Jacobi James is here!!!!

Jacobi arrived via c-section

on 4/14/08 at 4:29PM

he weighed 4lbs 6oz

and was 16 in long...

...i experianced an ecclamptic seizure and so they thought it was best to take him immediatly.h he swallowed alot of amniotic fluid when he was born and was born coughing and a screamin and when they had cleared his lungs initally was looking great,he was on cpap on 33% oxygen. but by the 2nd xray was showing signs of RDS. so they intubated him and gave him, his first round of surfactant. now we sit and wait. he is absolutly beautiful and i will be posting pics asap!!!

please pray for us we have a long road ahead!!!

yeah, the hormones. i look at her and cry. shes so beautiful its insane. its soooo overwhelming. my night went realllllly well. she doesnt cry much. only when shes hungry. shes been insanely gassy though :[ but she just whines a bit from that. and has nasty smelly farts lol. she slept 4 hrs straight. it was great!!!!! i had to supplement with formula because she was sooo hungry and she wasnt getting much from me.

Hey lady, I am so excited I am finally dialating!!! 2-3 cm dialated and 50% effaced (thinned out)! Baby Justin should come any time now! Baby Jacobi is too cute. That was a crazy scare you had but you handled it great. I think I would have paniced...way to go!

Hey girl! I've been so busy since Kason was born and haven't had time to write to see how you are doing. We've gone through alot haven't we?! Amazing little men we have though. They've been through alot and so have we. I find myself missing all the nurses and help in the NICU unit, don't you?? I have called a couple of times to ask them questions since we've been home. They are so sweet. Jacobi looks GREAT! I just love their precious faces and smiles! They truly are miracles that God has given us the pleasure of raising and caring for!! I love my Kason so much.. Check out my page and see what he looks like! I am pretty proud of him! I've been keeping up wiht your son on his care page that you set up! I'm so glad to know that he's doing so great!! Write me and let me know how things are for you.. I'm going to miss this site!!!!!!!

i know! im stoked! even better news is that i get to have my c section on friday cause shes still breech. im beyond excited and beyond ready to have her already. i use to be paranoid of c sections but the more i hear about them being not so bad makes me feel at peace. any tips to give me before i go in?? hows the little guy doin?!

I read your message and it is very inspirational!! It almost sounds like a poem!! You should write him a poem if you haven't already!! I noticed a month and a half ago that you had little Jacobi and have been reading all of your updates since he was born. I am so glad that he is doing so good.
That must have been scary with your recent episode with the gripe water. He is beautiful!!!

Congratulations! My son was born at 30 weeks 10 years ago and spent 120 days getting poked and prodded every 4 hours!! He has the best disposition and temperment ever, not cranky, not mean or moody he was such a good baby that when I had my daughter at 40 weeks I was thrown off and didn't know what to do!... Glad that all is working out positively for you. Smiling babies and kiddies are the best

Hi... I just saw your post on the 1 month page and related to you. My son was born on 4/17 and his due date was 5/27. He is a preemie but still has smiled and seems to be doing fine. He weighed 7#1oz and now weighs 10#4oz. I hope to keep in tough with you.

I am so happy to hear how well Jacobi is doing! I also had to move Michael's straps to the middle slot on his carseat. Can't wait to see what he weighs next week. He is probablyt comparable with Jacobi. Michael is easy going, unless he has problems with reflux. We have beginning smiles. Can't wait til I see giggles like you!
