Today I have an appt with my dr to check for the heartbeat, etc. I've been spotting brown discharge the past 3 days so they want to check everything out to make sure all is okay. I'm so nervous, I hope the heartbeat is still strong and the baby is healthy. I will update as soon as I come home.Wednesday, 28 Nov
Okay everything is normal and the baby is healthy. Got to hear the heartbeat again. It was 149bpm. So I'm so excited, we set the u/s appt to find out the sex for Jan 3rd. 4 weeks away! I cannot wait.Sunday, 27 Jan

I have a c-section scheduled Tuesday morning at 8am. We just had our last doc appt today. I am so busy trying to finish work that I really haven't even had time to think about it. I am getting back to work now. Tomorrow was to be my last day and I am really trying to get everything done so I can take a 1/2 day. How is everything going with you? How's motherhood treatin ya?

well the reason she said c-section was an option is because my cervix is very "unfavorable"--i'm not dilated at all and i'm still totally posterior w/ no signs of labor, so the cervadil isn't guaranteed to start labor. so basically, if the cervadil doesn't do anything at all, they won't start me on the pitocin because it would be pointless. at that time, i can either go home or have a c-section. either way, i don't want a c-section unless i absolutely have to. i'll just have to see what happens.

oh god no, i'm still totally pregnant. every time i go to the doctor i'm totally closed up and whatnot. but she's scheduled me for an "induction" on monday night. basically i'll go in and they'll give me cervadil to try and ripen my cervix and see if anything happens. if so, then they'll keep going with the induction, if not i can either og home or i can opt for a c-section since i'll already be there if i just want to get it over with. but we shall see what happens. how are you?

Hey, I am good! No baby yet but went to the doctor this morning and I am scheduled to be induced next Thursday at 7 AM. I am so happy that there is an end in sight. how is your lil man doing?

hey there how you doing, you know i had episiotomy with my first son,, but with this one i teared by my own and had one stich.....you son is so cutee!! gos bless him.. is he making you wake up alot middle of the night?

Wow im surprised to hear you say your son has jaundice so does mine. But my son wasnt yellow or anything his eyes were yellow which is another sign of jaundice. I have been sitting him occasionally by the window with little outings here and there. And about the formula my first son used Enfamil, and I preferred that over Similac. Is your babies jaundice getting better?

i'd say it took about 3wks for it to be completely gone b/c even when his body wasnt yellow/orange-the white of his eyes were still a little yellow. are you breastfeeding? my boy's pediatrician said that helps b/c they get all the nutrients that formula doesnt give them...luckily i made it til he was about 4wks....congrats on your baby!!

I was induced at 38 weeks and my son was 9lbs 14oz, and mind you I am only 5'1. OUch...LOL, Dont worry about baby losing ounces according to my doc they lose 10% OF their weight in the first week of birth but by the time they turn a month they shouls be back to birth weight if not more. What kind of formula is your son on. I am breastfeeding (my first time) and formula feeding (Similac Advance). So far everyhting is going good I was worried because my son hadn't pooped in 2 days however today when I was waiting for a call back from the doctor I heard him fart watery...LOL.. so when I checked him sure enough he was pooped and when I wiped him and put a new diaper he didn't again. Needless to say he did it to me 2 more times right after I was done putting a new pamper on him. So I guess I was just worrying; my husband tells me I'm a little over protective, but he doesn't know what its like to be home with baby all day, carrying him for 9 months and having a natural birth. Do you think I am being over protective?

i went to the ER on friday night becuase i was suffering from swollen hemorrioieds :((( they were so bad i that had to do surgery to cut them.. but now i am trying to heal up.. i am using the pump for the brestfeeding.. aawww huny i am very sory that ur kid had J.. hope he feels better that sucks...

Glad I could help. my son will turn 3 weeks on friday. And about the farts, my son expels them like a grown man.lol I dont know if it has anything to do with how big he is for his age.

when I took my son to the doctor when he turned a week old i told him i was having the same issues and he told me not all babies burp some babies let it out the other end.Which is exactly what my son is doing with an occasional burp here and there. SO if he is farting dont worry about it. let me know how he is doing

I have always been able to get my babies to burp by sitting them straight up on my lap with my one hand firmly supporting their back and my other hand holding between their chest and cheek. Keep him sitting as straight up as possible while you gently put pressure against his mid to lower back with your palm. Does that make sense?? It's kind of hard to explain.

how was being induced without pain relief? did they use pitocin? i have a feeling i will need to be induced and i dont want an epi, but i heard the pain is much worse when you're induced...congratulations, btw!

I am scheduled for May 19th. I was scheduled for this Sunday but they delayed it for a week. I am hoping Baby Girl will come on her own before the 19th, but if I have to have the induction that is fine, just as long as she arrives safe and sound.
Thanks for the information and tips! This is our first baby too and I have no idea what to expect. I will be going for the epi as well.
