[may 17] well we didnt get to come home on thurs...jacobi was naughty and had a big spell on mon...and since then little spells, but right now i am sitting in my boarding room and jacobi is getting his circumcision(the next to last thing before they sent him home!!!) then the neonatologist will come by and check him out 1 more time and then we should get our discharge orders!!! i am so excited i can barely stand it!!! he was so good last night too!!! he barely ever cries and is so content to just sit in my arms...h eis no way as fussy and my middle child addison was...omg he cried for hours on end!!! so once again sorry havent been on much...we had class after class we had to take...oh and jacobi is doing great at bfing...he is up to 6lb 2.5oz...my big boy!!! i love all of you ladies!!!

[may 9th] good day today...doc gave approx date to come home as this coming thurs...may 15th...o i hope he is right!!!

[apr 20th] well last night meemaw schmidt got to hold baby jacobi...she was in love!!!! papa came in and got to talk to jacobi. we are thinking that jacobi looks like papa. and DADDY HELD HIM!!! this was huge as addison at 8 lbs scared him...jacobi loved being held by dad...then we got to do another hour of kangaroo care!!! i love it so much and he is doing so well...he had his eyes wide open and smiled and frowned for like 20 min... then this morning grandma shirley and i went up and saw him again...gma shirley got an 1/2 hour snuggle time then i got another hour of kangaroo care...this time he slept straight through he was so comfy!!!
ok now down to all the medical news...he gain 100grams last night or approx 3 ounces!!!!so the faster we get him fattened up the better!!! lol and with my kids that usually isnt a problem! he has taken all of his feeds like a champ and has had no residuals...so now we just work on growing and breathing...then in like 10 days or so we will work on breastfeeding... i am pumping for him and man am i back..producing more then 2ounces every 3 hours...in fact they told me they had too much and i should start storing at home which is fine by me... so far my experiance in the nicu has been fairly good. overall we have had great news and he is proving to be the little fighter i always knew he could be!!!

april 18th]just a little update...his weight has dropped to 3lbs 12oz so he really looks like a preemie now (swimming in his preemie diaper) but doc said it is good that he looses that weight because it is just fluid not fat or muscle weight so getting all that fluid has made breathing much much easier on him...in fact he is on cpap and last night at 12am he was on 34% oxygen support but at 6am he was on 29% oxygen support and they said that the room air oxygen level is 21% so we are getting there...and he seems like he is having a much much easier time breathing, his tummy doesnt go out quite as far and his respitory rate drop from 88breaths per min to 45 breaths per min...YAY oh and his oxygen saturation rate is 100% which is great!!!

ok so i have created what is called a care page for jacobi if you are interested...what it is, is a website where you go to carepages.com then you look for a care page...jacboi's is jacobiwhyte and you have to put in your email and a password but what it does is then send you an email everytime i update his page...so if you are interested feel free, thank you ladies!!! i will try and get a slide show of pics up soon too!!!

and was 16 in long...

...i experianced an ecclamptic seizure and so they thought it was best to take him immediatly.h he swallowed alot of amniotic fluid when he was born and was born coughing and a screamin and when they had cleared his lungs initally was looking great,he was on cpap on 33% oxygen. but by the 2nd xray was showing signs of RDS. so they intubated him and gave him, his first round of surfactant. now we sit and wait. he is absolutly beautiful and i will be posting pics asap!!!

please pray for us we have a long road ahead!!!

[jan9th]****18 weeks***yay 5 months today i cannot express to anyone how excited i am...i love that in 2 weeks i will be halfway there!!! i cant believe it i feel like time has flown by!!! but at the same time i want it to slow down...since this maybe my last pregnancy i want to really enjoy it...of course i also cant waittill my docs sets my date either!!!! so exciting. i still have a little m/s and puke usually 2x a day and the lack of calories is kinda wearing on me...but still gaining weigt really good and consistantly!! about a lb a week lately!!!

[jan 12th]***18weeks 3days***sorry to all the ladies on here that i normally talk to on a daily basis and to all my BFFS but i am finally starting to feel human again and am finally getting some energy back and all day i havent puked once!!! i am so excited!!!! we are changing and organizing our house so that when baby gets here we wont have to do somuch work!!! it is starting to feel so real now...in less then 5 months i will have 3 little rugrats;. it is going to be so fantastic!!! sorry for all the positivity but i can tell i am definatly in the "honeymoon stage" atthe moment i am sure as get into my 3rd trimester the complaints will start to pour out!!! *** oh and I FELT THE "BIG KICK" TODAY HE KICKED ME ON MY LAST FLOATING RIB ON THE LEFT SIDE...IT TOOK ME SO MUCH BY SUPRISE THAT I ACTUALLY JUMPED. Oh and my uterus is 3 FREAKING INCHES ABOVE MY BELLY BUTTON!!!

