Well today is week 6. My husband and I are very excited about this pregnancy. I just want it to be a healthy 9 months. We are actually in the process of moving back towards home. We live in Boston right now (well I do, he is at his job in PA) Someone just put an offer on our house. Looks like next week I can finally put in my 2 week notice. Not too many people know about this pregnancy so far. Our parents know but we have to wait to tell grandparents till Turkey Day! I am sure they will be excited!! I haven't really had many signs. I have been exhausted. No real morning sickness which is good. I am starving all the time! I have been having some cramping in my lower abd. My first appt with my OB isn't untill Nov 26th. I think I will be like 8 1/2 weeks. A little late I think but oh well. Ok thats all for now!

Well today is week 7. I have been sick this past week. I just wish I could lose some of this weight being sick LOL. A year ago I quit smoking and I gained a good 30 lbs. I was trying to get it all off and then I got pregnant. Now I am stuck with all this extra weight and still gaining. It is very depressing. I have up my different belly photos to try and see what I look like. I think I look fat. What do you think? I had to cancel my first OB appt. We are in the process of moving this weekend. I will not be up in Boston, so once I get down in PA I need to find a OB. My last day of work is on Tuesday. I am super excited!! I am going to miss everyone there though. They have become family. Yesterday they took me out and bought me dinner, they had a cake for me, and got a gift card plus money for some things for my new house! Anyways.. I hope everyone is feeling well!! XOOX

Holly cow where has time gone! It has been a long time since I updated. I am now in week 10. I am still tired but other then that I feel great! Our move is done so I am back in PA WAHOOO!! I had a job interview already last Friday and I think that it went really well. I have my first appt on Dec. 6th. I am so excited that my husband will get to be there. It is deffinatley going to make it feel more real when we hear the heartbeat or see our little bean. I am starting to show a lot more now I think. Well I was fat anyways so it is kind of hard to tell but to me it looks like I am. I can't fit into any of my clothes anymore. Well I hope all is well with you new mommys!! I will post U/S pics if we get some!! XOOX

12/06/07

Well, today was mine and Alans first OB/GYN Appt. It was very exciting. The midwife came in and she asked us if we were ready to see our littleone. Of course we both said yes!! She started the U/S and WOW. Alans moulth just droped. I started to cry, I just couldn't even believe that there was a little bean in there. He/she was very active. It keep crossing its legs, and I said it better not do that at 20 weeks! It was just so awesome to know there was really something inside of me growing that my husband and I made out of love. We coudln't be more happy and we couldn't be more blessed. I love this baby more and more every day. Our next appt is actually in 2 weeks. We are getting the early testing done for Down Syndrom. We still have to talk about it if we want that one or not. But we have another appt Dec. 28th. I will be 13 weeks then. Very excited to see baby Erb again. They pushed my due date back to July 2,2008.

I guess that everything happens for a reason, I quit smoking a year ago, we moved back to PA and found out we were pregnant. Our lives are finally coming together and we couldn't be happier. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have been supportive. It means the world to us! Meet Baby Erb!!!

Good morning everyone! Well I am now 12 weeks! I guess they say that you can kind of stop worrying now. I don't know if I ever will stop worrying LOL. Things have been going great here! I have my next appt Dec. 28th. I can't wait!! Yesterday I had a bunch of blood work done, they did 8 vials!! I couldn't believe it. But I knew it had to get done, I was just happy that I had eaten and drank something before I went there or I would have been pretty dizzy! I haven't been getting sick anymore which is great! I have been snoring and my poor husband is going to kill me soon I think LOL. The past 2 night though I have not snored and that is because I put in a humidifyer. It works like wonders! On another note, I got a job!!! YAYYA Now I can stop being a bum lol. I start Jan. 2nd and I can't wait!! I will keep everyone updated after Christmas. Hope everyone has a safe and very Merry Christmas!!!

Feb 16,2008

Well we are half way through this pregnancy and I couldn't feel better!! We had our U/S last week and found out that baby Erb is officially a little boy!!! He looked great! He wouldn't turn for us though. He was facing down the whole hour and a half! I kept saying he is stuborn all ready LOL. I can't believe how big he has gotten. He is 11 oz. His heart rate was 150. They said he was a healthy baby boy! Which we couldn't be happier with.

He is really starting to move now and kick me. I love it though, it scares me because he does it at the most random times but it is the most awesome feeling in the world! I know thats what I am going to miss the most. I am deffinatley getting big and people are saying I am going to have a 10lb baby! Gosh I hope not!! I don't know if I could do that LOL.

Today we are headed to babiesrus to finish our registry. I am sooo excited!! I have started the planning for the baby shower so we are moving right along!

Anyways, we go back for another appt on the 28th so I will let you know how it all goes!

02/28/08Well we are in week 23 now. We had our appt today and things went well. We got to hear baby erbs heart beat 150. They told me that everything looked great from our last U/S. Which was a big relief! They measured me and I actually measured a week earlier but they kept my due date at June 26th. I also gained 8lbs since my last appt. SO I am now up to 171. Scary!!!

Not much else going on, we got his bassinette and set it up now we just need him! Today he moved like crazy on the way home. I can't believe how much I can feel him now. Alan still doesn't want to feel my belly which makes me sad. But maybe with time he will like my growing belly.

Has anyone ever had the feeling that they arn't going to be the best mother they could possiably be? I am scared to death that I can't give him everything that he needs. What if I don't even know how to hold him. Gosh it scares me! I guess it will come with time.

Josiah Thomas Erb!!!

