BIRTH STORY:

Birth Story:
I woke up on the morning of 12/15/2007, at 2:30 a.m., having contractions 6 minutes apart I laid around to see if they would get any closer and they didn't but were getting stronger. I woke my husband up at 4:30 a.m. and told him I was having contractions and that I needed to go to the hospital. My contractions weren't to uncomfortable yet but I was bleeding. My husband starts to get stuff together and put everything in the car and we arrive at the hospital around 5:30 a.m. I was checked and I was dilated to 3 but after being checked my contractions stopped so I was sent home. The nurse also informed me that baby was still high and my cervix was still very posterior.
I stepped outside the hospital and they started back up again but this time it was about 10 minutes apart. I went home and fell asleep. I woke up at 10:30 a.m. with a strong contractions. I began timing them again and they were very irregular the patter was 10 minutes, 7 minutes, 6 minutes, 5 minutes then back to 10 minutes. I was told to head back the hospital when they were REGULAR. My contractions continued all day long I didn't see a pattern so I just laid around. I went to the bath room and noticed I was bleeding heavier then I was earlier and the contractions were different they were to the point that I would cry through them. I still refused to go to the hospital thinking they were going to send me home. Finally at 4:00 p.m. my mom insisted that I go back to the hospital. Still timing the contractions in the van they went in this pattern...5...4...3...2...1...minute at this time I couldn't control myself and was beating the ceiling in the car..still trying to remain calm and to let my husband know that I wasn't talking to him because I was pain and not to take it personal.
I made it to the hospital and my husband wanted to drop me off at the front and then park the car. I insisted I stay with him and wouldn't get out of the vehicle without him. We parked and I started to walk the parking lot the whole time falling over and crying. I made it to the elevator and started to fall over again and into labor and delivery were I couldn't stand by myself. I was placed in a birth room and checked. The nurse's face turned almost to a shocked look and told me not to push or to move. I asked her why and she said you're complete and fully dilated. My husband said to me what does that mean. I said I'm a 10 and if I push the baby will come out. He called my mom and told her that I was 10 centimeters and that baby was coming now. In the meantime I was laying on the bed begging to push while they paged the doctor. I was complaining that I couldn't get that epidural I was looking forward to..even though I didn't have it with my first.. The doctor came in 15 minutes later. It was about 4:50 pm. I immediately started to push and was whinning because it burned so bad. I kept telling him my water hadn't popped yet and he told me he popped it but the babies head was corking it. It was a very dry push and very painful. I pushed through the pain as soon as the babies head and shoulders escaped my got the biggest smile on my face and looked at my husband and said Babe the Pain is gone. I delivered at 5:08 p.m. Gavin Jase Miner, 8 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches long. The pain was worth it!
The nurses couldn't believe that I sat at home through labor and never came back in until it was almost to late. I told them there wasn't a pattern to the contractions...


I'm pregnant with my second child. My first is going to be 10. I'm pretty much starting over! My husband and I had our first when we were 17. I think it scared us a little and now after 10 years we've decided to have more.

I'm hoping for a girl this time around. I know as long as he/she is healthy I'll be happy......but girls do not run on my husbands side of the family so we're trying to change that....LOL

I had my first bout of sickness today. I've been queasy in the past but I actually got sick today right after dinner. I felt nausea on the way home from work so I knew it was coming.

I went to the doctor yesterday and heard the heartbeat. I heard it once before during my first scan. I will go back in 4 weeks for the blood test to search for Down Syndrome and then 1 week after that I get to find out the sex....I'm so excited. Babies heartbeat was 160 bpm.

My blood pressure was 120/60 which is great because 4 weeks ago it was 130/90 which isn't so good.

17 Weeks 2 days

Went to the doctor everything is fine. My blood pressure was a little high but it's because I was pissed off yesterday. Work sucked ! I go back on the 18th of July to find out boy or girl. Baby's heartbeat was 143-145. My son got to hear it along with my husband. My son started asking me if I remember what his heartbeat was.

All the predictions are wrong..I'm having a boy :) I'm excited because I already know what to expect. My new due date is December 13, 2007

I feel great. I've been feeling the little guy kick every day and last night I felt it on my hand. My husband has been trying to feel him every night but he's not cooperating :) I think we may of picked out a name but it's not in stone. We have been playing with the idea of Dominic Owen Miner. It's a name that we all agree on even my son Brandon likes it..!!!! We're having trouble picking out nursery sets. I want something colorful and he wants something neutral.....BLAH!

Well my husband felt the baby kick for the first time last night. The lil guy was doing some big kicks and I was putting the remote on my belly and watching it move. I told my husband that he was kicking the remote so he placed his hand on my belly and he felt him kick and roll....you could even feel his heartbeat.

I can feel the baby kick me all day long now. His sleep pattern has changed and it seems that he is awake 90% of the time. He kicks very hard and I can feel it on my leg or what ever body part is resting on my belly.

I started the nursery and I'm not quite done yet. I still have to paint some road signs on the wall and put a chair rail up. I've been feeling lazy and have not wanted to do much.

I've been thinking of the baby and my shower and I've been getting excited. I've been worried about labor and the length of time it will take. My first was 6 hours and I could handle that but I don't want to go pass that mark....LOL I'm against an epidural and well suffer through the pain...but it's all worth it at the end :)

My husband and son have been very helpful although I feel useless at times. I'm not allowed to do certain things like carry in groceries....Why do men change when your pregnant? I'd like it to be like this always!!! LOL

Went to the doctor's yesterday I'm measuring 32 centimeters and am right on target for everything. I have been having lots of pain when I cross my legs or roll over in bed. Am I almost done yet?????????

Went to the doctor today. I did not gain weight or lose weight. Baby is in head down position and she felt his head during my exam. I'm not dilated yet :( I will be going every week now.

Had my appointment today didn't gain any weight since my last appointment. I'm dilated to 1 he asked me if I wanted to be induced...why I have 3 weeks left????

Later in the night I have been having contractions very painful :) Had some bloody show today.

More contractions and shooting pains in my bottom..even more bloody show today I think I lost all of it..it was huge and looked just like the picture showed under mucus plug. My sister is hoping I go into labor on the 1st so our kids will share the same birthday. Our son and daughter were born on July 15 and she thinks it will be cool if our other kids share a day also.

I'm also experiencing shooting pains in my tatas....I'm not sure what's causing it.

For the past week I've been having lots of mucus with brown streaks in it. I swear I didn't know there was so much. I feel a lot of pressure in my bottom and I think I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. I went to the doctor on 4th only to be told that I'm still a 1...HELLO I WAS A 1 LAST WEEK...WERE YOU LYING TO ME???...I'm so over this. I lost 5 pounds from being sick and was told if I didn't go before my due date that he would induce me on the 17th...I'm so scared!

She does not spit up really. She has done it like 2-3 times after overstuffing herself i think. We were feeding her Similac Advanced. We recently switched to the sensitive no fuss one.
