Grace and Nicholas June 2008
Our new baby Grace has arrived, six days over due on the
6th October 2007 - weight 7.1.
The birth happened real quickly, my waters broke on Friday afternoon while out for a walk! Called the hospital and was told to go in. Felt cramps and pains along the journey. Later the pains stopped and they were giving me 18 hours to go into labour myself if not then i had to get antibiotics to save danger to the baby. After a long night, without sleep and worrying and pains gone.. they gave me antibiotics around 9 the following morning. Later they did a tracing of the babys heartbeat and found that it was decreasing. So they brought me to the labour ward at 11ish which i was dreading they started me on the drip to induce labour as i was only 2-3 cms they kept increasing the dose and pains were getting real bad. I used the gas, had my mind put of pethidine as i used it before and found it useless, and they asked for the epidural but it was too late...! Grace was born at 1.51 p.m. It was so so fantastic.. I couldnt believe it. It was a real short labour but that was due to the drip to speed up contractions. I came home the following day and couldn't have wished for everything to have gone better.
So glad i found this website for the pregnancy feel i have met so many people that will remain friends with. I wish everyone else all the very best with their new babies please God x x x
Hi Just had to start my page again... everything seems to have gone off it!! Well basically im 40 weeks and 3 days over so at this stage really looking forward to having the baby and nervous at the same time. Hope ye are all doing really well. Have been using this site nearly all throughout the pregnancy. But only signed up as a vip recently. Its great reading everyone else's stories and good to know that everyone is in the same boat!

Yes this summer has been great so far...trying to keep busy with the boys... I'm glad to know that the children are having fun in the sun too lol!
Today was my mom's d-day and sat is my b-day! we had a good day me and my brother and sister took her out to eat. We had a good time. I gave her a turqouise necklace and she loved it!
This weekend we have a baby shower to go to and sun. Were going to the beach...
So your going back to work at the end of the month... it must be hard to leave the baby...:(
I want to start looking for a job soon. Maybe when I come back from vacation I will start looking seriously..

WOW, congrats on the new tv! sounds like a nice purchase and the cooker too... how do you like the tv? I bet it's great!! I hope you guys can make it to the fair next weekend sounds like lots of fun...!
How is the gym going for you? How is the your back/hip? are you still going to therapy? I really hope your getting better!
About the house I hope we get something soon... we just started to look again and it's not that easy! :(

The summer is going great! trying to do somthing with the boys every day... they love the water! Carlos is good TG woreking hard like always... the boys and I are very good. They keep me going all day long...
I can't wait to go on vac! yeah hehe
ps the new pics of Grace are lovely!she is so beautiful and she's getting so big! Nick is so handsome! your family is beautiful! May God bless you and you family always!

Hey swetie! I'm so happy to hear from you! I was worry that you have not been on here in a while!! I hope everything is great with you guys! I love the new pics! Grace and Nick look lovely the are beautiful children! you are blessed!! I wrote some updates about the house in my journal... I'm so sad to tell you that the house did not go through :( the house did not appraised at the selling price! we must continue to look! I hope we can find something soon enough!!! we are desperate!!!
Gook luck with loosing weight! Carlos loss 45 pounds and I'm back to my pre pregnancy weight!! I was on a diet for 10 weeks and I walk 3 time a week for one hour...

Hey there! Great to hear from you. Millie seems to just be getting bored with bottles and stuff right now. Trying to get her to use handles to feed herslef the bottle but she doesnt really dig it. But she does seem to want to feed herself solids and I am trying to hold back until it's warmer and I can do it outside! She is getting a little clingy ang grouchy right now, I am worried as her wee boyfriend has come down with a horrible flu and I'm scared she's getting it, but thankfully she seems to be fighting it off. We had a walk today, we've had the worst storms, really high winds, torrential rain and power cuts! But the sun shone for half a day so we took advantage of it. We do still go out each day, rain or shine, just because if I dont we'll both go mental. But it's more pleasant in the sun thats for sure. I met my good friend Kirsten at the cafe and she cheered me up. I've had a tough week emotionally, not sure why. Prob hormones! Just find Millie being cranky is so hard, I dont have much tolerance for that. I am patient with her when she's in a good mood, but not so much when she grizzles! All my friends have been sick or depressed too, and I miss just having a simple laugh with them rather than always a moan session ;-) SO my friend was in really great form, so up and happy and it really perked me up! I bought us omlette with chorizo and feta, and coffee and we sat at the local cafe and talked about fashion and kids and stuff. Then she surprised me with an old toybox I can paint for Millie (been looking all over) and a few hand me down clothes, and Madonna's new DVD to listen too! nice eh? SHe's very generous. It was a real boost in the arm to be with someone really up again.
I am so jealous of you having sun! I cant even imagine Millie on the sand yet ;-) She did love the pool when we took her. She will have a nice long summer soon to spend alot of it at the beach I hope!
SO food wise Millie is now eating alot more variety, especially if it's off my plate! I gave her friend mushroom at the cafe and she loved it ;-) She is also now into yoghurt. But she is getting upset with being stuck in the highchair to feed! She so wants to walk! She wont crawl yet but does scoot backwards quickly. But when I pick her up and hold her under the arms so she can 'walk' she's at her happiest. Really cute it is to see! She wants to walk everywhere and I have finally dug out the walker from under the house. It came from a friend. They are almost banned here for being too dangerous, but luckily we have no steps so she should be ok. I am also going to try and recondition a trolley with big rubber wheels and a wooden base which a friend has left to get wet and mouldy outside. They put toys in it and push it around the house! it is meant to help them walk, not sure she's at that stage yet but maybe soon!
I'm evry proud of you going to the gym! I am having another month without wine/sugar to try and lose those last 5kgs. I think that's why I'm grumpy! teehee

