My Milestones

Monday September 3rd 2007

My hubby decided to have tantrum last night, he has not been well and work has been a task for him lately, nothing is running smoothly, but I am that exhausted I did not let it get to me at all, I actually thought how selfish, I am having Braxton Hix contractions, still working 40hour weeks, the joys of end of pregnancy girly things hapening downstairs, sore legs, swollen feet, cramps, have to come home and cook dinner, so right now, I'm sorry but I just don't care if he can't look after himself, don't get me wrong I love him to death and I do care but just right now I don't have the energy to give.

Monday August 27th 2007

I had my ultrasound today to see if my baby has turned and that my placenta is up, & YES it is excelent it looks like a normal birth for me, bub weighs 2.6kgs at the moment.

Thursday August 23rd 2007

We have finally found someone to take over my job, Yehhhhh!

If all goes good I should be able to finish up by the 21st September 2007.

I will have 2 weeks up my sleave than to complain and have a chat for as long as I like on the net with all the other pregnant mummy's.

Wednesday August 22nd 2007

Still trying to find someone to fill in at work but still no luck, hopefully if everybody can agree we will hire a lady that we will put throught a MYOB course, hopefully soon as I am starting to get Braxton Hix contractions and feel that I am getting them alot earler than with my 1st daughter - Evelyn.

My boss promises tho that when I am ready to go and I am almost ready to go that I can walk out hassle free, I don't think anyone is going to be given much option if my water breaks. I think my little girl is glad bubs is due on the school holidays so she can play mummy's before the have to go back from break.

Third Trimester - Monday, July 09, 2007

I have been so busy lately with work and baby buying that I have not added much to my milestones, slack huh! But I am now 27 weeks and 3 days pregnant and bubs is doing good, plenty of movement daddy is getting to feel it now and sometimes when I cuddle Gav from behind Bub's likes to kick him in the back but dad sleeps very soundly and it never seems to to disturb him. Can't wait just a few more weeks at work thank goodness as my exhaustion level is starting to feel exhausted. Advertise next week and plenty of people will be getting interviewed before the training begins. I am feeling bubbies heart beat often lately, very strong and can't wait to feel some hiccups.

23 weeks and 4 days - Tuesday, June 12, 2007

My Bub gets very active at times now and is getting more exciting, my partner (Daddy) has felt it once as well as our daughter Evelyn, she is ten so it is a bit more real for her than a younger sibling. I feel huge at the moment and definately stretched, I can't beleive I still have just under 17 weeks to go, We like Jesse for a boy and Bonnie for a girl so far, names are a lot harder than expected, I feel like calling it Miracle baby since it took so long to get pregnant (2 1/2 years) and my clock was starting to tick as I am 30 years old this year.

Ultrasound - Monday, May 21, 2007

20 weeks & 3 days pregnant! I had an ultrasound today and I contained myself I did not find out what it is, I think Gav may have been curious but kept it quiet. Bub's has a good heart beat is 31cm long and has a chubby tummy (cute), the only thing they are worried about is Bub's likes to lie sidewise and my placenta is 2cm away from my cervix, so I have to go back in 10 weeks for another ultra sound to check on baby and placenta position. Big sister got to have a look and Evy is so adorable (10 years old)how curious she is about our new baby.

BABY HEARTBEAT - Tuesday, April 24, 2007

I am 16 weeks and 4 days today and had my 2nd prenatal appointment, the midwife Dean checked the heart beat and we got a strong one a good heart beat rate, how exciting I was so glad to hear it finally, ultrasound in about 2 1/2 weeks and drum roll...................I am a low risk pregnancy Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

My First Flutters & 15 weeks 5 days pregnant - Wednesday, April 18, 2007

Last night sitting at home the boys were playing the playstation (Hubby & Friend) and I felt a full on repetitive movement in my belly, it was a nice feeling as I have been really worried about miscarriages since my partner and I have had one, now I am just sitting around waiting for my next movement. Work is getting harder as clothes are short (getting too tight) and to find clothes that I like is a task on its own.

13 WEEKS & 3 DAYS - Tuesday, April 03, 2007

I am so excited as I have got throught the 12 weeks plus 1 week and 3 days more, I still feel anxious, I think once I have got past the time I lost the previous one,I will be fine so at least the 14th or 15th week I will probably start to calm down a bit. Next prenatal appointment is the 24th April and hopefully an Ultrasound the following week. Next appointment I should be able to hear the heart beat this time. The Saturday after my 2nd prenatal appointment is my first baby girls 10th Birthday, I should enjoy it knowing both my children are healthy.

