Today was my 4D appointment to determine the gender. I was 100% sure after reviewing the chinese calendar that I was going to have a girl. My brother's girlfriend was the same age and due the same month when she had her little girl. So according to the chinese calendar you figure out the gender by your age and month it was conceived or month due; therefore, I was positive I was having a girl. My appointment was at 12:30pm and we arrived at 12:00pm, I was quite anxious to find out and prove my mom wrong since she had been saying I was going to have a boy. As for my husband he wanted a girl but he never was positive about if it was a boy or a girl. My husband, sister, my niece, my nephew, and my mom went with me. As soon the tech started the ultrasound after a minute or so she said "Oh, it looks like a boy"...I was completely quiet because I was just SURE that I was having a girl....My mom and sister were happy and said "you see we told you this whole time it was a boy"...i didn't sink in at the momemt but it was very nice to see my little munchkin for a longer period of time. He was very active and moving all over, he was waving and covering his private several times. It's totally amazing how good he looked!! After all, I figured a boy is just fine as long as he's healthy and okay ;)

Today I had an ultrasound at the hospital I will be delivering at. It was an exam to check all the babies organs and body length, they had me come in with a full bladder. It took the tech about 20-30 minutes to check the baby, the first thing she mentioned was "your baby is very active!! Have you felt it yet?". I told her I didn't feel it yet. It's kind of odd how much he moves since day one and I still haven't felt him. I totally can't wait to feel him kick. After that they called in my husband so we can both look at the baby and have some pictures, she also showed us his little heart, brain, stomach and other little visible organs. The tech asked if we would like to know the sex and of course we said yes, without letting her know we got a 4D on our own. I still had some hope that I would get a different result but NO little nathan was just confirmed!! He was moving all over and he was opening and closing his mouth as he was to be chewing, he even flip overed to his tummy out of no where it was amazing!!! He looked much bigger this time and actually looked like a baby now. My next appointment is Apr. 10th and I been waiting for it inpatiently since I will then get my AFP and today's exam results. I hope everything comes out well and he's very healthy.
I had my doctor's appointment this morning. I was a bit anxious while waiting for my doctor to enter the room since I was about to get my AFP and babies ultrasound exam results. Everything was completely normal she said the baby weight 7 oz. last week and the AFP results were negative, such a relief!!!! to hear my munchkin is doing fine. I also heard his heartbeat and it was strong and very loud. I think Im actually starting to feel him move around today :) Well that's about it, now I just have to wait for the baby to continue growing healthy and wait for my next app. on May 12.

The worst thing happened to me today. I had class at 8am and was running a bit late so I wasn't able to have a big breakfast but I did take a banana and a apple juice until I had a break to have breakfast; however maybe like an hour after I ate that I was sitting listening to the lecture and I started to feel a bit dizzy and like I needed a bit of air, I was going to tell my friend who was next to me to walk with me outside but since we had to go through a lot of people in class I decided to close my eyes for a minute and see if I would feel fine. I then don't know what happened to me, it felt like I was dreaming and trying to think for an answer very hard it was weird...and then i heard my friend calling my name and shaking me then I came back and seen the whole class was looking at me and I asked my friend what's going on, I hadn't realized what had happened to me. I was able to stand up fine and walk I didn't feel shakey or anything but they did say I shook a bit when it was all happening, by the time I walked out the paramedics had arrived and they took my vitals and they said my heart rate was fine and I had no temperature, kind of odd. I did touch my chest and could feel my heart pumping a little fast, anyways my friend drove me home and my husband took me to the ER and I had an EKG and blood tests done, my EKG was fine and my blood results were fine except for one abnormality, the doctor said my red blood cells were low so I guess im anemic but back in january i was fine and was not anemic at all, he said something about the normal range level is 12 and I was at 10. However he said it was nothing to alarm myself about and to just follow up with my OBGYN, I was worried about the baby so he did a quick ultrasound to make me feel better and he was moving and his heartbeat was ok so I felt much more better after that. Now im a bit terrified that it can happen again and I could be driving. Tomorreow I have a doctors appointment with my OBGYN and hope everything goes well. Im scared because I know fainting is common in early pregnancy but not at 5 months.

Well, Ususally the pics are very clear, and when I was watching him on the screen, I could see everything so perfect, it was just the way he was lying and all the wiggling he was doing that made the pcis to crappy. lol. I wish september would just get here already! I want to see my baby boy so bad! I bought my first baby boy outfit today, and bought a set of Bibs for him. They are so cute! My husband is a Welder/heavy Machine Mechanic, so the bibs I got had Buldozers, cranes, trucks etc. I can;t wait to show my husband tonight when I get home.

Wow, you're getting a 4D U/S? Hoe amazing, I wish I could do that! Well, I just got back from my U/S, and my little boy was being such a wiggle worm that we could not get any good pictures! Every time she would snap the pic, he would move, and they would come out blurry, and he was laying upside down with his feet at my belly button, so we were unable to get a profile pic. :*( But it was still so nice to see him again! Isn't it great to have your family feel the baby? It is such a great experience I think. I love being pregnant!!! ƒº I can¡¦t wait for your U/S appt, I want to see the pics!!!

I am doing really good thank you!! I love the hott weather. I am was born and raised in California. San Jose. I loved the warm weather, now I live in Washington state, and there is nothing but rain, i can;t stand it!!! Anyways, My belly is getting so big!!! it's crazy, and my little one moves all day long! Last night when I got home, he was so active, so I layed down, and had my husband put his hand on my belly to see if he could feel hgim kick..... and he was able to feel the baby move!! My hsuband was so excited to feel his baby for the first time. It was amazing!!! Have you been able to have anyone feel your little one yet? I have another U/S today!! I had one at 19 weeks, but they were unable to get a picture of his spine due to his positioning, so we are going to get that done today at 1pm, so I will have new pics posted this afternoon! :)

i've never had nose bleeds in my life but for the past month or so my nose seems like its always bloody..sometimes justa little bit and sometimes alot..never enough to drip out on its own but enough when i blow my nose to use a whole tisssue to soak it up..i read thats normal and its becasue there is alot mroe blood flow or something

Hi,
Just wanted to check in to see how you are doing. I hope you havn't had any more fainting spells! Congrats on your Nathan! When we had the ultra sound, the tech asked if we wanted to know. I almost caved. But I told her that she didn't need to stay away from that area because if we figure it all out on our own, then we didn't cheat! Alas, we couldn't tell anything. But I just have a feeling it is a little girl. Maybe when we go for our 3D/4D ultrasound towards the end of June we'll figure it out then. Hope you are feeling well.

I read your message about passing out... I have had similar experiences in previous pregnancies... My blood pressure is actually to blame. Mine runs on the lower side anyways, but drops even lower when I am pregnant. Just be careful, and talk with the OB doctor to find out if there is an extra iron supplement you should be taking, and if that could have been to blame for your incident... Good luck with everything! I also found out on New Years Eve that I was pregnant!

i've only gotten one u/s and i think thats all im getting. When you get the big u/s at the hospital with the fancy machines they measure your baby based on the measurements they tell you exactly how far along you are. thats the only case in which they would change your due date. I hear that a lot of people get jumped a week or more. I guess it depend on how regular you period was and if regular like me than the first estimated due date is very close to what you actually are.

I want get to find out for another 6 wks. My doctor seems to think this is the best time to get all the measurements he needs. So the anticipation will have to keep growing. I thought about a 4d but want to wait till I am little further along.