[jan14th] ***18wks 5days*** well there is less 150 days left till my baby boyis due...oh and i got the results back from the afp test and everything was neg so that is great news!!!

[jan 16th]***19 wks*** I thought i lost my baby yesterday i was blow drying my hair and blood started running down my leg...I continued to bleed and lost about a 4 cup amount of bright red blood after continuosly bleeding for abut 30 min it finally started passing clots and eventually stopped i ran to the ER and was there from 11-7 yesterday...when i got there they found the fetal heartrate right away((((big sigh of relief)))) then a little later i was ordered an u/s becasue fetal heart rate was 98bpm...in the u/s i saw my perfect son with the perfect heartrate of 155bpm and no sign of where i had bleed from...so they did a pelvic....they found nothing there either except my cervix was extremely soft but luckily was closed!!!! they sent me home because i have my next appt mon...oh and daddy got to feel BOB kick...and we have decided instead of calling him furblood wewere going 2 call him BOB (Baby On Board)

TODAY WITH MY DOC...AND IT TURNS OUT MY CERVIX IS SOFT BUT ONLY HALF
IS DIALATED TO THE 1 WHILE THE TOP IS CLOSED AND HAS PARTIAL PLUG
SO THAT IS GOOD...SHE ALSO INFORMED ME FOR THIS BABY AND PREGNANCY
WITH ALL THE BLEEDING ISSUES IT IS GOING TO BE A PREGNANCY OF MILESTONES-

-1ST MILESTONE BEING 23 WEEKS...WHEN THEY TRY AND SAVE BABY
-2ND MILESTONE BEING 28 WEEKS...BABY HAS MUCH BETTER CHANCE AT SURVIVAL
-3RD MILESTONE BEING 32 WEEKS...WE ARE SHOOTING TO MAKE IT TO THIS DATE

AND SHE ALSO SAID I WOULD PROBABLY NOT GO PAST 36 WEEKS...
AND SHE SAID IF I KEEP BLEEDING LIKE I HAVE BEEN THEN STARTING
AT 23 WEEKS I WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE L&D WARD TO BE OBSERVED
FOR NO LESS THE 24 HOURS. OH I DONT WANT A PREMEE BABY BUT I DO
WANT A BABY SO LET THE MILSTONE COME...I AM NOW READY FOR THE TIME TO

[jan 21]***19wks 5dys***yay we saw little bob again...he was so cute and was moving all over the whole time!!!! she had to chase him all over just to get his pics good. I made sure to record some of his stats:

HEARTRATE- 135BPM
HE IS NOW MEASURING +4 DAYS...MY GROWING BOY...I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ALREADY AND THE SCAN WAS NOTHING BUT GOOD NEWS!!!!YAY YAY YAY.

[jan 23]***20 weeks***K I listening to my bffs and i am going to bond with this baby...i will now call him by his name because i am confident that one day i will get to say it to his beautiful face...and yes we are 95% sure this is the name!!!! so from now on BOB is JACOBI!!! also i became an aunt last night...my sis in law gave birth to her babyboy by c-section at 10:30 last night...he was 6lbs 1oz and 19in long. both mom and baby are doing great!!! and so am i. I just have such a great feelingthat baby jacobi and i are going to be just fine...and you ladies are to thank for that
i really appreciate all the prayers and thoughts!!!!

[jan 27]***20wks 4days*** ok here is my update...sorry it took so long to get up...i went to get on fri night and couldnt sign on...then i am in class all sat!!! so i am getting on here now...the appt went great actually...earlier like since i was 6wks and started passing clots i have had a blood sac full of pooling blood that is where the clots were coming from...and as my uterus got bigger the pooling blood and clots were irritating my uterus causing it to contract intensly which in turn caused it to squishout the excess pooling blood...and when i got scanned mon they could see a quarter size blood clot that i later passed wed!!! so when that happened it cause my uterus to contract and actually flattened and closed the blood sac so she is 95% sure i wont be bleeding and i should have a very boring pregnancy...man i hope that she is right!!! oh and jacobi is doing great and we got a couple of really cute pics that i will post on the bottom!!! thank you to everyone who checked on me!!!

[jan 30th]***21wks***going good jacobi is getting stronger & stronger everyday...he is moving my tummy now...i love to just sit there and watch him play in there. i am still on moderate bedrest and will be till 28 weeks!!! the day before valentines day little jacobi becomes viable!!! so if something happens that day they will try and save him...that will be a huge sigh of relief that day!!! keep on rolling little jacobi...day by day seems like such a great feeling. oh and my belly has gotten huge!!! i cant believe it.