First Doctors Appointment - Tuesday, March 27, 2007

It was my first doctors appointment today, they took three biles of blood and a urine sample, we checked for the heartbeat but think it is too early at this point, we did hear the placenta swishing and my heartbeat, but so far so good, I will jut keep praying until the next appointment dated the 24th April, should be able to hear the heartbeat this time.

12 WEEKS TODAY YEH! - Friday, March 23, 2007

The day we have all been waiting for the 12th week mark, yeh, let's pray there is smooth sailing from here.

Countdown to 12 weeks! - Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Today I am 11 weeks and 5 days only two more days to go to reach 12 weeks. Yahoo!

1 WEEK BEFORE MY DOCTORS APPOINTMENT - Tuesday, March 20, 2007

Yesterday, Monday 19.03.2007 I am convinced I felt a couple of quickenings it just seemed too obvious and 1 week from today, Tuesday 20.03.2007 is my first doctor's appointment, I can't wait, I'll be even more excited if I hear that heart beat, over 12 weeks and a heartbeat, if I get that there will be nothing that could ruin my day, anyhow prayers till next Tuesday.

11 WEEKS TODAY, YEH!!!!!! - Friday, March 16, 2007

One more week I am over the worst and I get to go to my first doctors appointment, Yeh! I can't wait just one more week, just one more week, I so hope we can hear the heart beat.

10 Weeks 4 days Pregnant! - Tuesday, March 13, 2007

Morning sickness has subsided a lot was getting worried because it has stopped a lot, then today I had a bit of morning sickness, Yeh! countdown is driving me nuts I will be glad when I hear a strong heartbeat at my first doctors appointment.

10 WEEKS PREGNANT TODAY - Friday, March 09, 2007

I have made it to 10 weeks and will be glad when I get through week 11 and week 12, tummy is still expanding and I get slight little aching feelings in my abdomen which I put down to growing pains, still saying a little prayer for our unborn bub and Evelyn, bub's big sister kisses and cuddles my tummy every night before bed and says goodnight to Shimey.

Ultrasound - Friday, February 09, 2007

Baby seemed healthy although not much can be seen it is only six weeks, saw very quickly a tiny little heartbeat.

Gav & I have been trying for 2 1/2 years after losing a bub about 4 years ago. Now I have finally fallen pregnant again, we are hoping and praying we get through this with a healthy Bub at the end. Obviously Hubby would love a little boy but does not really care as long as we get a little bundle at the end.

After trying for so long I rang my partners mobile straight away and told him, we did it, "I'm pregnant", you could hear the excitement in his voice, I told home he could tell his mate he was with but to try and keep a secret for a while, He Yahoo'd and told his mate he finally did it, But he still worries about everything being alright.

7th March 2007

I am 9 weeks 5 days, morning sickness has been pretty quick in the morning not suffering too much, my belly is starting to poke out a bit, clothes are getting tighter.

Feeling anxious about waiting till the 12th week and also waiting for my first doctors appointment due to losing a bub previously
feeling very unsure and scared at this point, I have even resorted to saying a little pray at night.

Took my first milestone photo of my tummy yesterday, my daughter took it, makes her feel a part of it and Dad measured my belly against the Wall, so far things are great every symptom is worth it just knowing it means there is a bub still growing healthy in there.

13th March 2007

Counting down to the big number 11 and then the one I have been waiting for 12 weeks, I'm sure I can feel some sort of movement this afternoon as my tummy felt tighter in a particular spot, bit of morning sickness this morning which gave me a bit of releif. I know all this should be subsiding now but I know things seem normal when I'm sick, if I don't feel anthing I grow anxious, anyway only 2 weeks left for my first antenatal appointment, hopefully we will hear the heartbeat, I will definately be asking about it.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hey Lou, hows all going has been ages since i sent you a mge. Hows everything going??

taren - Monday, 24 Sep
Hey thanks. Girl this has been so complicated. I am glad i am this far my doc measured me at 39weeks last wednesday, i go thursday to get an u/s to see how much this liitle guy weighs. My hands are swollen i can not wear my wedding rings. My feet are huge i have demples where my ankles should be! Yes they still itch and the rash is still there, but everyone says it is from the swelling. i am using calagel(itch cream) I just keep saying i am almost done! =) How are you feeling?

