1/15/2008 Just got back from my first appt. The baby looks good and is measuring right on track. What a relief!! The docter said he has a good feeling about this one, so I hope he right. Because of my age and history he recommends that I go to the specialist at 12 weeks for a Neuchal Fold test. I guess that will give me any early indications that something is wrong along with a blood test.
2/6/2008 Did the first part of the Nuchal Fold test today due to my age and history. The ultrasound was good, everything measured as it should. I will wait to hear from the Dr when my labs come back. It was so great to see the baby again!!!
2/19/08 Had a check up with my OB today. My labs from the first part of the Nuchal Fold all look normal, so that is a big relief. I am sure I will feel much better after the second half of the testing. Doc couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler so we did a quick ultrsound to make me comfortable that the baby was ok. It was nice to see the baby again! He or she is starting to get big...
3/20/08 I had my big ultrasound with the second part of the Nuchal Fold test. All my bloodwork came back normal and the Dr said the ultrasound looks good. I can't even explain the relief that this baby is healthy!! The icing on the cake is that the baby is a little GIRL...

Today I went for my u/s..they dated me at 8 weeks and 3 days. I have spent most of today holding back tears of joy. My doctor said the heartbeat was strong and the baby looks great!!! When those words came out of his mouth I felt a world of relief...I am still a little worried..4 more weeks and the chances drop drastically!!! I can't wait!! I will be praying for you and please keep me updated.

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I am pregnant. I am excited, but very nervous. I have been blessed with three beautiful and healthy boys. Yet, my more recent experiences have taking away the carefree attitude I had with my boys. After my first son I had a miscarriage which took a while for me to get over but I knew that it was common. In the next few years we had our other two boys. About a year and a half ago we found out we were pregnant with a daughter. We were in shock after three boys and just when we were starting to really believe it was true we lost her at 23 weeks. We were devistated! The grief was overwhelming. After much convincing from others around us we decided to try again to help us get over this terrible sadness. Four months after loosing our daughter we found out we were pregnant again. I went to see my Dr for the first ultrasound at 7 weeks and we saw the hearbeat. Looking back I was still walking in a cloud, but felt excited and the dr said seeing the heartbeat decreased the chance of m/c. A few days later I started to bleed and soon miscarried. I knew that it was my sign to take care of myself and family and really get over the many emotions we were stilling feeling from loosing our daughter. So, here I am now 6 weeks pregnant and really wanting this baby, but I know all that can happen. Anyone out there that has experienced loss and continued to have a healthy pregnancy? How did you allow yourself to relax??
