Hi everyone... For those of you that don't know me already my name is Lisa. I am pregnant with my 2nd BABY BOY. My children will be exactly 1 yr apart when he is born.

11/9/07 Happy 1/2 yr to Parker

11/16/07 We had our nuchal fold U/S and found out we are having a boy... AGAIN

1/25/08 Once again contractions have started at 22 weeks this time. They have started me on a terbutaline Pump that is attached to my leg thruough a catheter constantly giving me a drip of medicine. They are also giving me weekly progesterone shots that may help.

1/28/08 Admitted into the hospital overnight. Contractions started back up even with the terbutaline every 2 minutes. They sent me home the next day on the indocin pills that controlled the preterm.

2/1/08 Had a Dr.'s appointment and found out that my cervix has shortened from 4.5cm to 2.5 cm... We will see at the next appointment if it has shortened more. If so, they may have to admit me for the remainder of the pregnancy.

2/8/08 Dr appointment...steroid shots to develop babies lung if born soon... check cervical length... WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

2/29/08 Had an appointment and U/s and the baby has started to funnel my cervix. So I am dilating from the inside of my cervix... not good:( I had a fetal fibronectin test and the results came back negative which means he is cooking for another two weeks. I only have to go every other week now, because the nursing company is coming to give me my progesterone shots at home. Still contracting though and I hope they start to die off a bit.

18 weeks prego

The best day of my life... June 9th 2006

Hopefully I'll be back to this size soon!

make a scrape book page or a shadow box. you can have a picture of him at the beach and glue the shell on and hang it on the wall. i go to a friends house who has a class on sat mornings. we make scrape book pages, shadow boxes, cards and we have made the boards that you can slide the pictures under some ribbon. i think a shadow box would work better then the page.

after what i went through with felicity i am paranoid. but i would think it is not under control. the reason there is more mucus is because the lining is getting irrated. and if the med is doing its job it shoud not be getting irrated. reflux itself is not bad it is the acid and the irratation that is bad. have your boys been given reglan ever? a lot of drs don't like it as it can have side effects. it worked great with felicity but did not do anythigng for ethan. it is to more food though the stomach faster so there is nothing to come up. you use it along with the prevacid. does he get sick a lot? my dr kept telling me her sinus infections was not a problem she was on antibiotic 10-11 times in on year. so i went to an ent on my own. i later got a new dr for my kids. i liked my dr he just was not eggressive enough for me. it is hard with silent reflux as well as you do not know they are refluxing. it is so frustrating. if he continues to be congested would not let it go with out trying to find out why. ethan has seen and ent and will see an allergist in dec. trying to cover it all. i hate to see him sick or congested even when he is not sick. be pushy with your dr.

i am not say ing every child with reflux will develope that so i am sorry if it sounded that way. my sil baby is on zantac and she is 9mos and doing good with its. it just depends on the child and yes a preemie would as they muscle is more likely to be weak.

no neither of my children with reflux were. all of them had milk and soy allergies. my youngest spit up a lot but alimentum helped. my second did not spit up but she would cry with feedings. my son was fussy but not as much as my daughter but he spit up constintly. and when he was on soy he had projectile vomiting. i tried to nurse all of them but it just did not work with everything. my daughter got very sick from a mixture of things but one being her ped did not have her reflux under control. i would tell him how she would cough with meals and other things and he just kept saying it was not related. so when we tried to take her off at a year she got pneumia and was inthe hospital for a week with breathing problems. he then put her back on meds and increased it. as you may know reflux creates extra mucus so every time she got sick(she was in daycare so often) she would get a sinus infection from to much mucus. which lead to chronic sinusitis and then her tonsils were so enlarged that she developed sleep apnea and had problems swallowing. she would gag and have to spit it out. so her tonsil got taken out and then she did not know how to swallow normal to large amounts of food so she got pneunia again from asprating. she is good with the reflux and is getting better with the swallowing. she was seeing a specialist after her second pneumonia. he had to have a test done at the age of 3 where they put a tube up her nose and down her throat for 24hrs to check for acid reflux. the wire to the machine had a kink in it and did not read anything. as soon as my son was put on meds i started taking him to a specialist. i think all her problems stemed from it not being treated properly. i do not think many ped or pcp now much about it. i was being told the wrong way to give the meds. my friends boy ended up going through the same thing as my daughter. they took him off his meds around 6-9mos and did not know he was silently refluxing. he is 2 and has tubes in his ears and his adnoids out for chronic sinusitis. i was shocked at how acid reflux can do so much damage. i hope you do not have to go through any of that. my daughter tested positive for airborne allergies so maybe allergies alone was why there is still problems. ethan was on prevacid solutabs one in the am and half at night and zantac in am and pm. i took him off zantac as he was doing well and even off of it he did. just make sure if he is not getting better you see a specialist. sorry to drag this out. it just worries me and upsets me. i don't want any one else child to be sick for 2-3yrs from it. my daughter has been on so much meds and had so many tests and xrays then i have in my life. the positive is they outgrow it.

thanks. how is your son's reflux. ethan has been spitting up a lot lately. he is walking now and she said that should help as it strengthens the abd muscles. and he seems works. maybe his teething is doing it.

trinity - Saturday, 9 August
have you used it? i was always a little werry about doing that.

trinity - Friday, 8 August
if i remember you are using alimentum? if so what was the sire where you can get the formula cheap? we are planning to have another in the next year and i have used that for all three of my kids. so i would like to be prepared with this one. thankfully i had wic with my first child as it was only in ready to use and it was $7 a can and she went through that a day.

HI Lsa...Oh no Spencer has started teething ! I jinxed you...sorry. Gee it would have to happen wouldn't it, Parker is just getting towards the end of his teeth (dor a while hopefully) and Spencer starts. How is Parkers walking going..its funny it won't be long and you will forget what it was like when he didn't walk. Hope you are well, say "Hi" to Clarissa for me. I am off to meet Shaun shortly...we have an appointment to look through a house .. I know we have just finished building, but this house is definitely worth a look. Hope to catch up with you soon xoxo

Hi honey, I saw that Parker is walking. and I love the pic you posted of Spencer. They are so cute. My kids are home for summer, I dont put them in camp or anything. We belong to a pool and they do swim team and soccer so it's pretty busy. Next week we are heading off to Maine for a week. How are you doing? How is it with the 2 boys? How's your back? Hope it's better. I'm good, just tired. I need a holiday. lol. Maybe in 10 years!

shirley and maya - Tuesday, 5 August
Thats so cute that he's patient now. Maya will never be like that. she wants things right now or else she wines until she either gets it or forgets about it. I hope the transition will be ok for her though cuse she's sch a sweetheart that I hate thinking how she'll have to share me now. I've been getting contractions on and off, mostly when i'm out doing things, walking too much but rarely when i'm just home doing nothing. I was still closed at my appointment last week and he wont induce me until I open up a bit so I'm hoping to be at least 1 cm by Monday.

shirley and maya - Tuesday, 5 August
wow!! congrats! I guess those 2 are on the same schedule LOL. How did it happen? you will see, in another day or two, he will just start walking around and its going to freak you out.

breezee - Monday, 4 August
Hi, thanks, when you first put him on Alimentum, did he act like he was hungry more often, my daughter has been crying since we switched her to the alimentum but I read that it is because it gives them the empty tummy feeling more often making them think they are hungry.
