I just found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago.. It wasn't such good news at first but now I am very excited. I think I just had to get over the initial shock. My father is a baptist minister and I am going to a be a single parent so you can imagine how that went over with the family. They have learned to accept it now, my mother is getting excited, which is great because i really need the family's support, which I now have. The father of my child and I are living together with no plans to get married at least anytime soon, but he's stepping up to the plate which overcomes one fear of mine. Speaking of fears, it seems all I do lately is worry. I am trying not to stress out but I feel a sense of urgency, I am only 11 weeks pregnant at this point and already feel like I should have everything. Anyways this is just a little about me.

March 8th, 2007- Thursday

Yesterday I had a appointment to have an ultrasound. That thing is amazing, they gave alot of pictures and we got to find out what we are having. I didn't want to leave the office just wanted to stay in there and watch the baby move. It was terrific.

7/25/07 the day before baby Keldon is born (38 weeks prego)

Ok this is the day before my baby is suppose to be born. I am very nervous and excited at the same time. I am scheduled to be induced at 630am July 26, 2007. The anticipation is killing me. I am so ready to meet my little boy. I will make sure to update my page sometime soon after to give you guys an update and tell you how labor was. Thank you all for your support, this website and all the people on it have been very helpful to me, and I greatly appreciate it. I will also make sure to post new pics of baby Keldon, and possibly some of me if I can ever drop some of this weight...lol. Good luck to all of you.

I got home from the hospital last night with baby Keldon. I am so happy to be a new mom and so overwhelmed with the love I have for him. I will write more later to let you guys know about the labor and everything, I just wanted to post a couple of pics so you guys could see my baby boy. Take care and thanks again for your support!

Yikes Beth it sounds like you came close! Betcha not long now, I've had no signs at all yet, they let you go up to 2 weeks over your due date here so could be 4 weeks for me yet! Aargh! Did you sort your 'situation' out by the way? With your guests......?

Hi Lucidspirit! I was just reading your post in week 37 about the castor oil. I can't believe how many heated debates I've read over that! Both my docs told me there is nothing wrong with taking castor oil. Actually, both of them suggested it anytime after 37 weeks. They told me 2-3 tbsp mixed with orange (or any citrus juice) and a splash of 7up or club soda. I'm going to give it a try after my next checkup. (I want to see if I'm thinned or dialated before I take it) If you try it again, let me know if it works! It's worked for a couple of my g/f's, and maybe it'll work for us too! Good luck!

I have been feeling great! Last week for two days my feet got swollen since then we have been good. Did Eric tell you i had to do the 3 hour glucose test on Friday? :( Not fun. I will miss you and you better miss me too!! :)

I love the name you have picked out! I actually wanted to name #3 Kelby but I decided not to have two K names because I felt like Mekhi would be left out. We just decided on Nolan last weekend. I don't remember where I saw it originally but I have loved it ever since. My husband was stuck on Noah for a while but decided on Nolan instead.

hey girl... I hope you really put your self & baby first, I know it's hard But you have to be strong..Don't be so nice, look where its getting you, I know girl I have 4 kids 17-13-10-6 & 1 one on the way, I been the one who has been the MAIN surpporter in this house, My 3 boys are from the same father & my daughter & baby boy on the way are from current boyfriend, But really girl his family haven't got anything for this child or my daughter, and even so I had to start all over with this child, by getting ALL the baby things MYSELF... I've been getting little my little every since I found out I was pg... my boyfriend is a carpenter, could make good money but can't find a job besides side jobs since last year!!! I said this... now i am on leave at wk, but my plan was to not work any more... if I have to go back to wk after this baby is born then HE IS GONE!!!!! I know it's hard to go on with out him... But if it continues 'girl' it will get worst.... say in touch...

Wow Beth you are due the day before me, and i can't imagine having to go through half of what your partners family are putting you through. You dont seem selfish or irrational at all. You do have to become selfish though sweet heart as you do not want your blood pressure to rise, believe me - i know about that. You need to enjoy the last 4 weeks or so and you can't do that with all this crap. Kind of similar thing with my bf's family, more so his mum. just try not to dwell on it. Put it to one side and concentrate on you and the baby. As for the sister. Try and be calm and hold a meeting and explain why you need them to leave. When you come home from the hospital its a very special bonding time for you shel and the baby and you need that time for just the 3 of you. Hope this helps a little. Good luck with everything. Listen sweetie... I'm not trying to preach but after reading your last post I have to say something. You need to put you and your baby first. All of these people are taking advantage of your caretaking nature. You obviously have a good heart, but even your boyfriend, and from the sounds of it- his family have seen a kind woman willing to give of herself and run you over as a result! At this time in your life, you can't let anyone do that to you! Because when they take from you- they are taking from your baby just remember that! I know it must be tough, but it sounds like you have a loving family available for support... get these people out of your house- including HIM if need be!! Take charge mama!! Put your foot down! You don't deserve this kind of treatment- especially now as far along as you are! I am doing this alone without the father because he is out of the picture. It's not so horrible... in fact- I can concentrate on us- the baby and me- and that is ALL that matters right now!! Let your family help and be there- and get these freeloaders out of your house!!! Sorry- but had to say all that!! Stand your ground- and don't back down!!! (((((HUGS))))

Hi Beth, So sorry to hear your stuggle right now, this is a sucky time to be dealing with such crud. Maybe you could sit down with Sheldon, his sister and her friend all at the same time and let them know the real deal, because you are SOO being taken advantage of here. And you leaving to your parents house is understandable, but, you leave and give them MORE controll over YOUR home. It's hard to be pregnant and emotional and have people pushing you around instead of supporting you right now, maybe your Mom or Dad could come over to your place and just sit by your side while you have 'the talk' with them all. Sometimes the smalles moral support makes all the diference in the world. And even the most mild mannered soft spoken Daddy can be an intimidating presence :-P Keep me posted huh, I'll be praying for you. We're due on the same day! I'm SOOO hoping to go early though :-)