I'm glad your home with the kids and Paddy... I know what you mean about the bills and not having income coming in!!...
Here are some tips abou the food I'm feesding Matt... I feed him sweet potato, green plantains and yellow plantains I boiled them and smashed it with some water and he lovews it! smash potato, I also make soup for him.. I take carrots, potato and coliflower and I boiled it then I mixed it in the blender and I put some salt and I give to him, sometimes I take the soup and put a little bit so rice I smash it and he likes it too. I make chicken soup and I give him the liquid and I smash the carrots and the potato! Matt is a great eater he has the bottom teeth and the upper are comming in! today he woke up with a slight fever due to teething!! I hope these tips work out for baby Grace! let me know!!!...
Thank God Matt is finally sleeping through the night!!! woohoo!! it's been two months already!!!he sleeps the entire night!
WOW the alps are just beyond beautiful! what a wonderful place I saw some pics and the mountaisn and scenary is great! I'm so happy for you guys....it sounds like like it was amazing!

Howdy darlin. Thankyou for your kind comment! I have another stone or so to go before pre baby weight but weirdly I fit all my old stuff. I suspect I have much heavier thighs now or something which means I look thinner eslewhere! Anyway I do feel better. It took a month of no wine or sugar or simple carbs before our holiday to get to this state. It was hard ;-)
I cant beoieve you fitted that much into 2 days! Sounds incredible.
Millie has been off her bottle this week too. I realised she felt happier about it if I sat her up to feed, with her back to me. Also I know I am suppose dot offer food then milk now, but I still give her milk first at breakfast so I am sure she drinks it all. But I guess she's just finding it a bit boring now? She definatley prefers food. Last night I gave her some grated cheese, some bits of cracker and some slices of banana in a bowl and let her feed herself. She thought that was great! SHe made a hell of a mess mind you, and if she decided she didnt want something she'd flick it off her hands onto the floor! I soon learnt to put her on a giant blanket.
She is just being alot more temperamental in all sorts of ways now, trying to assert her dominance I think. ALot more frustrated temper tantrums and stuff. It's kind of spooky but I assumeits normal! Not that I have a super aggressive baby or something?
I cant believe Grace has enough hair to tie up. So cute! Millie has a clip in there now sometimes, I do like it. Yesterday an old man at the Post Office said 'WHAT A FINE SPECIMEN' about Millie, and I said 'why thankyou!!' and he said (yelled - he had a very loud voice) 'JUST LIKE HIS MOTHER'... I just smiled and giggled! SHe was dressed in red white and blue so I guess she must have looked like a boy!! hehehe x

I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm ok t. God and the boys are doing great!! I'm so happy to hear that you went away for a couple of days.... the alps sounds just like a wonderful place. Did you parents stay with Grace? I bet you missed her tons! how did Nick like it?! I bet he had an owesome time too! I wish I could go on vacation soon. Even if it is for 3 days I really need it!!
Are you on vacation for the summer from your job? that is great when do you return?... The kids are doing real good Matt is standing up by himself when his a the crib or playpin. His very strong... I'm feeding him almost anything and he loves food not like Josh he's a very picky eater! I have to chase him around the house for him to eat!!!! We bough him a bike and he loves it! I wrote an update on my journal about the boys if you get a chance take a look :)
The summer so far has been great.... last week I took the boys to the zoo and this week were going to the pool! I'm trying to do somthing every week with them... just trying to take advantage of the weather!
So sad to tell you that the house business fell through... I pray to God that we find something soon!!! we are so crowded with carlo's fam staying here with us.. (I wrote about it in my journal)
