Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .

After a labor lasting approximately 4 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 19 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and a lot of hair.

We had our BIG ultrasound today, but we decided to have the ultrasound tech write down the gender and we will wrap it and open it with our family on Christmas Day! It is going to be so hard to wait!

We heard the heartbeat for the first time. All my blood tests were good. What a relief! It seems so real now. We will find out the gender Dec.20! I can't wait!

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren and I am pregnant with my first baby! My husband and I are so excited! I will be 14 weeks this Saturday and I have been feeling pretty good lately (aside from being tired and achy). I finally see a little baby bump, too! On our next doctor's appointment, we will hopefully book the BIG ultrasound when we will find out the sex!! I'm hoping we will find out before Christmas so I can surprise my family on Christmas day with the good news. I have a feeling it's a boy but I'm not really sure why. I would love to have a healthy baby boy or girl!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

This is my first baby as well but my sister has two young boys. I practically helped raise the first born because I watched him everyday during the summer while my sister worked and I was off for summer break - when people tell you that your motherly instinct will kick in, it's true. Once you hold your baby in your arms I think most of that anxiety will go away. Even after having two little nephews, a younger brother & sister, I still feel like I'll mess up being a mom at times, but I know once she's here everything will fall into place as I'm sure it will with you as well! Good luck with everything!

What to expect the 1st year! great book.

bittybop - Tuesday, 25 Mar
I don't really have a book suggestion, but what totally made things easier for me when I was a new mom, was our pediatrician. He (and his nurses) walked us through every step of development and were always there when we had questions. So, I guess my suggestion is having a pediatrician you feel comfortable in and is very open to helping out new parents. I would think most would!

'What to expect the first year' is a good book for how to care for baby, and anything that could possibly happen...

Hello :), I totally understand the anxiety with caring for a baby. Trust me!! My sister just had her baby and we're both staying at my parents' house now, my mom helps her with it, and she will too when it's my turn, but honestly they taught my sister all about the feeding and how to hold the baby and they will not let you go home unless you have properly fed the baby and are able to change the diaper, etc. Don't worry and if you're nervous about breastfeeding..there should be a breastfeeding clinic where they will give you all sorts of tips :) but really,..it's normal to be scared.. I am scared even though I see all of the stages I'll be going through right infront of me :). Relax and I guess we'll just take things one thing at a time and do our best at it :). Have a good night ..xoxo :)

Hi,
My hips are killing me too. I have to constantly rotate from side to side at night, nothing seems to be helping. If you find something that works, please let me know! Good luck,
Amalie

I can only advice you to try and sit down as much as possible when you work (I see your a hairstylist) and keep a good posture. When you are home you should try and lay down as much as you can - relax - relax - relax! A hot water bottle or a bath is a good idea as well. Not too hot bath though and get out if you feel too hot...or just poor some cold water in the tub :-)

I hope it gets better for you!

Best wishes for you and your baby,
Lina x

Not feeling too uncomfortable myself at this stage, and sleeping well, I use my tri-pillow underneath my leg that is on top, when I am lying on my side and find that really comfortable.
I don't know the sex of the baby yet, as the cord was between the baby's legs at the 18week scan, now I have to wait until I am 30 weeks, around another 8 weeks away yet, boo hoo!

Thank you hun for your lovely comment, believe it or not, I never intended to have a big family it just panned out that way, and I am very happy and blessed to have each and every one of them.

NO IT ISN'T A MATERNITY SHIRT, I SHOP AT KOHLS AND I JUST BUY SHIRTS THAT ARE A LAGER SIZE, WITH ME BEING SO PETTITE AND LITTLE MATERNITY CLOTHS ARE TOO BIG FOR ME. I WEAR A LOT OF BABY DOLL STYLE SHIRTS. YOU SHOULD TRY THAT. CONGRAT ON YOUR PREGNANCY!

Hi and Thanks! I actually found them at Wal-mart in the baby section!!! They were the best out of the 4 places we looked, and they weren't super expensive like some of the other ones we found.
