I know what you mean with the low blood sugars, I have about 5 a day, and sometimes they will get down to the 40's. I have a insulin pump so I could keep mine more level. Overall I do really well, but I have to many low blood sugar readings. I eat alot of nuts, veggies, and fish. Now that I am pregnant again I can't eat as much seafood so I have been drinking alot of milk. I wish I could find a good protein shake. I have a hard time getting 80 grams a day, but that was what the doctor told me I needed. Do you know what you are having? We are having another boy!

I saw your post and that you are a diabetic, I am a type 1 diabetic and I ve had it since I was 10. How are you doing with the diabetes and being pregnant? Are you on insulin? I am always curious about other diabetics, I find that everyone is so different with how they handle the diabetes.

hi Lisa, it's funny because I am 36 and my husband is 48. I was real worried about the age thing myself. I am also diabetic so that along with our ages has really worried me. I had the afp test and everything was normal except the part of the spinal bifida. The doc said that my age and diabetes could affect that part of the test. The u/s showed that the brain was developing fine and I have to go for another u/s next week to look at the spine but the doc said he is not worried because the brain was ok. I know this is easier said than done, but try not to worry == Hope you have a great weekend.

hey thats funny I just read your message and my husband made me cry while eating out at breakfast, I had to step out side to calm down, I think the most part was me being over emotional but I was pretty mad for a while.....anyways hope that makes you feel better lol!!!! happy mothers day =)