fergie - Monday, 24 Sep
Is it me or does it seem to get a little bit more uncomfortable everyday. I had mild heartburn all day the past couple of day. I woke up this morning and 3 of my fingers were locked. (that started happening when my fingers started swelling) It's a little bit harder to get up. Aren't we at the point were they stop growing? I don't feel like she's stopped yet. How are you feeling? Have you noticed any changes? Anything that lets you know your close? I haven't. I don't think I've dropped And I htink I get maybe one contraction a day. It's really just tightening of my uterus.

fergie - Sunday, 23 Sep
Yeah my swelling isn't that bad either. My sister-in-law had a baby sept 3rd (the first grandchild, and mine will be 5 weeks younger) and she was swollen the last 2 months. She was down to only one pair of shoes that fit. My friend stopped by yesterday and told me she could see my face has started to swell a lottle to. GREAT!! Thank god theres only 2 weeks left. I haven't had internet for a couple of day and I wanted to tell yo something. My friend that I was telling you about that had a baby with that jack ass. The day after I was telling you about that she got a child support check in the mail. how funny is that. For $235. Now the case manager is gonna call the employer and find out his address and arrest him. They are getting really strict on dead beat dads here in the US

fergie - Friday, 21 Sep
I had my dr appt today. No checking for dialation. I gained 4 pounds in a week. I think it's mostly water though. my feet are perminetly swollen now and my hands are swollen. My knuckles are really stiff and they lock when I wake up in the morning. weird huh?

taren - Friday, 21 Sep
Maybe it is the swelling i have no idea! I was awake at 2:15 this morning scratching it! Hopefully it will not last long. Besides the rash how are you.

fergie - Thursday, 20 Sep
Is your dr checking to see if your dialated? Mine's not gonna check for another week or 2. I don't think I want to know though. I think there won't be any change and I don't want to be bumbed about it.

JH - Thursday, 20 Sep
okay, thanks for your advice. i won't get a coke. stick to my water.

carla81 - Thursday, 20 Sep
Hi! Just wanted to say hi and good luck for the last couple weeks of your pregnancy. I'm 36 wks and also from QLD. Live in Brizzy, so glad winters over and summer is also here. I feel sorry for those who will be heavily pregnant during summer. Hope you're feeling well : )

JH - Thursday, 20 Sep
okay another question: girl at work (preggers), her doctor gave her a diuretic pill to help reduce the swelling. So what about drinking a coke (isn't caffeine a diuretic?)...would that help take the water out? is this a stupid idea or what?

JH - Thursday, 20 Sep
not in the face. and i have told my doctor about the swelling. in fact even called her one day to tell her about how bad it was. she just thought it was normal.

angelbaby - Thursday, 20 Sep
Thank you for the input! My doctor said I will get antibiotics through my i.v but im still unsure just cause all the articles I have read said the baby can still get it! So scary! Im being induced on the 1st so only 10 more days to go!

babyroo - Thursday, 20 Sep
lol thanks again...i love him so much...with the epidural, i did feel the urge to push, but getting up when they told me it was alright to was an experience lol...and the catheder is NOT fun, that was the part that hurt the worst, or at least the part i screamed the loudest lol. Tyler is a great sleeper but he wakes up every two hrs to feed and be changed, but then hes right back to bed. im glad ur pregnancy is going well...best of luck

fergie - Thursday, 20 Sep
I signed up for the classes like 4 months ago. I guess they put you in classes about this close to your due date. There was one girl that wsa do before the classes were over. She didn't go to the last class because she was getting induced today. She wanted one last night out for dinner with her husband. There was another girl that was actually due today. One of the girls in my class went 3 weeks early. She was having contractions during class 2 weeks ago and had the baby at 4:30am wed morning. My friend husband adopted her daughter only 2 years ago. She's 11 now. In Mass. all the mother has to do is file for the loss of parental right. The father has 30 days to contest it if he doesn't then he loses. A week before the 30 days was up he called her and said 'I'll give up the rights if you drop how much I owe in child support.' she's like 'I'll see what I can do.' she didn't mean it but that week past and he lost his rights. He doesn't owe child support from that day on but he still does up to that point. I doubt she'll ever see it though. He never works a real job and has been in and out of rehab. But everyonce in a while she'll get a check for something and then never again. So that shows he doesn't hold a job. As long as your daughter knows what's safe then it shouldn't matter. It's funny that he's still so concerned with what you do and not his own daughter and it's been like 12 years. Men and their priorities huh? I've had a couple of bad relationships in my life and doesn't it feel so good to be in a stable relationship? You know I never really wanted any kids before but I think now thats because I never found the right person. I am so proud of the man I have and I can't wait to have his baby.

