My Mothering Style:
I breastfeed only. I only let him use a bink at night and I am trying to wean him of it. My milk is top priority! I don't drink any caffeine, soda or alcohol EVER. I never eat junk food or fast food. I eat as much organic foods as possible. I don't dye my hair, paint my nails or use any products on my body that aren't nature derived or that have any words in the ingredient list that I am unsure of their source. My shampoo is even organic... and so is Conrads! I believe in cuddling him as much as he wants in the day time but at night, if his daiper is clean and his belly is full- then it is time for bed, and he already understands this. In the daytime we talk, do a lot of tummy time activities and stretches. This is my routine so far! I hope it doesn't scar him for life :) !!

Conrad was born 8 days ago, on June 6, 2008 at 10:19 AM. He was 5 pounds 6 ounces and 19 inches long. He was about 5 weeks early. He was just realeased from the hospital yesterday, after a one week stay. It was tough living at the hospital - we are so happy to be home, especially in time for Father's Day tomorrow.

31 weeks and the crib is coming today! The crib is coming today! We've been waiting since the beginning of March! I can't wait to see it and to put the mattress and bedding in it.... Oh, I can't wait to get off work. Then this weekend we will match paint swatches to the crib to get the right white paint so we can paint the rest of the furniture to match the crib. I've gained 30 pounds so far!

My birthday is in 2 days. I barely even care. It is all about my little boy now. Blake and my mom are almost done touching up the paint in the nursery. We put up the border and the new fan for the ceiling. Everything is wonderful. I've decided to have a natural birth in the hospital. It sounds very scary, but I want to try it. And, I'm pretty sure we are naming him Conrad William.

I'm almost 23 weeks. Yesterday we sent out our baby shower invitations! Each one has a little glittery duck on the front of a light blue card. It will be on May 25th. I have a lot of energy now, especially on the weekends! We get so much done too. A few more weeks and we should have the nursery finished. We picked Animal Antics crib set by Sumersault. Our Gift Registry is all set up and ready for people to start buying our little baby stuff. I can feel him a lot at night and a little bit throughout the day.

We bought our baby a stroller last night! It is an Eddie Bauer, brown/light blue/light green combo! I love it. Now I just need a baby to put in it...

We're having a baby boy! The ultrasound tech thinks the due date is actually July 14th, but my OB wants to keep the original due date of July 7th, 2008. I guess since that was the original date estimated at the beginning, it is the most accurate.

Tomorrow at 4pm Blake and I will be finding out the sex of our first baby! I am so excited. In about 20 minutes I will be getting my first pre-natal massage. Ahhh, relaxation. Despite coming down with a cold yesterday, something tells me this is going to be a good week.

I'm 18 weeks today and I love my maternity clothes. They're the best. I've begun the baby gender count down. Eight more days until we find out if our baby is a boy or a girl. I am also starting to get baby presents/hand me downs, which I think is funny, because it is either blue stuff or pink stuff. We'll see!

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, and I'm starting to show. I went into San Francisco today and met up with my best friend Lucy and her friend Mary. We walked around the wharf, Pier 39 and then we drove to the Sutro Bath House ruins. All that activity wore me out. Now I'm extra sleepy. February 13th we find out if I'm having a boy or a girl!

We went to the doctors today. She couldn't find our babies heart beat, which was disapointing. But everyone expected to see a new ultra sound picture today, so it worked out nicely because she wasn't planning on doing an ultra sound, but then she had too. The baby was fine, and we could see the heart beating on the screen, she just couldn't find it with the doppler. Tonight I ate boiled baby beets and goat cheese. It was so delicious. Oh, and of course she couldn't tell if our baby is a boy or a girl yet!

Tomorrow Blake and I will be going to the doctors again. I will be 14 weeks 1 day tomorrow. I've gained 5 pounds since pre pregnancy and I've been feeling pretty good lately, except the nightly heartburn. Blake thinks that if our baby is a boy, then we will definately know tomarrow...what a guy thing to say...sheeesh!

We just got back from touring the labor and delivery department of our hospital. I was definately the least pregnant woman at the tour! I guess I'm just extra excited. And I saw the movie Juno today. I really liked it. It was sweet. I don't plan on giving my baby up for adoption, like the girl in the movie does, but it was still sweet... and really funny. I recommend it.

I'm in my 12th week and I really want to know if it is a boy or girl. I am really lucky to not have morning sickness that bad, only if I see something gross. Because I have a kidney stone, my gyno has me taking antibiotics for my whole pregnancy. It makes me really sad. I really resisted at first, but the consequences of not taking them are so much worse. I HATE medicine!! My next appt. is in a week an a half.
Lol...he looks so calm here...my boy would be screaming bloody murder!
Now this is what i call a cutie pie! Babies are such amazing little things! |
