Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Tuesday, 13 May mine is 3 1/2 weeks and she eats 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours, hope this helps =) miracle-baby -
Thursday, 8 May I read the comment about your baby snacking and the reason your breasts don't feel as full as they did the first few days is because your body is getting used to baby's feeding habits. Now your breasts will only store about 1/3 of the milk you need and then produce on demand as the baby sucks. So the more your baby eats the more your body produces. So if your baby is snacking then you should be producing more milk, not less. I was concerned too that my breasts weren't feeling as full and that it seemed as if my baby wasn't getting enough but if your baby has more than 6 wet diapers a day and they are gaining well, then you are producing enough milk. I am only passing on what the lactation consultant said to me. I was just as concerned as you were. I hope this helped. jwhitley -
Thursday, 8 May It's not too late to start pumping. Milk is supply and demand- the more you need (extract) the more you will produce. Let the baby get all it wants first then pump. Some women swear by Fenugreek- you can buy it at GNC or a Health Food Store. I bought some pills with my 3rd baby- also concerned I wasn't producing enough- it didn't really seem to help me any, but maybe I wasn't good enough about taking it. Onli1aceSpades -
Monday, 14 April Hello, I am from 38 weeks and I was peeking at week 39 and saw your comment. I was told by my doctor that Nauseau and Vomitting is mostly a sign that Labor is approaching. So in some ways it is actually exciting, but I know how you feel, completely miserable with the nauseau. katiebaby1434 -
Monday, 14 April yes, I am cranky and wake up irritable, I dunno why..maybe I'm just really anxious and sick of everyone asking if I had the baby yet!! I guess I'm also scared about the labor part, and hope everything goes well. It's probably the fact that we have a lot on our minds, and basically just want our babies in our arms already!! Monday, 14 April I am from week 33. I have had hyperemesis all pregnancy and have been very sick and throwing up almost everyday of my pregnancy. The baby is doing fine though. Just try to make sure that you are getting some nutrients in your body:) Kassie08 -
Sunday, 13 April Also, there is talkingbabies.com which is a link from here for new moms. Not sure if it is the same as the link I gave you. Kassie08 -

Monday, 7 April Thanks for that! my doc did examine me and tell me Im 50% effaced, did not mention dilation, so no dilation yet. :( How close are you now?? :) Kassie08 -
Sunday, 6 April Hi. I was thinking of you and your question a while back about how much weight to expect to lose right away from baby, placenta, amnio fluid, blood, etc. I replied that with my first baby I came home from the hospital hte same weight as I went in b/c I retain so much water weight. I wanted to tell you that the same thing happened again this time! So frustrating, but I don't want you to be frustrate dif that happens b/c it may. BUT, she is a week old now and and I am down 20 lbs.(still 20 more to go, but who's counting.) It just may not happen right away, but it does happen soon there after if not. I did go out and buy OTC diuretics to help with the water retention, but I am not breastfeeding, and you wouldn't want to do that if you are (I actually heard it can help dry out breat milk, and I think it did help with that too for me.) Everyone is different, so who knows what your body will do, but I know a lto of women posted that they came home 15-20 lighter than they went in, and I wanted to share with you my experience. Are you 38 weeks now? You are SOO close! kassie08 -
Saturday, 5 April Hi! Thanks for the note. Are you going to try castor oil soon?! You sound like you are getting desperate. :) melissa31 -
Thursday, 3 April I actually went yesterday but my contractions won't stay regular enough or keep increasing in intensity to keep me dialating...they keep stopping and starting. So, it's like I am in a verrrry slow labor and they won't break my water for (2) weeks. Agh! How are you feeling? melissa31 -
Thursday, 3 April Hi! Loosing your plug realy has no bearing on whether labor starts. You can do any one of the following first: dialate, efface, water breaking, or loosing your plug. I tend to think that loosing the plug is the least important one at this stage of the game. I was checked on Monday and turns out I am 3 cm dialated, about 85% effaced and baby is at zero station but no sign of the mucous plug. You can loose it a few days to a few weeks before delivering and really isn't a good way of detecting when labor will start. Also, many drs say that the plug is washed out when the water is broken. Hope that helps! kassie08 -
Wednesday, 2 April Hi. I have been thinking about you. Yes, I think it could happen soon! That is how I was ( 3cm and 75% effaced), and at 36 weeks I started taking Evenign Primrose Oil and I inserted it vaginally at night before bed. I also started drinking Raspberry Leaf tea 3 xs a day. And sex! That's what I did, and by day 4 of 36 weeks I was in early labor. If you recall they were probably going to induce me this week anyway b/c of her size, so I think that played a part in it too. I do think that it will only work if your body is ready, but it sounds like you may be! Can't hurt to try. I have posted my birth story on my page, and I will post pics soon. :) mybundleofjoy -
Friday, 28 Mar Well your comments really make me feel relieved to know that the test is that simple. Thank you and take care... mybundleofjoy -
Thursday, 27 Mar Tell me more about the Step test...what all did they do? I am getting the test done next Thursday and I am a little worried about the unexpected.
