Hello...

My name's Charlotte, im 24 and pregnant with my first baby :-) I am due on 19th January - exactly 1 week before my own birthday!! Am feeling very sick still but im hoping this will pass very soon as its so tiring! I had a scan at 7 weeks as i thought i was miscarrying - was a very scary time, BUT it was amazing to see my tiny little baby with its heart beating all perfectly! Have got my next scan (12 week scan) on 10th July! Cant wait! xxx

24th July...

Hello all, thought i would add some more writing to my page! I had my first scan on 10th July which was amazing! i thought i was due on 19th Jan but its 17th which is even better as it hopefully means i will get to meet my baby sooner! I am 14 and 5 today and am feeling sooo tired! sickness is still here :( i was put on anti sickness tablets last week but they have done nothing for me apart from make me feel drunk and fuzzy headed, so i decided it was best not to take them! i have a check up at the hosptial today so hopefully everything will be ok! xxx

20th August - 18 weeks 2 days.

Hi everyone! i am SO tired today!!!!!!!! i have had about 3 hours sleep! went to V festival in Chelmsford yesterday, didnt get home til about 2 and got up for work at 5.30! i think my festival days are over! well at least for now anyway! i was as knackered as i would expect to be had i been there and been 8 months!! my back, legs, bum, feet, EVERYTHING all hurt so much!! and i have my friends birthday to go to tonight! oh how i wish i could just go back to bed and sleep all day :*( ........ xxx

Ok, here goes! On the saturday before she was born i started getting small contractions throughout the day, but they werent regular and nothing came of them! so then the following tuesday they started again, i was getting pains all day but again, nothing regular! so i just thought it was a false alarm again! then at about 3am i woke up and my waters went (EVERYWHERE!!) Wayne, my husband, jumped up out of the bed but didnt manage to miss them haha, he got his arm covered (much to his disgust!) so we got up and tried to clean up, but it really wasnt worth it seeing as they just kept coming and coming! i didnt imagine for one minute they would be anything like they were! i couldnt stop laughing as they just kept coming out! so we called the hospital and they said that i had to go in to be checked over! we got there at 5 and went straight into a room to be checked over! they said they i should hopefully go into natural labour seeing as the waters had gone, and i could go home and wait if i wanted to, which i did! so all day long i was getting pains but again, they were the same as before! so we waited and waited, and nothing! so the next day we had to go to the hospital for 9 because they said if i didnt go into natural labour i would then have to be induced. So we got there and no one came to even see us for 2 hours! i was getting worried by this point seeing as they hadnt even monitored the baby to see if she was ok! so at 11.30 they gave me the tablet which is supposed to induce you, but obviously it doesnt work on everyone! i could have had 2 goes at this! they were then meant to check me over 6 hours after the tablet to see if i was dilated or it had worked at all! all day i was getting contractions again and i thought it was working as they were getting longer and more painful! the hospital didnt then check me until just before 9!!! they left me such a long time, by this point i was getting really upset! then they told me i was only 1 cm dilated which was heartbreaking as i was still no where near having the baby!! They then decided that i wouldnt be allowed a second go at the tablet seeing as my waters had already been gone a long time by now! by this point they should have moved me onto the labour ward to put me on the drip to induce me but they said there was no room and they were going to leave me until the morning! so they sent Wayne home (which didnt go down to well with me at all, i got in such a state over it!!) and then i was having pains all night long! i was really uncomfortable! so wayne came back at 10 the next morning and there was still no room on the labour ward! finally at about 12 they moved us through and by 1 i was on the drip! from then the contractions came on really quickly and were very painful! i called my mum as she was my 2nd birthing partner and she came up! but again, with this indcution there is no guarentee that it would work! so we just had to sit it out and hope! i only wanted gas and air as pain relief and i was hopingfor the birthing pool, but because i was induced by drip you cant go in the pool! by 2 o clock my contractions were every minute and the pain was unbearable! our midwife was brilliant and she made me feel much better about going for the epidural! in the end i thought there is no way i can stand these contractions for another 4 hours until they did my next internal so i decided to have it! it was the best descison ever!!! it took the pain away after about 10/15 mins!!! i could still feel the contractions but i wasnt in any pain! we managed to sit there and watch tv, have a cup of tea and chat all afternoon! wasnt like i was in labour at all! everytime i started to feel the pain the midwife just topped me up which was nice! i got the really bad shakes though and couldnt stop shaking which was horrible, and i seemed to drift in and out of sleep but kept waking up by laughing (which was highly amusing to my mum and Wayne! it was like i was drunk!) so the time came for my internal! and i was sooo worried it hadnt worked seeing as it had been such a long time already! well, my midwife looked at us and said hmmmm and i thought oh no, it hasnt worked! and she said YOU ARE 9CM!! i was so so happy! i cried, i was so excited i was so nearly there! i told my mum to pass my make up bag and i sat there and did all my make up haha! i wanted to look ok for the photos after! and then my mum did my hair and i felt much better! we waited for an hour before she had another look and she said whenever i was ready i could push! so i was waiting for the contractions, but because i couldnt feel them it made it quite difficult! but i just pushed anyway! i was only pushing for 11 minutes and then she was out! the midwife called for back up but it was too late, there was no stopping me haha! and that was it! Annabelle Rose was born on the 18th January at 8.16pm weighing 7lb 2.5oz! and it was the most amazing experience ever!!!
