A Lil About Me:

Hi Mommies to Be! My name is Lauren, I am 24 and happily preggers with my first child. I am having a little boy which we (me and my love, Dave) are naming Nathaniel David Diaz. I have never been so happy in my entire life...I never realized how amazing carrying a baby was until now!

I am a full time leasing agent at an apartment community in North Wilmington. My job is really fun and i get to interact with different people all the time and I'm not stuck behind a desk all day. Although walking around so much has been getting a little tiresome these days with the extra weight and swelling feet!

I finally decided to join this website after going on it everyday since I found out I was pregnant! I figured it time to chime in on all the great and helpful discussions I always see. Plus...it gives me a chance to talk about baby with women who know exactly what I am going through and actually like hearing about sore boobies, breastfeeding, pregnant sex, and all the other wonderful things going on in a pregnant woman's world!

When did you find out? A few days before New Year's Eve, but I knew for at least a month!

Did you have any morning sickness? All day sickness was more like it cept I never threw up
What are your fears? A lot from having complications to money worries
What are you most happy about? So far I have had a great pregnancy
Did you want a boy or girl? I wanted a girl at first because of all the cute pink dresses but Im just as happy now about a boy!
What did the father want boy or girl? He wanted a lil race car driver

Have you felt the baby move? Yup...thats the best feeling in the world!

Hi, sorry if my comment scared you....! I did tear badly and routine episiotimies (cutting) are not the norm anymore. I have heard that healing from an episiotomy can be worse than a natural tear anyways. Most of the reason it happened to me (I think) was that my first labour happened very quickly, not much pushing time and therefore time to stretch out, plus my son's shoulders were slightly twisted in relation to me! I found it really hard not to push when the urge came and it was his shoulders that did the damage. If I could have somehow held back, or had someone apply a pressure against his head as I pushed, or pushed him out NOT lying down on my back, maybe it wouldn't have happened. I have a doula this time and will be communicating my wish to deliver squatting or on all 4's, plus she has said that warm packs on the perineum can reduce teargin too. My doctor told me as well that the second baby won't often tear the same way, as you are kind of stretched out already. I hope that makes you feel a bit better. A doula or midwife is defintly a good option, I feel pretty good about my decision to have one this time and wish I had done it with the first!

I think if you look back a few days in the posting there was a whole bunch about sex after vaginal birth....for me it was very different for a while. To be honest, I didn't really enjoy it until my son was 7 months old and didn't even try it all until about 3 or 4 months. I had very bad tearing, so I was pretty hesitant but obviously, since we are pregnant again (and it took more 'work" this time!!), I got over it! Everyone's experience is different, so don't get too scared about it. The prenatal classes can be a bit of a wake up call, that is for sure. I remember being freaked out after the first couple of classes. My advice would be to ask your teacher about any concerns you have and TRUST that your body will know exactly what to do. The classes are great for hospital familiarization, meeting others due around the same time and as a heads up for how to know you are in labour. AFter that you can't really control it! Anyways, try not to worry too much- you will be fine and in the end you will have a beautiful new baby to take home!

i wouldn't be mad at him......he would have been working anyways and you were sleeping. guys are different that way....he probably didn't want to disturb you. my husband always thinks he has to make an excuse to go out on his own.....i feel bad that he thinks he has to check with me....we're blessed that they come back home to us, that we found them in the first place, that we return home to them.....don't worry so much about the lil stuff.....i'm 35 so i've been through what you are going through.....except that you have extra hormones now.....don't worry, he loves you!!

i would be mad too but you need to see it from his point of view. me and my guy had a similar problem. i work weekend nights so i want to see him during the day but he stays at my bros drinking all weekend and on sunday my day off he makes all these plans w/his friend...so instead of us spending at least 1 day together we won't see each other until sunday bed time... it makes me sooo mad but i know he is trying to have fun before the baby comes and he will cool off when logan comes.. try not to over react they will do what they want and u could push him away. anyway good luck

It can be pretty strange. But I better get friggin used to it soon cause the last 6 months have flown and It's goin to be my due date quicker then I can think. Its funny when you plan something down to the day and it still jumps out at you!:bigggrin
