Hello! I am 37 .....many days feel it, and on the good ones, don't :o) I last had a child almost 14 years ago! I remarried almost two years ago and this will be our first child together and his FIRST altogether.

I have 2 children at home and one is grown and out of the house. My birth experiences are as different as each of my children! My first (20 years ago) was a completely natural home birth. It was an awesome experience and everything went perfectly. My second (15 years ago) was an emergency c-section at 37 weeks to save the life of my precious son. A year and a half after that I had my daughter VBAC in the hospital with an epidural....so I can say I have tried it all :o) LOL. This baby will be a c-section. My old doc retired and my new doc doesn't do VBACs. I like him alot and trust him.

I also have an beautiful 1 year old grandson. He is a joy and amazing to watch!

We were pregnant in 2006 but miscarried in December. I have found myself worrying a bit too much....about m/c again. I have to keep trusting God for this and all things. It's good to know He is in charge and knows all the details :o)

April 14th, 2008

I am just counting the days til we go to the doc again. Last Tuesday, I felt some definite kicks up near the top of my uterus but nothing really since then. It scares me...I was hoping that was the beginning of feeling my little one every day. I hope and pray constantly for a healthy, living, thriving strong baby. I know God can see directly into my womb and knows what is happening. I trust Him with everything....yet am human and still get scared.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have been too depressed to get online. Things could be much better, but could be worse. My allergies are killing me since getting pregnant. How are you doing? Did you have a good Mother's Day? Talk to you soon.

Its okay.. it will be nice to be surprised in the end. Now I cant wait to give birth lol.

I just noticed your comment on my blog about the rude doctor - thank you! I'm prepared to stick up for me next time, although I do comfort myself by saying that it takes allllll kinds to make up this world, and I'm happy she's not in mine for very long lol.... She's obviously disillusioned with her job and needs pity lol

Well I didnt get to find out after all. The first shot looked like girl then it looked like boy. Doc said 60% girl since he didnt see the testicles but idk. I guess it was meant to be a surprise.

agonzales - Monday, 12 May

Thanks.. Ive been alright, I too have a hard time sleeping and I always wake up on my back also lol so have you found out what your having?

judi - Monday, 12 May
Thanks Dawn, Yeah, I keep thinking OMG, we have 20 more weeks of getting even bigger!! I've gained nearly 2 kg in the last 2 weeks - that makes a huge 11kg since pre-pregnancy. I feel enormous. I'm probably not drinking as much water as I should. What do they recommend - about 8 glasses a day? I'd be running to the loo non-stop! Hope you had a good Mother's Day, too. My girls bought me a new teacup covered in pink roses, a scented candle, and a pretty photo frame. I feel loved! :)

Oh, I'm having an uncomfortable day. Feel huge, and tired and I've started getting cramps in my calf muscles, which i had with my second pregnancy, but not since, until now. I think I'm feeling my age! Don't know how I'll cope with getting even bigger over the next 20 weeks!!

judi - Friday, 9 May
Hi there! I had my scan on Wednesday, and Baby is a little girl, and developing well. Everything looks normal and healthy! Such a relief. And I'm thrilled with a girl - I had kept telling myself I didn't mind either way, but in my heart I really was hoping for a girl. Yay!! Now we can start thinking of names!! So exciting! She is moving a lot more, and I just love feeling her little squirms and kicks. And yeah, be nice when she turns into a watermelon!

yes I got my ultrasound.. I have pics of the baby on my page. they said its a girl!!!

judi - Friday, 2 May
It seems like every time I feel baby move, I think "was that Baby?" and I have to keep my hand there and wait for another. It's really hard to be certain. He/She seems to time it for when your not expecting it. I was reading that Baby is about 10cm from head to bottom, now, and that's just the size of little Tycho's tellytubby toy. Except the toy is yellow and furry and kinda dumb looking. But it's nice to find a doll just the same size, and think about that. In the week-by-week descriptions, they seem to be always comparing baby's size to fruits: this week it's a plum, then an apple, then an avacado, now a cantaloupe! I hope we're not gonna give birth to fruit salad! :)

I am so glad that you guys feel better;)
Bummer about having to pay for the ultrasound, we are lucky here, all maternity and related maternity is free in New Zealand, that is of course if you go public, but if you go private then you have to pay, and if you want more u/s than they allocate for you, that would be an extra expense.
Let me know how the u/s goes?
Things haven't been too good for me lately, I wrote about on my latest blog.
keep in touch sweetheart
hugs Nic
