Hey! how are you?

my little man gets the hiccups a couple of times a day. It is ok. See this article I found.
is a response to fetal drinking or fetal breathing, which causes the flow of amniotic fluid in and out of the lungs, stimulating the diaphragm to contract.

Hiccups in unborn babies do not seem to cause the same discomfort as it does in adults. Some research even suggests that hiccups are actually soothing to your baby, and help to relieve a variety of pressures on his growing lungs and organs. Your unborn baby may even start hiccupping as early as the last part of your first trimester, although you probably won’t be able to notice them until much later. If your baby has a hiccup while you are at a prenatal exam, you might be able to hear the hiccups with a Doppler heart tone machine. It is also fairly common for newborns to get cases of the hiccups, so dont be surprised when your little one who has been hiccupping in the womb continues to do it after he gets out!

You still look so fit yourself! :-) I'm definitely not feeling fit, but I do feel lucky. I know I could look a lot worse. I kept saying that when the move was done I was going to start exercising again. Right! Not with working, too. We finally went for a walk last night. It felt good but when I got home, I got that sharp pain again in my left glut. Not sciatica, but a muscle cramp. The shift in weight is bearing down on something and definitely interfering with my ability to keep moving. So now I just watch my body get soft and long for the day I can run again. How is your running/exercising going at 34+ weeks? Have you had to slow down or stop?
My shower was good, thanks. It was co-ed and there were a lot of people so it was really just a big get-together. I didn't get to interact with everyone I wanted to. Got a lot of the typical cute stuff. One of my favorites was a tiny gold bracelet with his name on it. So cute! We still need to buy a few things. Kevin is going to start working on his room this weekend. I can't wait to see what he does. This is his project. I'm just so happy he wants to do it. I can finally concentrate on finishing his blanket that I've been crocheting. It's important to me that I take him home from the hospital in that.
Any new experiences, discomforts at this stage? Have you felt any of those Braxton things? I haven't. Except for that rear muscle pain, I'm about the same - just getting bigger and bigger and bigger....

danya - Thursday, 18 September
Yeah, better to be safe then sorry. Once those contractions hit the last thing I want to be doing is packing a bag!

danya - Thursday, 18 September
Glad to hear that all is well. Are they keeping your due date the same?

I told my husband this morning that I was going to get my hospital bag ready this weekend. He thinks I'm an OCD psycho. I know it's 6 weeks early, but I don't care (ha-ha). This is going to be an experience and a half and I must be prepared!

Annabellex0x - Wednesday, 17 September
I definately agree with Danya, no news is good news, but otherwise the heartbeat and everything was okay?

My ultrasound was this morning, like yours my tech didn't mention anything regarding the baby's size, I should be getting a call for a Doctor's appointment to review the ultrasound. I hope everything is well =)

danya - Tuesday, 16 September
YAY!!! I am so happy to hear that everything is okay. My Dr. always tells me that no news is good news. So don't worry! I guess from my ultrasound, Layla is measuring small too, so we'll just have little peanuts for babies. Better for our deliveries right??? I tell ya.. I am soooo ready for her to come out. I have like 6 weeks left, but I am so antsy and want to get my hospital bag ready now. It's too soon! Time is just going to drag now...

Annabellex0x - Monday, 15 September
Thank-you, did you allready have your ultrasound? if not best of luck =)

danya - Sunday, 14 September
If it was that much of an emergency they would have fit you in. Please don't worry. With mine... they tried to have me come back and I demanded that they do it that day. They freaked me out so much....and for nothing. The good news is being able to have an ultrasound and seeing the baby again. Good luck!

danya - Saturday, 13 September
The same thing happened at my appointment a few weeks back! They thought I was measuring 4 weeks ahead. Turns out the baby was actually measuring a week behind. Don't worry at all. If they thought it was a huge problem they would have ordered the ultrasound immediately. I'm sure it's all good!

hq - Saturday, 13 September
i was measuring small at 28 weeks so they sent me 4 scan it was 2.9lbs then at 32 and it was 4.3lbs which they said was fine as i am small. i think every1 grows at diff rates. funny thing was i kept getting told how massive i was!!

Kaylaaa - Saturday, 13 September
I think I was about 34 or 35 weeks but I can't remember exactly

danya - Saturday, 13 September
Oh that's cool. You girls will all have birthday's close together!!! That's nice!
OMG! I would die if I didn't make it to the hospital in time. Do you have the "What to Expect" book? The other night I was reading the section on what to do if you have to give birth ALONE. I couldn't even read it. My anxiety! I would be in the biggest panic!

boochiemay - Saturday, 13 September
I have no idea what happend one of us will have to myspace her and ask her because the email I got didn't say what happend that led up to the c-section

boochiemay - Saturday, 13 September
I don't knoow if you got my email but Michelle had her baby yesterday she went all the way to 9cm and she ended up having an emergency c-section

Monkee - Friday, 12 September
well I had that lovely cervical exam today and I found out I"m 1 cm dilated and 25-50% effaced! It's been a hard week with lots of false labor but my cervix is getting softer so I guess it's been worth it! I read something about how more births happen on full moons....there is one on the 15th...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! Hope all is well with you!! Have a great weekend!

danya - Friday, 12 September
In one of my birthing classes the instructor said that it's fine to wash the babies clothes with the regular detergent that we use. If yours doesn't have dyes, or perfumes then even better. We just got Dreft anyways because we're over the top. Hopefully by baby #2 we'll be more relaxed (ha-ha). My husband is way worse then me!
My Dr. told me today that she could induce me on October 30th (if I wanted).. so it looks like I could have a haloween baby! I think we're going to do that. I have a lot of family coming to visit and they want to book their flights. So unless she comes earlier.. It's good to know a date. My worst fear is that my water will break at work. No... the WORST fear is that I get to the hospital too late for the epidural. The pain!!!!

roro73 - Thursday, 11 September
Yes, the bedding is there too. My theme is Pooh. Look under blog 12-8-2008 - Shopping For Baby. Well I have been up since 3:30 this morning with no naps in between. You can say I am wiped out. Maybe I'll have a better night.

Take it easy and don't push yourself too much.

Talk to you later.

xox,

Ro

danya - Thursday, 11 September
I have washed bottles. I know I will wash them again though. I just got Dreft, so I am starting to wash all her clothes with that. I just don't want to wash everything too early... cuz I know I will be doing it again. The worst part is just not knowing when she's going to come. I don't want to wait too long because what if I go early and then nothing is done??? Better to be safe and have it all ready to go. 7 weeks is going to go by so fast! I think you're a week ahead of me. Isn't it crazy to think that in a little over a month we're going to have a little baby? I'm so anxious, I just can't wait! I am petrified of the labor and delivery... I don't even like to think about it. I told myself that I wasn't going to worry about it until next month.

Daisey - Wednesday, 10 September
Where is your 33 week shot?? I've been waiting and waiting.... No, he's not kicking my ribs yet. How about you? I'm getting a little worried about his position. I feel him move on my sides a lot. I have another 4D scan this Friday, my last one. I hope he's not still sideways. So you had yours recently? How'd it go? Mine is Sunday. It's co-ed so there won't be all the corny games - maybe just a few Q and A ones. It's the whole reason we've been busting our ass these past months - to finish the move and be in complete order for the shower since it is here. It is looking good, but talk about down to the wire. We're just getting our 60" plasma and granite counters installed today. I'm gonna be so pooped for the shower. :-(