[feb 6th]***22weeks***i cannot believe that i will be holding my little jacobi in 4 months!!! that is insane to me and i couldnt be happier!!! i love the idea of a c-section now becasue i will not excatly down to the minute when i will get to see my baby!!! i love love love the idea that i have had not bleeding for 2 whole weeks. and that in excatly 1 week if anything happens they will try and save him!!!! but i know my little tummy resident is in for the long haul like his mom!!! bring on to 39 weeks!!!

[FEB 13TH]***MILESTONE #1 REACHED TODAY**** LITTLE JACOBI IS NOW VIABLE!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! and i bled again mon=( no more boring pregnancy for jamie!!! i am so bummed out...i am going to do everything in my power to keep him in there until 39 weeks...i want a cute little rolly polly baby that i get to hold after i am all stiched up and everything!!! i had a dream (usually very accurate) that says he is coming Apr 28th but i am planning on making a liar out of my dream...jacobi and i are in it for the long haul...this is my last pregnancy so i want it to last as long as possible!!!

[feb 20th]***24 weeks*** well i had my appt on tues and it went great...i got my blood drawn to test for GD hoping for a neg...and found out next wed&thurs that jacobi will be getting his lung steriod shots and we set up my c-section date...IT IS 6/5/08 AT 7:30AM....i am bummed because i have decided to deliver at a different hospital then i had my other 2 at...because they have a Level III nicu where as the other hospital only has a Level 2.5 NICU so hopefully i wont need it but if i do then a good NICU will be waiting for me!!! i am so so happy she will be giving him the steriod shots!!! yay...what a great day...but i have gained alot that is a bummer. but another good note is that i get a sono at my next appt cant wait to see my little booger again!!! and see how much he weighs!!!

[FEB 27TH]25 WEEKS...YAY 2 WEEKS TILL 3RD TRIMESTER AND 3 WEEKS TILL 2ND MILESTONE IS REACHED!!! AND TONIGHT AT 6PM I BEGIN THE BETA METHAZONE SHOTS FOR LITTLE JACOBI'S LUNGS TO GET A JUMP START!!! YESTERDAY I HAD SOME SCARY CONTRATIONS BUT WERE EASILY STOPPED SO THAT IS GOOD...I CANT WAIT TO HOLD MY BABY BUT I WANT HIM TO STAY IN THERE AND GROW BIG AND STRONG!!!

[FEB 28TH]14 WEEKS TILL C-SECTION/JACOBI IS HERE~~~21weeks 1 day~~~ ok woke up this morning and had another huge gush of blood so since baby jacobi is viable i had to go to the hospital to be observed for 24 hours...well i got a very in detail sono that looked at everything very closly...and showed nothing of where the blood was coming from...the perinatalogist told me that him and my doc concluded it was most likely a chronic placenta abrubtion that heals itself before i ever get any one to get a pic of it...so it had healed itself today...so my baby jacobi was safe!!! and in the sono also found out baby jacobi is a big boy...he weighs 1pound 15ounces and is measuring 26weeks 6days....that is almost 2 weeks ahead she said he looks like another big kiddo for me...lol. she also measured his little feet and they are gigantic...they are measuring 2 inches i am so happy she told me this i can almost imagine what they look like...anyway i am still in the hospital..thank god for laptops...but should be going home tomorrow morning unless something goes wrong!!! i love my little jacobi so much and will post some of the new pics when i get home tomorrow!!!

[feb 29th]happy leap year...i am home..thank god. man i missed my bed!!! we are doing great and i posted his new u/s pics at the bottom...enjoy. i have decided to take down my dream countdowns off my page because being in that room all by myself was so sad and depressing and i decided it would kill me to be there with an empty belly and an empty room...so i made a deal with god, if he let me keep baby jacobi in till my c-section then i wouldnt complain (too much) about my pregnancy!!! so i am praying to make it to june 5th and prove my dream wrong...i dont care how big he gets to be i want to hold him right away for as long as i can!!! i couldnt stand not seeing him for 24hours...or longer...praying and praying for 6/5/08

[mar 5th] 3 MONTHS FROM TODAY AND I WILL BE HOLDING MY LITTLE JACOBI IN MY ARMS!!!OH I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!! not much to report here...thank god...i love when there is nothing to talk about...i am starting to get a little more and more uncomfortable but i remember that i have a long way to go!!! he is getting strong now and we can see his legs just a moving in there!!! oh i am so excited i can barely stand it!!!

