Hi All, i am 23 years old and i live in the UK. Me and my partner Karl have been trying for a baby for over a year and now it has finally happened! we are pregnant! me and my partner are so excited and shocked as it was still a suprise to us even tho we had been trying. My EDD is january 20th 2008 by LMP. We are just waiting for our first scan so we can get to see r little baby on the screen and know that all is well.

June 4th 2007

We had our first scan today! im only 7wks so couldnt see much really just a little blob and tiny heartbeat it was great to see all is well so far and they have changed my EDD to January 17th so im 3 days further than thought.

I started my jury service today it was rather boring just sat in a room all day but i got a nice suprise whilst sitting there i felt my baby kick for the first time! i had to stop myself shouting out in excitement i only wish i was around people i knew when it happened as there was no one for me to tell ha.

Were having a little Girl! we had r 20wk scan today it was amazing as we could actually see everything unlike the first scan and r little girl looks perfect quite happy in mummys belly kicking away. I was convinced i was having a boy so we didnt have a name planned for a girl! oh well back to the baby name books!

December 20th 2007

im 36wks and my little girl is breech! she must be trying to get comfy cos she was head down at 32wks i have to go to hospital to have a presentation scan to see if they can turn her around if not i have to have a c-section which i really do not want! Her daddy has been telling her to turn around all nite lol.

Went for presentation scan today to see if they can turn baby around, but i guess she must have listened to her daddy cos she had already turned herself back around so she is head down but still not engaged. I cant wait to have her here my body is so sore im fed up now! only 3 more weeks to go hopefully if she arrives on time, i have a feeling she may come early.

3 days to go! im getting so excited now, im ready for this to be over i can barely walk my back hurts and my belly is huge! not to mention all the strechmarks that have suddenly appeared out of no where. i havnt had any signs at all no BH no show no nothing i hope i dont go over!

Im still here 1 wk overdue! saw midwife today they wont induce me until next wed! ill be 41wks and 6days by then its so unfair. i cant see baby coming by herself! oh we still dont have a name either me and my partner cant agree on one.

BIRTH STORY

On sunday nite i was having contractions throughout the night they wernt too painful but had no pattern to them they were all over the place. Woke up monday morning still the same but they then stopped in the evening. Tuesday i was busy getting everything ready and checking i had everything i needed just incase i did make it to be induced wednesday morning! We then went to bed early as we had to be at hospital for 8.30am the following morning so i needed all the sleep i could get! next day we got to hospital and the mw's explained that they would monitor me for 30mins before deciding what method to use to induce me. After the 30 mins had passed mw came and checked monitor and i told her id had a few contractions when she looked at the monitor i had actualy had 10 in 30 mins so that was it from 8.30am i had contractions 2-3 mins appart and were quickly getting stronger. mw said this could be a quick labour which as you can imagine made me happy. 12hrs later with contractions still 2-3mins appart and very painful i was only 5-6cm dilated so i asked for gas and air which made me sick! i finally went down to the delivery suite at 10pm but was still only 6cm dilated so i got on the birthing ball for a few hours then i felt my waters break so they checked me but my front waters were still intact so they broke them then put me on the drip cos i had been 9cm for a few hours and i really wanted to push. the drip made the contractions twice as bad but finally i was able to start pushing. shortly after i started to push the babys heartrate dropped so i was told i had to have this baby now which gave me the determination i needed! after 20 mins of pushing and an episiotomy and 23hrs labour my little girl Ella-Louise was born and placed on my belly. she weighed 8lb 3oz and was born at 6.45am. The experience was amazing finally holding my little girl and ill never forget the happiness that she bought to me and her daddy that day
