Jacobi James is here!!!!

Jacobi arrived via c-section

on 4/14/08 at 4:29PM

he weighed 4lbs 6oz

and was 16 in long...

...i experianced an ecclamptic seizure and so they thought it was best to take him immediatly.h he swallowed alot of amniotic fluid when he was born and was born coughing and a screamin and when they had cleared his lungs initally was looking great,he was on cpap on 33% oxygen. but by the 2nd xray was showing signs of RDS. so they intubated him and gave him, his first round of surfactant. now we sit and wait. he is absolutly beautiful and i will be posting pics asap!!!

please pray for us we have a long road ahead!!!

My baby Ella is 6 months and 7 days old today! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is smiling, laughing, cooing, pulling and pushing on things,starting to crawl, sitting up by herself for short periods of time, doing something new and adorable every single day...I love her so much! =)

yay for the puppy outfits! My mom bought it at Walmart in premie, and when he grew out of it, I bought it again in newborn size. Michael is growing out of all his newborns that have feet because they squish his toes. He will drown in 0-3 right now though!

I'm so happy to hear that you are back home with your baby boy!!! That is awesome! I'm sorry to hear about your scare. I used to read your updates on the carepage all the time. He's so adorable!!

I know!! I will be 20 weeks saturday!! So crazy!! I am still feeling good, still havent gained a pound and the baby looks great!

Thanks for the message Momma, just read your update.....and WOW...you are an awesome, coolheaded Momma! What a scare Jacobi gave you, and you kept your cool, that is great. I have this underlying fear of things like that happening to my kids, and then I panic. How long does he have to be on the monitor, and why didn't it work? What is gripe water? Glad he is such a fighter! Well, the boys are getting bigger, and so am I. I am nearing the end, and glad to be, I am sooooo tired. Finally figured out their names, Cameron James and Cayden Gregory. got the nursery done, and still have a few last minute things to do, but it will all come about. Anyhow, sending sweet thoughts your way. XOXOXOXOO ALLY

My little guy is still in newborn clothes and is 8 weeks. He is still in newborn diapers too. I think he is getting close to 8 lbs, he was 7# last wt check on the 28th of May but seems to have packed on the ounces (hee hee) the past week. Hope your little guy is doing well...are you getting sick of all the comments "He is so small" I don't know why it bothers me, I think he is just perfect!

Holy crap! I just read about your gallbladder. I am so sorry! I hope you are feeling better now. You have been through so much, you do not need anything else. I will keep you in my prayers. I am going to have surgery July 16th to remove my fibroids so I can heal up and hopefully ny future good luck!!!

I just posted this over in 0 months: Went to the doctor today, and my little preemie is up to 8 pounds! That is more than double his birth weight. He also has grown over 3 inches. He is *almost* on the percentile charts for height and weight! The nurse thinks he will be plotted on the curve by his 4 month appt. Doctor is switching him from Zantac to Prevacid for his reflux, and we are switching from preemie formula to Enfamil AR. But, we have to mix it with slightly less water so it still has more calories to meet preemie needs. Tell me about Jacobi next week! Hope you are still doing well! I don't know how you do it with 3 kids. I am sure I will get there, as I want to have 3 as well. But wow, they are a lot of work at this stage!