[MAR 12TH]***27WEEKS***3RD TRIMESTER FINALLY...YAY GETTING TO THE HOME STRECH AND REALLY STARTING TO GET EXCITED NOW...I JUST CANT WAIT TILL THE 3D/4D SONO SO I CAN SEE HIS FACE!!! OTHER THAN THAT DOING REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! SO EXCITED!!!I HAVE MY APPT/SONO NEXT MON (MAR 17TH) SO I WILL UPDATE MORE THEN!!!

[MAR 15TH]***27wks 3days*** 3D/4D SONO IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!

[MAR 17TH]***27WKS 5DAYS*** HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!!!! 80 DAYS TILL JACOBI IS IN MY ARMS!!!! JUST BACK FROM MY SONO/APPT AND ALL IS GREAT!!! IN THE SONO JACOBI WAS MEASURING 2 POUNDS 9 OUNCES AND IS IN THE 54TH PERCENTILE...YAY!!! HE IS MEASURING +4 DAYS NOW...OH AND MY DOC AND I HAD A TALK OF A POSSIBLE VBAC(VAGINAL BIRTH AFTER CESAREAN) AND SHE SAYS IF I GO INTO SPONTANIOUS LABOR B4 MY C-SECTION DAY THAT I CAN GO AHEAD WITH THE VBAC...I CANT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME!!! YAY!!! OH BUT I AM STILL ON BEDREST =(

[MAR 19TH] ***28WEEKS*** 2ND MILESTONE WAS REACHED TO DAY...and only a couple more days till my 3d/4d sono...yay so excited!!! i cant wait to see little man in 3d!!! finally put a face with this crazy personality!!! still feeling great and almost 3 weeks with no blood yay!!!

[MAR 20TH]^^**^^my little boy Addison is 18months old today, oh where has the time gone??^^**^^ 11 weeks till jacobi's c-section!!! i guess i should expand on what was said and what i am thinking at my appt...so i said that she said that i am a good candadit for a VBAC(vaginal birth after cesarean) however i have big babies and with my daughter (vaginal birth) i struggled for 3 hours to push her out she was 8lbs 14oz at 38 weeks!! so she recommended if i was going to try for a safer VBAC then i should try right around 37 weeks(full term)...so come May 20th (full moon) i will try my self induction...i know so many women see self induction as selfish but let me stress how much it would mean to me to have him plopped on my chest to see me first instead of scary drs and nurses in masks...to hold him and listen to his first crys.....i want this more then anything...when i had my daughter vaginally i wasnt allow to hold her becasue i was on magnesium and she came out limp and grey so they wisked her away for 5 hours...then with my son he was a c-section baby and while i got to see him i wasnt the first person he got to see!!! so please understand i know the risks of uterin rupture are there but there will be no pitocin or anything else but i will do the eating of pineapple and eggplant parm, walking and tons of sex!!! wish me luck because i will be doing this 2 months from today!!!

[mar 26th]***29wks** yay...next week i will be 30 weeks and it feels crazy that i will be trying to get him out in 7wks 6days...i really really want to avoid the c-section so i feel like it is a race against the clock...grr...hopefully god will help get him here naturally and saftly...and planning on no medication...hubby isnt too thrilled about this!!! but i dont care...epidurals dont work on me...so that is pointless. hubby is really excited to have sex again and i have put up a countdown for him too!!!

[apr 2nd]***30 weeks*** it is my bday tomorrow and i will be 23!!! i cant believe i will be done having kids @ 23!!! hey 3 is enough...there was another scare of preterm later this morning!!! but all is good...it was becasue of dehydration. but with all the strong strong contractions no bleeding...which is so so awesome!!! feeling much much better and looking forward to meeting him..but not for a while!!!

[apr 8th] 6 weeks till we try and get mr. jacobi out so we can avoid that yucky c-section...

[APR 9TH]**YAY 31 WEEKS*** i am getting so excited and really anxious i just wish i knew for sure if i was going to be able to have a successful vbac...well in 5wks 6days we will try and avoid it!!! next week i will have reached my 3rd milestone...when she first set me up with them i would have never thought that we would make it this far..but here we are and i have been blood free since Feb 28th...it is just awesome...jacobi is getting big in there and really starting to fill out his space...i love him so much...more and more everyday!!!

[APR 14TH]***31WKS 5DAYS***hello again ladies...back from my selfgiven strict bedrest...and it looks like it did the trick...i lost my mucous plug again and the was dried blood mixed in with mucousy stuff...yum yum =( but no blood yay!!! well red blood anyway...still having the spotting but she is going to check it out at my appt tomorrow!!! let you all know how it goes...thanks for checking on me if you did...and hope all of you are doing well...
