Hi Everyone! My name is Megan and I have been married to my best friend, Bill, since April '07. We've been together over 7 years and decided after getting married it was time to start a family. I went to the doctor in May and BOOM we got pregnant in June- so fast! We feel very fortunate and love this baby so much already!!!

10-25-08 Yeah! We've made it half way. We go on Monday to the US to see if we can find out what we're having. Initially we weren't going to find out but then it started to drive my husband insane- he wants to know so bad. Since we're finding out for his sanity he's buying me the Coach diaper bag I want :o) I have been working on the nursery all afternoon and just took a break. I hope I'm not crazy starting to get things ready. I need to clear out that room and really wipe it down. I've already bought a few things and have even gotten a few presents so I was so excited to put that stuff in the room. It seemed to make it more official. I can't wait until the room is finished- then we'll just need the baby!

10-27-08 Okay, it's 1:36 and my 20 week US appointment is in 2 hours and I am freaking out! I can't concentrate at work so I decided to hop on here. I can't wait to update my page and post my blog with the exciting news tonight.

10-27-08 It's a GIRL!!! I am so excited. I can't wait to meet her now. I will have little shopping buddy and someone to go get pedicures with :o) I can't wait to do her hair and dress her up all pretty. This will be my husband's second daughter and he will be officially surrounded by women- poor guy. Even our dog is a girl. The baby's name will be Aubrey Christene. We picked that name before we even thought about having kids. I am about to post the pictures. I have a regular one and a 4D. She is an active baby. The tech had a hard time getting the measurements since she was moving around so much. She had her hands covering her face the entire time. She even had her legs up by her face! At one point she was playing with her feet (or so it looked like on the screen- the tech was cracking up). We went to dinner to celebrate then it was off to Babies R Us to register. That was an event in itself. My husband went nuts with the gun and 2 hours and almost 200 items later we were done and I was exhausted. I'm going to post the pics now.

10/31/08 It's week 21 today!!!! I am enjoying the weeks flying by. I am starting to really feel my belly getting in the way now. It's so weird to me to even have a belly :o) I cleaned last night and doing the tubs and the floors was exhausting. Soon hubby will have to do that stuff. I'm trying to prolong it since I am very picky about how my house is kept. We're going this weekend to pick up the border for Aubrey's room so we can gt paint swatches to match, then Daddy will be painting the nursery next weekend. I will post pics when it's done. Come on MARCH!!!

11/06/08 I am in my last day of week 21 and officially 5 months along!!! My little one is kicking more than ever. She is so active during certain parts of the day and seems to like 4:00 in the morning- lucky me :o) I love watching my belly move all around from her little kicks. I can't imagine what it will be like to see a hand or foot move across my belly. Sleep is getting harder. I am tossing and turning more and having to get up to pee more often. My belly is getting bigger so I better adjust. I have an awesome body pilow from the maternity store so that has been a life saver. I would suggest every pregnant woman get one!

11/19/08 Almost 24 weeks..2 more days. I am feeling a lot bigger now. My belly is getting in the way more, especially after I eat and my belly is full. Aubrey is kicking with an all new force. I love feeling the kicks but they are much harder and stop me in my tracks sometimes now. We just celebrated my step-daughter's 14th birthday-she is growing up so fast. She is so excited to meet her little sister. We had our first falling of snow yesterday and Aubrey's room get new carpet installed. Now we are waiting for the furniture to arrive and it will look more like a nursery. Can't wait!!!

11/26/08 We got the border put up and the crib got assembled last night. I LOVE the crib. It is so sophisticated and beautiful. As soon as we get the rest of the furniture and some of the decoations put up I will post pictures. Aubrey's movements are becoming very prominent. I can feel a foot or an elbow move across my stomach- much different than the flutters :o)

12/3/08 100 DAY COUNTDOWN!!!! So excited to hit this mark!

12/15/08 I had a doctor's appointment today and all went well. I have gained 26 lbs!!! OMG, right. doc said it's fine so I'm not too worried. I passed my glucose test and start going to the doc every 3 weeks now. I am so excited about that because it will make the time go faster. We got the dresser today (the right one) and it looks so great in the room. Can't wait to put it all together :o) Saturday is the 4D ultra sound- can't wait to see her again!!!

12/19/08 YEAH- the 3rd trimester :o) and 28 weeks. I can't believe it. We go tomorrow for the 4D ultra sound and I am so excited to see my baby girl again. We are brining Nannie, Aunt Erin & Aunt Jessica. I will post pics as soon as we get back!!!

12/25/08 MERRY CHRISTMAS! I am so excited for the holidays & a chance to have a little vacation. I am feeling a little under the weather but hope it all passes. Aubrey got 2 presents for x-mas; a super soft pink teddy bear from Aunt Erin and an organic first baby doll from Mom-Mom. Me & Bill spoiled each other a little since it's our last Christmas before it's all about the baby. We have our make-up ultra sound Monday. I hope she cooperates more this time. We are bringing Mom-Mom, Aunt Erin & big sister Ashley.

12/29/08 Well no 4D today, the tech was sick so it got canceled. We did take some pregnancy pictures that turned out really pretty so that definitely made up for it. Hopefully we will reschedule soon & everyone that wanted to go can still come :o)

01/01/09 Happy New Year!!! I am so excited to hit this point. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and will have just 10 weeks left- 10 weeks!!! That seems like so little. I can't believe I will be a mom this year- how amazing is that? 2009 will definitely be the most amazing year. My 1st Mother's Day, my husband will have another daughter for his Father's Day, and can you even imagine how awesome the holiday's will be next year with a 9 month old ripping into presents!!! I have resolved to be the best Mom I can possibly be and take time to cherish every second of my little girl's life all while building a stronger bond with my amazing husband so that we have the type of family dreams are made of. Hoo-rah 2009!

01/16/2009 32 weeks today, so excited, only 8 more to go. I had an appointment today and have gained 36lbs- oh my! I am patiently awaiting my showers so I can complete the room then shop for whatever else is needed. My back pain is getting worse but that's normal so we'll just keep on truckin. I have a prenatal massage scheduled for tomorrow and I can't wait. Monday we get to try the 4D scan again and I hope she's cooperative- can't wait to see her again.

01/29/09- What a freakin' week! I went to the doc on Monday with contractions. He sends me home to rest b/c there was no dilation. I get them again Tuesday night but after an hour they went away- that scared me and Bill right into packing my hospital bag. Once we went through the packing list we were a little taken back by how much we really don't have since we are waiting for my baby shower. No crib mattress, no car seat- just a few outfits. So yesterday I'm at work & have the WORST pains in my lower back & here come the contractions agian. I was in tears at work, in front of my staff. I head right to the hospital where they hook me up to monitor her heartbeat & the contractions. Those contractions were spiking to 4 and above- ouch! No pain relief tho. My blood & internal tests were all still good so I had a follow-up today & the doc put me out of work. I am relieved & stressed at the same time. This will give me LOTS of time to slowly do things around the house but it also chops my pay. I know it's for the best and all that matters is Aubrey at this point. I know money is the last thing to worry about. Me & Bill are heading tonight to get our taxes done so I can crunch numbers & make a plan (yes- I am a planner but I can't help it- its in my nature).
