Hi my name is Melissa. I got married two years ago after a whirlwind romance (we had known each other for two weeks when we got engaged and four months when we got married...)

Anywho on July 13th (friday the 13th) I snuck home from work, with a prenancy test in hand and got the best surprise of my life! I hadn't missed my period yet, but its just like I had this feeling. My husband didn't believe it, so I had to take four more pregnancy tests... he took one too just to make sure they all didnt come back positive!! His, luckily, was negative!

On October 12th we found out our little baby bean was a girl! I was so so so excited. I think daddy was kind of hoping for a boy (aren't they all) but I know without a doubt he will be totally enchanted with her.

My pregnancy has been pretty moderate i guess. I have been nauseated almost 24 hours a day for the last seven months, though the vomiting has been limited, so I guess that makes it moderate! Some days are better than others but usually when I am starting to get a bit frustrated I will get a little kick in the tummy and I can't help but smile and count my blessings!

I haven't added much to the conversations but I love being able to log on and read about everyone else. It always seems like the day I am having an odd pain somewhere that is a bit worrysome, I can log on and, lo and behold, someone else is talking about the same pain. then I feel a little bit more normal! So thank all of you for being so candid and not afraid to ask the questions we are all thinking.

I have posted some pictures of me and the hubby and of the babies room. Buying stuff for the baby has been the best part of being pregnant! I love it. My favorite christmas gifts were the ones that everyone bought for the baby! I am having a very hard time focusing at work these days, so every couple of days I find a website and buy some baby stuff whether it be cute little outfit, lamps, a glider, picture frames, nightlights, shoes. Everytime a package comes my husband freaks out and tells me I need to quit spending all out money. I always say "your baby needs clothes," your baby needs a glider to be rocked in" like duh honey. I have a problem, but I have to inclination to stop!

So we just found out the my husband's uncle is flying everyone to the Caribbean to hang out on his yacht for a week... oh, when... oh, the first week of March! Completely impeccible timing. I am HOPING I will be in labor around this time (or better yet have a couple day old baby) so looks like we are missing the all expenses paid trip, haha. My husband is pretty upset about it, but I am just so excited to get the baby here I really don't care! He thinks I am crazy, and i kind of am! Anywho, hoping to meet some fun mommies!

January 15th- I just got home from my dr appt. Three weeks ago I was measuring 1 week big, now I am measuring two weeks small. I do the math and this means my baby hasn't grown since my last appt. My doctor said she wasn't that concerned but that she would do an ultrasound at my next check up. So now I'm all worried my little gal isn't growing! However, where I am from you don't get another ultrasound after 20 weeks so it will be nice to have that opportunity to make sure everything looks good. Keepin' my fingers crossed.

January 31st- I went in for my ultrasound today to make sure that the baby is growing since at my last appointment my uterus measured two weeks small. Op, she is fine and boy is she growing. 5lbs 7oz! shes a little fatty! I was so relieved. Also, we got confirmation that she is a girl which made me so glad cuz I started worrying what if she came out a boy and I bought EVERYTHING pink! I am feeling like I mentally cannot make it for another six weeks. I told my Dr. in three weeks I am going to do everything I can to put my self into labor! I am in so much pain and so uncomfortable. I was talking to my friend yesterday who had her baby in December and she couldn't believe I was so miserable, she loved being pregnant! haha, I haven't. I guess we will hang in there and be done anytime now!
