Monday, 1 December He he , yeah, It just keeps getting later and later that he sleeps and I end up sleeping in too late as well. We went to the embassy and Matts visa should come throught soon, but now we have to stick around until Hunters "issues" are worked out
Not much we can do about that, as we arent going to ave healthcare at home... its so messed up. crsmommie -
Monday, 24 November Thanks so much for your reply!
We finally have made progress and he know drinks his milk straight from the sippy without any problem (knock on wood!)
We also have cut out 2 daytime bottles, but he still gets his morning and night.
Thanks again for your reply! Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Wendy Elizabeth -
Friday, 14 November I just read your comment about your daughter not wanting to put #2 in the potty! I had the exact same problems with my daughter. Except it was the whole potty to begin with. She knew what she had to do and when she felt like she had to go, and she knew where pee and poo went but she just refused to put it in the toilet! It was a power struggle which seemed like months. Finally at my wits end, I got online at amazon.com and purchased a DVD called POTTY POWER. This motivated her almost instantly and there is even a little play at the end about the princess and the potty and my daughter loves princesses! She went from not using the potty for months, to out of diapers completely and into big girl underwear in like 1 week. Accidents are rare, but they still happen occasionally and thats to be expected. Also, I was so stressed out over it and "pushy" she picked up on it and i think that pushed her farther away. The thing that got her was to "BACK OFF" and let her watch the dvd. It was hard but we did it and now she is completely potty trained.
good luck with everything!

Saturday, 8 November Cafe Mom is actually pretty cool, Ive been looking at it tonight. YeaWe went out to dinner last weekend , it was soooo nice! We left Hunter with some friends that live in the flat down stairs and we we joked how far away we would be able to hear him screaming when we got home... well it was no joke-he was frantic and took two hours to calm down when we took him home! Went to see fireworks tonight for bonfire night- raining of course, and he slept through it, but I wish he could appreciate these English things , I guess we could take traditions back home with us. Wont be home before Christmas- Immigration is taking forever , but then again its not know for being fast is ts!? tracylouella -

Wednesday, 29 October Thank you for the advice. My Mom , Sister and nephew visited us today and I witnessed the whole scene, it was heartbreaking. I will tell her about your advice. My son is doing well, Iam falling behind in milk production, I had my In laws living with me for 2 months and it was socially difficult to BF freely. My son starts Bf and then gets anxious to eat more so I switch to bottle. I can go back and forth BF and bottle with no dramas. I think that having less milk in the beginning helped me to show him that both boob and bottle can satisfy him I will start working in November and I think he will be fine, he loves his pacifier and doesnt mind the bottle. Lucky me
Thanks a lot. ama-llama -
Sunday, 5 October Who said I was coping well?!? ha ha ha
Well, just taking every day at a time. We got some Infantini , low volume formula that has extra calories. The odd thing is , is that I swear he likes that stuff more than my own! He gobbles it down. Well at least now I dont have to stress about him not getting enough. We are aiming to get home before Christmas, but Immigration takes forever with stupid paper work. :S
You should post some more pics Id love to see what Anna looks like now! QUEEN-RI -

Monday, 29 September I didn't even mention her at all. Just that I had missed an interesting coversation this weekend and that I think that the most important thing we can do for our children is to be good people first. Weird. mkatel -

Thursday, 25 September Thanks hon!
Feeling a little better today (the sun is actually out!) Im going down to Brighton with my best friend for her birthday on Sunday and the thought of a day away is keeping up my spirits.I love the fact my husband will get to feed him ALL DAY LONG. Hes actually pretty good about understanding my frustration with the boys feeding , but now he will get to FULLY experience it . Hunter hadhis jabs today and we weighed him and he has gained like 140 grams in 3days. He is 13 lbs now. God knows where he got it from as he eats so little. The health advisor said maybe I have powerful milk.he he he That made my day . Im going to try to stick to that logic and if he only wants to eat 40mls as he did two feeds in a row last night.. ..well then Im just going to trust my powerful milk as its gotten us this far at least! By the way, what do/did you teach?? And my real name is Amanda but Ama for short ;) oldie44 -
Monday, 22 September Check out Woombie, I ordered one, has not tried yet, but to concept looks smarter than Kiddopotamus, which I used for for 2 months, but is too smal now. kelly714 -
Tuesday, 16 September I actually have tried to give him water before. He basically refused to drink it. He kept making a funny face and pushing it out of his mouth. I have so much trouble getting him to take a bottle anyway, even of breastmilk. Who knows, hopefully this is just a phase! kelly714 -
Monday, 15 September HI, thx for responding about sleeping through the night. I don't get him up to feed, but as soon as I hear him stir a bit I'll nurse him and he goes back to sleep right away, but he won't go any longer than 4 hours between feeds. He's 11 weeks today and last night he made it 4 1/2 hours for the first stretch ( he wouldnt go down until almost 10) and then he was up every 3 hours after that. Seems like I've tried everything!
