She's a Girl!!! Ava Elisabeth!!

First Timer and Sick as a dog. Not throwing up just nauseated all the time. I don't have my first appointment until July 27th...we are so excited. My hubby and I have been trying for a year and the fertility docs told us it would never happen. We were already pregnant when they told us! I just laugh knowing that. Any advice I am up for. Trying to keep as nautural and healthy as possible.

July 24th

Well, I am 7 weeks and 3 days now. I have figured if I eat crackers with my prenatal vitamins and then eat during the night when I get up to pee and then immediately eat breakfast in the morning I can curb the nausea! Sounds like a whole lot of work to keep from getting sick. Feeling okay otherwise. Any one else have gas? I hate to ask but it is the painful kind that float up around your ribs? Oh well. I am waiting on Friday's appointment. I cannot wait. Then off to Florida for a well needed vacation for a week. It amazes me that this is the week where the heart is dividing into its separate parts that do the pumping! So amazing.

July 29th

We had our ultra sound on Friday. They said that the pregnancy is in the 7 and a half week range. The little one still has a bit of a tail. Next week the butt cheeks will fill in that little part:) We were so excited. The heart rate was at 141...does that mean anything sex wise. Boy girl I don't know. The doctor said everything looks good and I had lost 5 pounds so I need to make sure I maintain through the rest of the 1st trimester. Thanks for the encouraging notes everyone. Keep in touch!

August 7th

I just celebrated my 27th b-day and our 4th anniversary is coming on Thursday! A week for celebration. I go back tomorrow for another ultrasound. I signed up for a study with Vanderbilt University on pregnancy and I get a free ultrasound! Woo hoo! It will be fun to see the baby again. I got a message yesterday of one of my friends who lost their baby at 6weeks. It tore me up, I cried all afternoon. I don't even want to imagine how she feels and to all those out there who have I am so sorry for that! Keep me updated everyone! Take care and take it easy!

August 14th

Well, the morning sickness is sort of going away. It is not as bad as it was two weeks ago. The only thing is that I gag every morning when I brush my teeth. It is kind of annoying, but hilarious!! I have been having the same kind of dream over and over. In the dream my husband is killed in some way...car accident, boating accident, ect. What is going on! I wake up crying every time and they are soooo real. Anyone else?

August 23rd

I have my 11 week appointment tomorrow. Bring on the second Trimester, or as my little brother calls it the second semester:)lol!!! I am so much more tired today than I have been the last two weeks. I am very excited that the morning/all day sickness is GONE!!! I am hoping it is gone 4ever. I have been working hard, but barely able to keep my head up and eyes open. I am hungry all the time but I don't know what I want. I am happy. My hubby is painting the nursery and we are having new floors put in on Monday, so I am thrilled for a clean environment for the baby!! We do have a dog that has been our baby for 3 years now. I am going to have to figure out a way to include her in this whole process once the due date draws near. Okay has anyone else been a victim of breaking out all over your body? I have these little bumps on my arms and chest. Maybe I am allergic to my soap. I'll ask the doc. what to do tomorrow! I hope everyone is doing well. Keep me posted everyone. Talk soon!

November 24th!
Well Turkey day has come and gone. I ate way way too much but everything was exactly what I was wanting. Ava is moving all over all the time. she takes naps every now and then, but for the most part she moves. She likes the warmth of a hand on my belly. When we talk she will also move around. I love just seeing her face on the ultrasound and the video! The 4-D pics are amazing. She actually has lips that look like she has already had collagen put into them. I love it. We are really enjoying the pregnancy now that I am out of the woods of labor last week. Other than the toilet breaking and water going everywhere, the car breaking down and needing a new engine, and my dog needing the vet this week we are doing great! Love to all you mommies out there!
