Here is my story.... my name is laura, i live in wales with my boyfriend of 3 yrz with our puppy bella in our beautiful home in a little village called cardigan. i am a hairdresser, also a qualified beauty therapist, and i have a degree in occupational therapy. ive been on this site since i ws 19 weeks preggo... and i am now 40 +3 weeks preggo! our little baby wasnt planned, but by no means a mistake... a gift sent from above 4 us 2 care 4 and love.

We found out at our 20week scan... and couldnt have been happier! i have had a brilliant pregnancy, no sickness, only heartburn, and i managed 2 stay in work untill only a week ago. i thought i would have my little man in my arms by now but he is obviously nice and snug in his mummies tum! i have been booked in 2b induced next thurz and i CANT WAIT!!! i have loved every moment of this pregnancy, it has brought wayne and me so close, we cant wait 2 start a family 2gether and spend the rest of r lives 2gether... decided 2 change my page coz i thought it was getting a little long and i got fed up of seeing the same thing everytime i came on here!! also now ive got room 4 pics and my birth story 4 when my prince arrives, we have decided 2 call him Kyran! and he will have the same middle name as his daddy - Nicholas.

This website has been fab ive loved coming on here chatting 2 all of u, ive met some lovely people and enjoyed comparing notes! its been lovely going through this amazing experience with you all and 2 all the girls who have had their beautiful babies lately congratulations and i cant wait 2 join u!

well now that ive got 5 mins 2 myself ill fill u all in with my birth story...

i went in 2 labour thurz morning, well id been having irregular but strong contractions all wed night and when i woke up thurz morning i felt sick and shaky so we phoned up the hospitle and they said 2 come in, just 2b on the safe side. so off we went, nervous and exited, got in2 hospitle, they examined me, i was 2cm dilated and the contractions were 5mins appart, lasting about 30 secs, after about an hour of being monitored i was taken through to the labour ward, had drips put in my hand, just incase, and i started on the gas and air! wow! that stuff should be available for home use! wayen and me giggled our way thru the first part of my labour! about 1 o clock they examined me again and i was 4cm, officially 'in labour' so i was given an epidural as my contractions were in my back and getting quite painful, and as it was quite a slow labour they decided 2 give me cyntocinol 2 bring the contractions on stronger, bad move... baby and mummy had a bad reaction, babys heart beat plummeted and i blacked out, i cant really remember any of it, bar oppening my eyes and being on the opperating theatre with about 15 doctors and nurses surrounding me! ky's hearbeat picked up tho and i came arround after they gave me a reversal or something and i was taken back in2 labour and delivery! greated by wayne in tears and my whole family!! apparently he had been told 2 ring any close family that he wanted with him coz they werent sure which way it was going 2 go!

so i was back puffing on the gas and air bcoz the epidural didnt work, contractions getting stronger and almost ontop of eachother, come 8 at night the midwife examined me and i was a 10 and ready 2 push! i didnt have any urge 2 push so she told me 2 bear down and push from my bum... my beautiful baby boy was born in one push! i pushed with all my might, screamed my head off, and out he came, he landed on her lap and i ended up with 2nd degree tears coz he came out a bit quick! and..... ive got a stitch rite by my pee hole!!!! owch! haha, i dont know if anyone else will agree with me but the stitches are worse that the labour! i sucked on the gas and air like my life depended on it!

so my baby is here! 1st few nights were hard but its getting easyer every day, wayne is already better than i could ever of dreamed of, im yet 2 change a nappy! i doubt that will last long! i absolutely love being a mother, it is the most amazing, emotional beautiful thing in the world, daddy and i cant help but shed a tear when we look at him, just cant believe we made something so beautiful. breast feeding is quite hard, but once u get past the sore nipples its really enjoyable, i hope i can keep it up bcoz its a really special feeling!

well i hope i havent bored u all! im not on here much at the mo but will undoutably be once things settle down, congrats 2 all the new mummies, ill try and get some better picks up soon, love 2 everyone xxx
