See how my baby is doing

I'm Having a BOY!

I can't wait to hold Sammy

in my arms!

Hey There Ladies! Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a pretty little girl named Cora Rose who is two and a handful! I'm considered an high risk pregnancy due to high blood pressure, kidney infections with kidney stones and a kidney stint. My track record for carry babies is not good, but I'm hoping to be able to keep this one. I'm having a little boy, who I already love to death even though I haven't met him yet. Anyway, that's me.

June12, 2007 - Almost 23 weeks!

I saw my doctor today and for a change, everything seems to be going well! I didn't get to have an Ultra Sound but I did get to hear Sammy's heartbeat! I feel bad for my doctor though, everytime he got ahold of Sammy's heartbeat, Sammy would "run" away and "hide"! He finaly calmed down enough for the doctor to do his job, but he sure had to earn his money to do it!

Today was a really hard day for me. I saw my new urologest. He didn't have very many good things to tell me. He said that the urologest that put my stent in my kidney to keep my kidney fuctioning, back in Feb., should have been replacing it every 6-8 weeks so that I don't get infections and lose alot of blood. He said that if the stent isn't replaced every 6-8 weeks it makes it harder to replace it and because mine has been placed for 6 months it will be close to impossable to replace. Normally, when stents are replaced on pregnant women there is a 10% chance of loseing the baby but because this other doctor refused to give me proper care, I now have a 40% chance of losing my baby. I have to have this stent replacement surgery on June 28. If I don't than there's stonge possability that I might not survive. But if I do, than there's a good chance that Sammy won't survive. I've fought so hard and for so long to keep him and now I find out that becauseof a doctor's neglect I can lose him, it just crushes me! So, now, I guess I need to start praying for a miricle. It's in God's hands.

Well, ladies, I'm back! My surgery went really well. The nurses didn't even have trouble inserting an I.V. into my arm, which is usually a hard task. They had a hard time finding Sammy's heartbeat, but that's because he kept playing hide and seek with them. Anyway, weboth came out OK and right now I feel the best that I've felt in six months! I did have to go back into tri-age yesterday for some heavy bleeding, but I'm Ok. In fact, I got to have another U/S done and see my little boy sucking his thumb! I'll have to go back in six weeks to do this surgery again, but I'm not frightened this time. Anyway, it's all over, I feel so much better and I still have my little boy, who I already love so much! God, did perform a miricle!

Ok ladies, I saw the doctor today. They said that Sammy is doing really well. He's very active, which I can confirm.LOL! The doctor did say though that Sammy is too big for how far along I am. He said that Sammy really shouldn't weigh more than 2.7 lbs and he's weighing in at 3.7 lbs. so he's gonna be a big boy! The doctor said that I probably will have to be induced around the 2nd or 3rd week in Sept. because of Sammy's size. That's ok with me! LOL! Anyway, over all it was a really good visit!

Aug. 21, 2007

Well ladies, at 31 weeks I lost my mucus plug and I droped four days ago! I really miss my shelf! I saw the doctor yesterday to make sure that I haven't dialted yet, and I haven't, but Sammy sure is down low! He went from a breacg position to head down which is GREAT! Anyway, I had an ultrasound yesterday and the tech. said he's doing really well. Sammy is weighing in at 5.7 lbs and I'm not even 33 weeks yet! That means that if I was able to go full-term, which I can't, Sammy would be weighing in around 13 lbs. OUCH! The tech. also said that she could see fat rolls on him! I thought she was jokeing, but she wasn't! She pointed them out to me. He has fat rolls on his legs, arms and tummy. I said to her, " See, I told you I was going to have a hippo!" So my som is a chucker! LOL! Anyway, We're both doing well, but he sure is heavy! I can't wait to hold him in my arms!