JenniNZ - Thursday, 20 Sep
hi you, yeah all good here. I agree they seem so intrusive over there! I guess being scared of being sued does that in part? I love the fact my m/w doesnt weigh me, and is so relaxed! I dont have any real symptoms of impending motherhood, she's 2 engaged and if I'm having BH they're not painful! Funny about the hip socket thing eh? Good to know we're not alone! x

babyroo - Thursday, 20 Sep
thank you so much...and you are getting close girl...good luck with everything! had an easy pregnancy?

fergie - Thursday, 20 Sep
My dr wrote the note like I was being put on bedrest so I could still get paid. I have back problems, had surgery when I was 21 so she was actually impressed that I stayed at work as long as I did. But, I'm not actually on bedrest. I am relaxing and taking it easy. But if I have something to do I'll do it. The birthing classes were pretty informational for me. Since this is my first I am completely clueless to things. And even talking to other mothers there still are things that get left out. Or they didn't experience it. I just wanted to know everything so that if it happened I wouldn't be surprised. Yesterday was our last class. They talked about what it might be like in the first days of taking the baby home. They also showed us how the swaddle the baby (which I didn't know how too) and how to change a diaper. (which my fiance had never done before.) They did show us a woman giving birth and I had to look away. I don't want to see it happening with me why would I want to see it happening with someone else. One more thing, it says a lot about your character to get out a bad realtionship at 19 and 7 months preggo. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! BTW, does the father have anything to do with the baby? One of my best friends had a baby with an abusive guy when she was 19. She eventually got away from him but he has nothing to do with the child. He actually has no parental rights and her new husband adopted her.

fergie - Wednesday, 19 Sep
I keep thinking the same thing. DOn't come today..I got stuff to do. Today I'm really tired so I don't think I could push. I think if they told me they would induce me tomorrow I'd say no. 1 more week so I could really get things done. My feet are only swollen a little bit. I can't see my ankle bone anymore but they are not that bad. You really need to relax and keep your feet up. Did you just stop working or were you put on bedrest?

nearly 30 - Wednesday, 19 Sep
Definately gave me goose bumps but made me feel pretty good to. She always knows how to cheer me up. I am off to do some reading with my kids before bed now but will probably be back on later so might catch up then. Take care and keep in touch. xxx

nearly 30 - Wednesday, 19 Sep
I have a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son and my son especially is very excited. Hes going to be a big brother and cant wait. He has even predicted that we were having a girl and was very happy when the docs confirmed his guess. Im so sorry about you losing your family so young at least you have a beautiful family of your own now. I do miss my mum a lot more at the moment but my daughter tells me that she spoke to nannie and she is very excited about the new baby so I guess shes still looking out for us.

nearly 30 - Wednesday, 19 Sep
My hubby missed our sons birth as he was in NZ but it was ok as I had my mum and sister with me. My mum died 2 and a half years ago and my sister lives in OZ now so if hes not here I will have no choice but to go it alone. My friend has said she will come in as an emergency back up but I think shes praying that it doesnt come to that. ha ha. Im keeping my fingers crossed that all goes to plan and she arrives just after her due date as he arrives home on the evening of the 5th anyway. Is your daughter getting fed up of waiting for the baby now. My kids are pestering me like mad to hurry up and have her.

nearly 30 - Wednesday, 19 Sep
Hi thanks for the comment on my page. My hubby will be about an hour and a half away from home so hopefully he will make it back in time. I have a number to call then his OC will decide whether they will let him home or not. How great is that? Army life sucks sometimes. At least hes in the country this time, he spent 5 months of the pregnancy overseas! Im sure they will let him back as we have the other kids that will need taking care of aswell. I cant wait to have this baby now Im so excited. Im sure you are feeling the same. Where abouts in QLD are you? My sister lives just outside brisbane. take care and good luck xxx

fergie - Wednesday, 19 Sep
I could only pray that being sick is a sign. But I haven't actually gotten sick since sat. Just feeling crappy now. And I haven't noticed anything else going on. I'd love it if you were right. So I see that you stopped working on friday. I did to. DOesn'tit feel so good to not have to go in? It was starting to get really hard for me to just sit there at a desk all day. And tiring.
