A Lil About Me:
Hi Mommies to Be! My name is Lauren, I am 24 and happily preggers with my first child. I am having a little boy which we (me and my love, Dave) are naming Nathaniel David Diaz. I have never been so happy in my entire life...I never realized how amazing carrying a baby was until now!
I am a full time leasing agent at an apartment community in North Wilmington. My job is really fun and i get to interact with different people all the time and I'm not stuck behind a desk all day. Although walking around so much has been getting a little tiresome these days with the extra weight and swelling feet!
I finally decided to join this website after going on it everyday since I found out I was pregnant! I figured it time to chime in on all the great and helpful discussions I always see. Plus...it gives me a chance to talk about baby with women who know exactly what I am going through and actually like hearing about sore boobies, breastfeeding, pregnant sex, and all the other wonderful things going on in a pregnant woman's world!

When did you find out? A few days before New Year's Eve, but I knew for at least a month!Were did you find out? In my bathroom...lol

What was your reaction? It's about time the test said positive...I only took 3 before it that came out negative!
Who was the first person you told? Dave...lol...that was interesting!
How did you tell the father? I told him he needed to go look on the bathroom sink

When is your due date? August 19, 2008Did you have any morning sickness? All day sickness was more like it cept I never threw up
What are your fears? A lot from having complications to money worries
What are you most happy about? So far I have had a great pregnancy
Did you want a boy or girl? I wanted a girl at first because of all the cute pink dresses but Im just as happy now about a boy!
What did the father want boy or girl? He wanted a lil race car driver
Do you know what your haveing? A lil man!

How much weight have you gained? 8 pounds
Have you felt the baby move? Yup...thats the best feeling in the world!

What do you think will be the worst part of labor? Pushing him out

The last few weeks are the hardest. I remember with my son I would just cry and cry waiting on him..of course he decided to be overdue. Im hoping this is not the case with this one. Of course I want her to be healthy but with everything that is going on in my life..it might be easier if she was here already that way I could move on and get things in order...sheesh LOL

Hi i was just reading your comment about the pinching feeling down below when you walk, i started getting that on friday and damn it hurts...im going for a midwife appointment tomorrow and ask her what its all about because this is my first bub so im not sure whats going on

I go for another ultra sound on Mon to see what his measurments are I can't wait I'm dying to know how much he weighs now. I'm glad everything turned out good on your ultra sound and your little one is nice and healthy! I think sometimes the doctors don't want to be honest because they don't want you to worry more than we already do. My OB is just now really starting to tell me what I'm dealing with during the delivery and now I'm getting worried. They are concerned about alot of blood loss due to the lupus and that my kidneys could be stressed and start shutting down. My lupus is acutally under control right now and I'm feeling the best I have felt in years. I'm not taking any medications for it at all right now although they did give me some Lortab 2 weeks ago to help with some of the pain but I hate taking it while I'm pregnant. They think the baby make be small due to my lupus and that he may have some problems after delivery because he will have some of my antibodies in him so he may show symptoms of having lupus for the first couple of months. I'm high risk because I have lupus and I'm 38 years old. I have been doing really great till week 28 and I found out I have gestational diabetes which is another high risk and the last week my blood pressure shot up and we can't get it under control even with medication. I have to have 2 non stress test a week and go for weekley ultra sounds. My doctor doesn't think I will make it passed week 36. Are you high risk?

I'm high risk and I have had 3 of the biophysical ultra sounds and I go for another one next week. I had to have 2 of them because the baby wasn't doing good on the non stress test so they sent me for that ultra sound.
