- Today im supposedly 39 wks & 3 days!! But my due date is july 24th, so wouldn't that put me at 39 wks & 2 days? anyways, i had my dr. appt today. and like i figured it was no new news. The baby is head down though. So i finally got that worriedness put to rest. he says my cervix is soft but im not dialated though. he didn't have me convinced. i think he lied again! oh well. well earlier this week like wed my stomach was tight all day. that was a first. normally its tight 4 a moment then eases up. so being that it was tight for so long, i decided to go to the park and take a walk. so me and caleb walked, and it hurted which was good. when we got home the top of my stomach was really soft and mushy so im guessing he dropped! i don't feel him in my ribs anymore either. so there is a lil' bit of progress going on. well my next appt. is july 24th, my due date, hopefully i'll be in da hospital instead of the clinic! wish me prayers!

July 22, 2008- Today i would say im 39 wks and 6 days!!! Being that im due on the 24th. so that is just 2 days from now. Well i haven't walked as much as i plan but everytime i do, even if its a short distance, i feel the effect in my lower stomach and pelvis area. Yesterday me and caleb walked around wal-mart in the baby area and i was like out of breath and in that discomfort pain which i really love to feel. When im layin down on my side and i don't have anything b/t my legs my pelvis really do give me sharp pains. that is the only pain i don't like feeling. Well this appt. i have a new dr. i haven't seen b/4 hopefully he give me some exciting news, like rush to the hospital! your in early labor! Well if baby isn't here b/4 12am tonight, then he will definitely be a leo! that is what we wanted him to be anyway. even though i wouldn't mind him coming as i type...