Thats his name and we are sticking to it! I couldn’t be happier that we finally decided to name our little man. And his name just means everything to me. Josiah is Alans middle name, but it was also his great great great Grandfathers name! Thomas was my Mom’s fathers name. We did have another name that we were toying with besides this one but we just felt this one would mean more to us and to our familys. His nick name will be Joey. I just love it!!!

We went to pick up all of his furniture yesterday. We got his crib, his dressers, his pack and play and his stroller. Then I went to pick up some stuff for the shower that I have planned for May 3rd. Things are just moving right along. I can't believe how fast it has all gone. Josiah has been moving around like a crazy man. Sometimes he does scare me though, he wouln't move and then once I am laying in be he will decide that he wants to move LOL.

03/30/08

Well I had my glucose test on Friday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had to drink this orange drink in 2 mins. I just gulped it all down because I didn't want to let it linger LOL. Now I just wait for the results. They said that if I don't hear from them it is good news. If I do hear from them and the test came back positive I then have to go in for a 3 hour test. I am scared to death! Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything is fine. The rest of the appt went relatively well. I am now at 177 which means I have gained 22lbs. They told me that I needed to really start watching what I ate. I also measured a week bigger again. So that would put me at 28 weeks. My blood pressure was a little higher then it usually was but it wasn't bad. They had to take 4 vials of blood checking for anemia and all the other stuff. And thats about it. Not much else happened. My next appt is May 28th. Then I start going every 2 weeks. I am down in the home stretch now!
I am starting to feel really uncomfortable. Yesterday we were walking around and I had a lot of pressure. He has been very active these past 2 days and really kicking me. I love to feel it it is just a little bit much. I am ready to meet my little man already.
I am a new aunt!!! Aimee had her baby on March 27th at 3:15am. She had to have an emergency C Section but her and baby are doing great! He is one of the most beautiful babies I have every seen. He is very tiny though. 6lbs 5oz 19 inches long. I am so scared that I am going to break him!!! I am so happy that we get to be here though to see all of this. We have missed so much with living up in Boston. Now we get to see everything. Its great!

04/21/08

Well our appt went really well. They weighed me and I only gained 1/2 a lb in 3 weeks. That is very good for me LOL. Then she talked to me about my diet and how my blood sugar was doing. She said it was a little high but nothing to be too worried about and she said that with the right diet and exercise that I have nothing to worry about. Which is what I wanted to hear.
I measured a week big again and she said that he is about 3 1/2 to 4lbs already. He is gonna be a big boy! I am now scheduled every two weeks up until I am 36 weeks then it goes to every week. I asked if I would get another u/s again and she said probably not unless there is some concern. So I really don't want one LOL. I just want him healthy!
I have started to wash all of his clothes and getting stuff in order. I can't believe that this coming weekend we go for our prenatal classes and then the following weekend is my shower. Man how time does fly! Alan and I have been going on walks every night which is so nice. It is nice to get out with him and just walk and enjoy the nice spring air! I can't wait to be pushing my little man around though!!
Anyways, my next appt is 05/01/08 so I will let you all know how it goes! I am sure I will write before then though!

So our 34 week went awesome! I got in there and they weighed me and I lost 3 lbs WAHOOO!! Then they copied my numbers down for my sugar. The Dr was really happy that my numbers were good. He said these are excellent!! I really really like this Dr by the way. So he measured me and said that I measured at 35 weeks. He said so you haven't had a non stress test yet have you?? I said no why do I need one of those? He said because you are diabetic and we want to make sure everything is ok with the baby. So he monitored that for about a half an hour. Came back and everything looked great! Little Joeys heart rate was between 136-163. Then he talked to us about all of our questions that we had. He said I am going to have you coming in every week now for a non stress test and every Monday for a biophysical u/s. So I now get to go to the Dr's 2 times a week LOL. He also said that little Joey weighes almost 6lbs already! Wow he is getting big. Anyways I am very happy about the outcome and he said that if I make it to 40 weeks he will then induce me.

I got my haircut as well, it is more of a mommys haircut! I will take pictures and post them soon!!

Geez I have been slacking!!!

So my appt went great! I lost another 3 pounds! Wahooo Which means I am down 6lbs lol. Thats 6 less that I have to lose. Joey was very active during the non-stress test. The Dr came in and said I have never seen a baby that active this late in the pregnancy before. She couldn't get over it LOL. Everything is right on time. They didn't check me to see if I was dialiated or not because they don't do that till I am 39 weeks. Oh well.. better for me cause I hear it is very uncomfertable to get an internal. The Dr said that I am free game to go at any time. SO bring on the contractions LOL. I am really ready to meet our little man. I just hope and pray that everything will go ok. Other than that everything went well, they are very happy with my sugar levels and my strep b came back negative! Thank god LOL. She said she will see me in a week LOL.

On another note Alan and I have made some changes. We have decided that we are going to split the next years living arangements. For the first 6 months we are going to stay with his father and step mother. This will make us closer to work and thank god Aimee will beable to watch the baby. Plus it will give my parents more time to sell their house and find something closer to dad's job and our job. Then the final 6 moths we will be staying at my parents house. I am just a little worried about mom watching the baby because she does not drive very far, and if she can't get him to the dr's when it is needed then Alan or I would have to drive over an hour to get there. So that is why we have made this decision. We will see how it all works out. We are very blessed to have family around and we appreciate everything that everyone had done for us. We love you guys!!! On that note... I will let you know if anything happens. (oh I got all 8 weeks off for maternity!)
