I am a first time mommy to be. My husband and I have been together for over 5 years but have only been married since May 26th. We have friends who have been stressing about conceiving so we decided to go with the flow. Wow, look what happened! It's a little earlier than we anticipated but we are so thrilled!
We definitely will be finding out the sex of our little one. We are so impatient that we picked the names out about a month ago! I guess we'll find everything out in December...what a great Christmas gift to the family!

Josh and I cannot wait! We find out the sex of our baby on December 19th! We'll will definitely feel more connected to the baby once we can refer to him/her by name. As soon as I find out I'll be a woman on a mission to decorate my baby's nursery. Yay!

My husband and I want a boy more than ever now. (If we have a girl of course we'll be just as happy.) My sister is soooo sure that we are having a girl. She says we may as well not even find out the sex because she's just so sure of herself. Now we really want to prove the little know-it-all wrong. Ha! Only a little over a week until we know for sure!

It's a boy! I ate a few peanut M&M's and he was pretty happy. He was spread eagle when the U/S tech went to check the sex. I yelled "that's a penis!" She said that he was putting on quite a display and there was no question as to what the sex was. (She said thats one of the best boy pics she's had in while and he's going up on her wall.) My husband and I are soooooo happy. We kept trying to convince ourselves that there could be a little girl in there but we just kept thinking boy. Yay! He weighs in at 12 oz. Everything looked and measured perfectly according to the doc. My little Hunter James Williams. I can't wait to meet the little guy.

Well Hunter is not even here yet and he's already getting presents. He has two baby blankets, a pair of navy shoes (soooo cute), 4 outfits, a little football, a bib, and some booties. I was impressed. I can't wait to put those little outfits to use.
Josh just got started on the nursery. He took the popcorn off the ceiling and flattened it yesterday. He plans on finishing that big mess up today and not he's going to paint the walls. I just registered for a bunch of goodies yesterday. The nursery is going to have a nautical theme with navy, light blue, and white. This is so much fun... I just wish I could be at home helping my hubby prepare the nursery. Work isn't as fun as fixing up the house.

I am finally getting that reassuring kicking from my son now. It is such a wonderful feeling. He is very active and boy does he get going once I eat something sweet...especially chocolate! Sometimes I'll be hunched over and he gives me a good kick or starts pushing on me and I immediately sit up! He's just watching out for mommy's posture. What a sweet boy. I wish Josh could feel the baby but I don't think Hunter is big enough to make my belly warp into funky shapes. I had a check-up this past Monday and my o.b.g. took a second to get Hunter's heartrate because he decided it was time for his work out routine. When she finally got that little heartrate, it was 163! He was a busy boy. I think Hunter is going to keep mommy and daddy very busy when he gets here. =)

Josh and I went to my company holiday party last night. It's pretty nice. We get to stay in this nice resort at the beach every year and there is an open bar, music, a nice sit down dinner, I mean my company really tries to make up for the long hours we put in throughout the rest of the year. Of course its a whole different ballgame when you do this thing sober. I just laughed at people a lot and watched everyone else get drunk. Plus I had a prego buddy with me. My boss's wife is 5 weeks behind me. Our hubbies only made it to 9 before they were both pretty hammered. (Ha, guys! Enjoy it while you can!) I of course was dead sober and sitting up watching TV. I started feeling some pretty strong kicks. I lifted up my shirt to see if I could actually SEE movement in my belly. Sure enough, Hunter went nuts and started kicking like crazy. I actually saw my belly jerk and bounce and it was the most amazing thing! I hope this happens more often. (Lets just hope he lets me get some sleep!)

Josh and I were sitting on the couch watching a movie last night when Hunter started practically kickboxing. I told Josh to watch a spot in the upper right side of my tummy and sure enough daddy got to see is little man move. He put his hand on my tummy and felt it too! It was pretty special. I love those moments when Hunter is having fun. Now I don't have to wait for doctor appointments to hear or see proof that he's really hanging out in there. This pregnancy has become much more real to me. I love this!

So I am pretty much huge now. I have officially hit the 200 lb mark. I never though I would ever say that but it happened. I also don't think I can afford to get any bigger. My belly is rediculously out there! I have these horrible stretch marks and they are right in the middle of my tummy. I plan on losing a ton of weight after the baby comes and I want to be able to wear a bikini by next summer. I just hope these stretch marks lighten up a lot. Hunter and I will have a lot of fun at the beach next year and I want to be able to focus on having fun with him and not just watching him and his daddy goof off. I know I need to keep my caloric intake at a certain level to breast feed but I am going to be very active. I am going to sign up with this group of mommies that work out in the mornings Monday thru Friday for an hour. It's so cool! These moms go walking thru these beautiful neighborhoods and then do work outs that involve the babyies! Josh and I have our next U/S appointment coming up on the 5th of March! We can't weight. I'm sure we will discover that Hunter is a healthy little boy which is all I ask for. I have no doubt that he is also going to be a big boy. Mommy is a little worried. I just hope he isn't 10 lbs like his daddy was! Yikes!

Well, so much has happened. Last Thursday I had a doc appt and they checked my blood pressure which was fine but they did find some protein in my urine which is a sign of preeclampsia. Therefore I had to miss that day and the next day of work in order to do a 24 hour urine test. I also had to do some blood work. Blood work good, urine test not so good. They called me back in on Tuesday for a stress test. That was the first day of bed rest. My doc is awesome and she wants to play it safe. The baby seems to be very healthy but the swelling in the feet and ankles (pitting edema) and the elevated protein levels made her want to treat my situation as though I have preeclampsia. I was ready to cry at the mentioning of "bed rest" until she said that she's going to deliver Hunter at 38 weeks! Yes! Now my mom and sis know when to be here and my friends and family know what to expect. We're hoping I can deliver vaginally and my doc said that we're going to just have to see how things go. Today I had more blood work and another stress test and an Ultrasound. Hunter is weighing in at 6 lb 11 oz. Big boy! This is why I wanted to deliver a couple of weeks early! Yay! Two weeks and I get to meet my son! Josh and I are soooo ready!
