Well last night was a fun night. Major cramps... turned to major contractions... then they told me my water broke.. which it didn't major discharge and 90% of the mucus plug. I had it to a whole 1.5 cm dialated before my contractions became irregular. the pumped 5 things of IV shit into me. I had to be life flighted from one hospital to other which my insurance won't cover all to send me home and out me on major bed rest!! I'm pissed!

I just read your commet about your mum not wanting to know when you are in labour. Maybe its because she cant stand the thought of being at home and not knowing what is going on, perhaps if she was to go with you to the birth it would be different as she would be able to see what is happening instead of sitting at home worrying. I,m sure its not because she doesnt care, I know when my sister was in labour I was constanly phonong hospital and her husband to check on her progress. Good luck

Thank you, it's funny you would ask --When I leave the house I have to have a Sonic BLAST butterfinger with hot fudge on top, I try to be careful about what I eat but it really doesn't happen, I have a sweet tooth that cannot be satisfied easily. I snack on slices of bread, sometimes I crave protein and I'll make a tuna sandwich- I love adding crushed black olives and apples to it, but I'll usually just settle for the olives. turkey sandwiches, blueberry or mixed berry yogurt, rice crispy treats, vitamin water-energy, I take garlic cloves and cod-liver oil daily, lots of water. These are the basics I can't live without on a weekly basis (sometimes daily). other meals and things fall in too. See nothing really amazing these are just my craves. but thanx for the comment. You look to be in great shape yourself.

Regular OTC stuff for pain, though considering breastfeeding, as for the epidural, discuss with your Dr since it seems everyone is different, I got mine at 9 cm, but some places may draw the line at a different point due to the speed on your baby getting ready to make an entrance. Sounds like you are really concerned about pain, well it hurts, and it hurts really, really bad, and it isn't over just cause you go home, you are still contracting for a couple of weeks and if breastfeeding, they are true contractions-they hurt. Get all ur pain relief questions written down for your Dr. or nurse and your partner for all to be aware when you are in a certain stage or phase what you want for comfort. Good Luck!!!

When I had my daughters all I got was my epidural but they were pretty fast about getting it to me. I didn't want a lot of drugs in my system before getting the epidural. And with both my girls they send me home with just Motrin. But if you have a c-section they might send you home with something stronger.

chastin - Tuesday, 22 April
When I was in labor with my daughter they gave my something before the epidural because I was going to try to go without the epidural for as long as I could. I'm not excatly sure but some doctors make you wait till you are like 5 cm before they give you the epidural but if you are in pain some doctors will go head and let you have it. As far as leaving the hospital, I dont really remember but I think they just sent me home with some motrin for the pain, but by the time I was leaving the hospital I wasnt really in much pain just sore.

Yeah you are totally right on waiting to see if she comes to you. This went on for a LONG time with my friend before I said anything. I had already had my second child and just could not take it anymore!! Good luck. Congrats on the pregnancy.

I can relate to the tantrum you said you had thrown on the moodswing forum...I have been considering getting a punching bag and hanging it up in the garage because there has been more than one time since I got pregnant that I have really really needed something to hit. On a few occasions I have resorted to screaming. Not screaming anything or at anyone, but I just clench my fists and scream as loud as I possibly can for as long as I can and then I seem to feel better. My daughter and my husband think I am insane when I have done this, but I have felt better and that is what counts. You kind of have me thinking of going out and buying a cheap piece of furniture though...Good luck to you and thank you so much for your comment. I feel like I am not the only crazy pregnant woman for the moment.

Hello! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I haven't really felt like coming on LOL I am not sure why. I am alright. I just got done with all my paper work and sending it in. Hard to believe they'll be here in 10 weeks or less (our babies). I am kinda out of my funk, as well. Although I still do go through it, on and off. I've noticed that caffiene can make it worse for me, only making the mood swings worse and more severe. So i've learned my lesson, plus my lower intestinal tract HATES soda pop lol Oh well, I give in ocassionally ;) How are you doing today?? What is ur name , by the way? I am lindsay. Nice to meet you :]
