I am excited and nervous! This is my first baby and I am full of curiosity and joy! This was a huge surprise!!! I guess that is a good thing since I have loved surprises my whole life. I really can't even imagine holding my own child! I don't think that this pregnancy has really hit me yet.....but I'll tell you what has. Morning sickness, mood swings, being tired, a superwoman sense of smell, and much more :) I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir! I pray for a heatlhy baby and have really just started thinking about the fact that a baby is really growing inside of me!!! I am also in denial that my belly is really going to get big. I just finished a hard year of working out and eating healthy to get in better shape. I just lost 37 lbs. and now.......SURPRISE. Wow! :) I love life. If it was predictable it would be boring. I have not gained any weight in my first trimester. I actually lost 10 lbs. I have been so sick. I look forward to eating healthy and staying healthy in my pregnancy for myself and my baby. My boyfriend has been awesome. I look forward to my next appointment in a month when he will go with me for the first time to the Dr. to see the baby for himself. I know it will be a huge thing. I can't believe that I saw an actual little tiny baby in my last ultrasound complete with a beating heart. (tear) I cried the whole way home. I could not believe that the last time I went to the Dr. for the confirmation I was staring at a tiny dot that was my "baby" and at ten weeks I could see kicking legs and boxing arms!.......from MY child. Could anything be more exciting than that?!! Getting sick does not bother me so much after I heard that heartbeat and saw those little kicking legs. When I get sick now I think of those tiny kicks and smile through the misery :)
I will pray for all you mothers out there for healthy, beautiful, and smart babies. You are beautiful. Keep your heads up no matter what your situation is! :)
I can't wait to hold my baby in my arms, tell them I love them and give them a kiss!!!
12-5-07 Well......My next appointment is this Saturday. I am excited. Maybe my Dr. will be able to tell me the sex early since she is doing an U/S. I am hopeful. I love the people I am meeting on here.....what an incredible support system of strong women!!!!! :)

We did it! We finished the nursery, and bought the baby lotion and bath soap and diapers, blah blah. It is so fun to nest. And now I am going to pack my first diaper bag. :) It sort of (kind of) makes up for the fact that I just got stretch marks overnight this week. :(

Thanks! I FINALLY updated them. The makeover on this page threw me for a loop and I have been slow to do much, but we finally took a few pictures.
I know exactly what you mean about baby laundry and packing the bags! We had our last baby shower over the weekend and got a ton of clothes, the bath, a hand-me-down changing table and crib, washcloths, etc. Anyhoo, I am ready to do baby laundry and pack my bags. Tomorrow is baby laundry day. Then we are going to put it all away and make a list of what we still need. Over the weekend we will shop till we drop, get the baby's things all ready to go, and then pack my bags. We are soooooo close!!!! I can't wait to hear your story when you get your little boy.

True, true. We do need updated pictures. I guess 3rd trimester lethargy has slowed my resolve. I have the family baby shower this weekend and had the friend baby shower 3 weeks ago. I was kind of guessing that the family shower would have more of the practical stuff, but I guess not huh?

Yes, she is loving life and thriving in there! She is big and healthy and I hope she decides to come early. I will be walking marathons when I am full term because I really don't need her growing the extra pounds that babies put on in the 40-42nd week! Guess I have always wanted natural, but just amped up the research through the course of pregnancy and decided I definitely want that. It is fun bonding time with my husband to go to these classes (12 weeks long). Anyways, how about you? Have you looked at birth plans at all?

You picture that says 'really, only 2 lbs?' is exactly how I feel! How can I be so big if she is so small! And we have MONTHS to go! Frightening me a bit lately. Anyhoo, yes I am doing the same thing. My 'friends' baby shower is April 5th and my family one is April 26th. Should be really fun!

Yes, we registered there too! A whole afternoon somehow passed by but it was sooo much fun! I went buck wild on cherry blossom themes and colors, and my hubby picked out the stroller and diapers (remaining level headed while I lost it on my estrogen high). It was funnN!!

We are 25 weeks tomorrow! Can you believe it? For some reason it is really starting to trip me out. One more week and we are in the third trimester. We are going to have our babies in our arms in no time!! I guess I should go and register and start a bit more of the concrete planning stuff soon huh? How about you? Have you picked out nursery stuff and a registry yet?

Cute! Baby boys dressed like lil men are so cute! I wonder if we will still use this page once the babies get here? But it would be cute if later on we could post pictures of our lil ones in their lil clothes. All that dreaming about baby and we have no idea what they will be like, or look like. They are in there making hair and baby fat for their cheeks. I can't wait to see!

That is probably a good idea because people may have some loony comment about the name but will love it as soon as it is attached to your baby. Does it sound right when you say the name and talk to your belly? Does it seem to fit?

Cute bump pictures! Looking good! I know what you mean about sudden rapid growth. Joe did a double take on me a couple of weeks ago, and again today. That is pretty much how I gauge the growth spurts. When he goes 'wow you are huge!' with all of the eloquence that only man can muster. :) He is being sweet though and baby girl isn't messing around. Post your 18 weeks! You are looking good in your 11 week, but as big as your baby daddy is, I wouldn't be surprise if you bump has leaps and bounds! Congrats on your lil boy. Any names yet?

Everyone keeps telling me he is a big boy but the dr. said he was growing right on target. :)
I am barely 5ft and my boyfriend is 5'8 so we are short petite people so I don't think we are going to have a huge baby... but who knows?
