Grace and Nicholas June 2008
Our new baby Grace has arrived, six days over due on the
6th October 2007 - weight 7.1.
The birth happened real quickly, my waters broke on Friday afternoon while out for a walk! Called the hospital and was told to go in. Felt cramps and pains along the journey. Later the pains stopped and they were giving me 18 hours to go into labour myself if not then i had to get antibiotics to save danger to the baby. After a long night, without sleep and worrying and pains gone.. they gave me antibiotics around 9 the following morning. Later they did a tracing of the babys heartbeat and found that it was decreasing. So they brought me to the labour ward at 11ish which i was dreading they started me on the drip to induce labour as i was only 2-3 cms they kept increasing the dose and pains were getting real bad. I used the gas, had my mind put of pethidine as i used it before and found it useless, and they asked for the epidural but it was too late...! Grace was born at 1.51 p.m. It was so so fantastic.. I couldnt believe it. It was a real short labour but that was due to the drip to speed up contractions. I came home the following day and couldn't have wished for everything to have gone better.
So glad i found this website for the pregnancy feel i have met so many people that will remain friends with. I wish everyone else all the very best with their new babies please God x x x
Hi Just had to start my page again... everything seems to have gone off it!! Well basically im 40 weeks and 3 days over so at this stage really looking forward to having the baby and nervous at the same time. Hope ye are all doing really well. Have been using this site nearly all throughout the pregnancy. But only signed up as a vip recently. Its great reading everyone else's stories and good to know that everyone is in the same boat!

Is so good to hear from you! I'm glad to hear that you guys took advantage of the nice weather and went camping! I have never been camping! I would love to try it next summer!
Lourda don't give up on your diet and exercise!! remenber that is good for your health, plus you get moore energy if you work yur body!

How is Grace doing? so she's crawling into everything same here! lol! they look so cute trying to discover everything around them!!

Everything here is great! I'm getting prepare for the trip! were leaving next friday! I'm so excited nad nervous... IT's the first time I traveling ouside the US with the boys on a airplane! For labor day weekend were going to Albany, NY which is the capital of New York about 2/12 hours away were going to a church retreat were leaving tomorrow and coming back on monday afternoon! were staying at a nice hotel that has a pool and the food is included for $100.00 dollars!
Any plans for this long weekend?

hi there, I think I am always online! hehe, I never log out, even though I am not actually on the site, so provided I have my PC going it says I'm online. Good thanks, having a sunny day for the first time in MONTHS and Millie was so tired this morning she has slept for 2 hours so far, so I have sunbathed! Yes in winter. Feels SO good too, and we have sun predicted for the next 3 days. It means once she wakes I can taker her onto the deck and give her some fun in the sun too which will be nice. Also excited tomorrow is Friday. Nothing else much is happening. Millie is doing alot of mimicking, sounds etc. She is really cute right no. I think her top teeth are finally through but she wont let me look! SOunds like she and Grace are so similar in terms of development. Everything you said in your last post it exactly like Millie. Commando crawling forwards, trying a tiny bit up on knnes but not that into it, no rolling at all, except for one at a time to get into the right position. Just starting to get more affectionate, especially to me. She has suddenly become a real mummies girl! She even cried when Dave took her from me last night. Hard for him.
Your camping trip sounds an experience! So did you sleep the whole night on uninflated beds? I havent been to that park, but did spend a Christmas in Waterford with an old Irish Boyfriend in 1995, and loved it around there

WOW!so much rain doesn't sound fun!lol! we had a couple of rainy days here! the weather is not very hot like at the begining of the summer! I think were going to have a very cold winter this year! When is the summer over in Ireland? Did the weather get better?!
I think that is great that Nick is bussy all the time playing sports! it's great for him! otherwise he would be watching telly like you said! wow, his footbal match was 2 hours away! I'm glad your friend drove and you were able to relax! how did it go? did his team win?!
I'm glad your keeping up witht the gym rutine! good or you hun! once you go back t wok is going to be a challenge to combine everything!.. but I'm sure you will find a way to fit everything in your schedule!
Very happy to hear the kids are going great! Matt wants to crawl everywhere!!

Hi thanks for your reply ,glad you are all well .i have some news its still very early days but we found out on sunday the day before dan went away that i am pregnant again ,i big fright and not at all expected.We are getting used to the news ,dan went away sun and very emotional .
As i said its early days and its the risky period so not going to get too into it yet ,i think i would be due about 22 april . Will keep you posted

Very pretty room Lou! I hope you've let her move in now? ;-) How's life in Ireland? Is it still summery and lovely? It's rained every day except for 2, for the last 7 weeks! So hard to keep the spirits up when it's like that. SOunds like Ireland eh!?
Millie's top two teeth look VERY close now, big swollen lumps and she's pretty sore. She has been quite annoying for a few weeks, am really looking forward to the next happy phase! BUT she did cuddle me today for the first time. Amazing feeling.
She is insitiing on 'walking' everwhere (as you can see from my pics) and really we dont take her weight, but she would just buckle and fall if we were holding her under the arm pits. it's not ideal but she is a very strong willed wee thing and is so happy in that position! Still no real crawling yet, but not far off I think, she actually even moved forward on commando today (by an inch or two) which is a big change from always backwards!

hi, thanx. ummm....i use a stationary bike for 30 minutes 3 days a week. i work as hard as i can on there and push myself to top my last cardio day. yes that is in workout alone. i got 755 mon-786 wed-and 826 fri. going faster everyday between 37 and 41mph. 20lbs to go and 14 till i'm back where i started this pregnancy at. u can do it.

So happy to hear from you! Everything is great here thank God! My b-day was great! I had a nice weekend! The day of my b-day we spend some time at my parents house and we also went to carlos best friends wife babys shower... we had a good time there! can you imagine that he sang happ-b-day to me in front of everyone with a microphone! that was so sweet of him LOL! Then on Sunday we went to seaside heights, nj a beautiful beach.. we had tons of funs with the boys! Besides that were still looking a house...nothing yet! as soon as we find something I promise I will let you know right away!....
Great job you have loss 7 lbs thats owesome!
WOW! Nick soes alot of sports thats great! he must always keep bussy! Grace is getting a new teeth! aww matt is too! for a total of 4 teeth!
I took a prego test a couple of days ago and it's negative...it was good to know!

love the bedroom ,hope Grace is doing well .lily is fine crawling everywhere ,pulling herself up it not safe anymore lol.
Dan is away this sunday and wont be back till a couple of days before xmas ,he will miss so much of lily ,its so sad for him as they change so fast .

how come scales at home and the dr. office are SOOOOO different??? I wanted to cry after seeing the scale at the visit today. ughhh!!! I am working so hard at getting back in shape and then to see that scale it seems that all i've lost since having him is 10 lbs, that would be the baby and placenta, he was 7 lb 8 oz. Oh and I was supposed to get Mirena today cuz my doc left me with the impression when I was leaving the hospital that I would get it at my check up, BUT NO. seems I had to go in with a screaming baby by myself in an hour long drive (Jacob screaming for about 20 minutes of it) late for my appt. so I had to wait 2 hours after getting there for him to get back from his lunch break, to step on a scale and get sad, then sit in a room get blood pressure checked, and asked if I had a period yet or cramping, that was the extent of my check up, then I signed papers to order Mirena and I asked him a couple questions about it. NO REAL CHECKING ME OUT to see if everything was ok, didn't even check to see if my uterus had gone back yet. *sigh* just really frustrated right now with just about everything. I saw the doc for maybe 5 minutes out of a 2 hour wait and 2 hour drive and 6 hours of sleep maybe and a screaming baby. maybe it's the hormones again...
