HELLO! My name is Regan, and my husband Jon and I are expecting our FIRST baby on June 20th, '08. We are both extremely excited!!!! To give you a little idea of of how my pregnancy has gone thus far: My first two months were terrible, and I suffered horribly with fatigue, nausea, & severe headaches, but once I reached 12 weeks, they had pretty much gone. I am now in my 2nd trimester.....will be finding out, hopefully, the sex of our baby on January 23rd, and, for the most part, am feeling really energetic. A few days I wake up feeling groggy, and then tired the whole day.....but once I force myself up, it seems to ease off. Am looking into meeting anyone on this sight that wants to chat.....but also am interested in meeting people from, or around, the Orlando area in the same situation as well. Hope you are all feeling wonderful; and I look forward to meeting you!
January 23rd, 2008 - Went for my ultrasound appointment today, but the baby was not in a good position to determine the sex. Was amazing though because we got to see the face and hands very clearly. Do, however, have a more 'official' ultrasound appointment next week, and will hopefully get the results we want then. Anyways, wish us luck then! Can't wait. Also, am still suffering with horrific headaches that seem to last all day. Am not sleeping as much as usual, which definitely might play a vital role in them....but if anyone has any advice I sure could use it. They last all day, and make me very irritable. I have tried Gatoraide, which doesn't work....I don't drink sodas, so that is out of the question....and don't really like taking pain medications...even if it is something that the doctor reccomends. So, I guess I might just have to suffer. Who knows! See you all again soon!
January 30th, 2008 - Had our big 'official' ultrasound at 2pm today, and found out, without any doubt, that it is a little baby BOY! Kept having dreams of having a girl, so for some reason, really thought it was a girl...but am still very happy that we are having a baby BOY....and everything seemed to look completely normal, and the baby seemed to be very healthy! So exciting! We were decided on a girls name, but are still very undecided on a boys name...so if anyone has any great suggestions, they would always be helpful. We like Jonny. My husband name is Jon, so we think Jonny would be cute. The middle name is, with any choice, going to be James, so the name must fit with that. We also like the names Lennon, Seth, Callum, and Owen. But my husband and I have completely different views on the names of babies....so I am sure this is going to be a difficult choice. Anyways, hope everyone else is doing great in their pregnancy! Speak soon.
February 03, 2008 - Goodmorning! Went with my mum today to have a look around 'Baby's R Us.' Shopping, or even just looking around, is SO much more fun when you know the sex of the baby, isn't it? Got some more maternity clothes....but I would swear that everything is made about one size too big. It is very annoying! I am sure, though however, that I will eventually grow into them! Anyways, my husband and I are having such a difficult time choosing crib bedding. I know it is still quite early to be buying...but we can't even find anything that we like! Actually, the only bedding I seem to like is by 'Serena and Lily,' and it is SO expensive for bedding. I mean, a 3 piece set, that doesn't even include the blanket, for $969.00!!!! Outrageous! I have found some on ebay stores for a little less though, and seem to, at this point, be stuck on the 'Blake' collection by S&L. Well, still have a lot of time....so am not too worried about it. Everything is so much prettier for girls, as well. Clothes, crib bedding, etc. Anyways, speak to you all soon!
May 09, 2008 - Just realized how long it has been since I have updated my profile! My husband and I have just moved houses...so we are FINALLY getting settled in. Haven't fully organized the babies room, but am still in the process of doing so. The bedding I have chosen is the Denyse Schmidt quilt set from 'Land of Nod.' if anyone wants to check it out and let me know what they think. I had to find something that matched with the teal carpet in our house, and this fit perfectly. I could also use some 'decorating tips' if anyone has any. Many other bedding sets come with full room packages; sonce this one doesn't I am having to decorate based on my own style....and I am really short of ideas for some reason. I had an ultrasound on the 7th! It was so exciting to see him again...especialy since out last u.s was at 19 weeks. I am now a little over 33 weeks, and Jonny is weighing in at approximately 5 lbs. 1 oz. They say he is a big baby! My due date is still June 20th, but am told I probably will not make it til then.....so, am expecting around the 15th! My mother-in-law and other family family members aren't flying in from England/Spain until June 20th...so I REALLY hope that Jonny holds out until then. My first baby shower is this Saturday. I am very much looking forward to it! It is the shower for my close 'friends.' that my best mate is hosting. The bigger one for my family/friends isn't til June 1st...I hope I am not pushing it on time. Oh well! Will have to work considering that was the only real date that would work for us. My husband is doing fabulous! If anyone wants there husband to be home more often, I highly recommend buying a game room.....pool table/air hickey/darts! He is home now every night...and I think that it is saving us a little money at least! Well, I hope that everyone is doing well. I am having SEVERE pain in my right ribcage. Am having blood tests to make sure it isn't a problem with my gallbladder or liver...but they seem to think it is just the baby up under that rib. However, the pain is almost unbearable, and doesn't ever go away! So, I am just a little concerned. Other than that, I have had a fairly easy pregnancy. Not sleeping these last few weeks has been tough, and I have been a little irritable....ut other than that, I think once the baby is born, these little things in life won't matter! Well, good luck to everyone! Can't wait to see pics of many babies soon!!!!!! Not long now!
