Hello, my name is Dianna. I was going by Lynn on here before, but to become a member I had to change my name. OK here is my story. I have been with my husband for 10 years, but married since July06. I have been off BC since the end of Sept.06 I thought I was going to become preg. right from the beginning because I was only off BC for two months when I got pregnant with my son. I guess when the time is right it will happen! Hopefully soon! I look forward to getting to know everyone on here and learning all I can.

Today I had my ultrasound. I was hoping it was going to be 3-D but it was not it was one of the old ones. As soon as she started it she said I was 11weeks and 5days then after measuring it said I was 11weeks and 6days. So, as of tomorrow I will be 12weeks. I finally have a due date of December 17, 2008. I saw the heart beat on the ultrasound and it was 160. As far as my migraines my new doctor wants me to see a neurologist. She aslo wants me to try zertac for 3days to see if it is due to sinus trouble. I have another appt. in a week to go over my physical. I guess so she can get to know me and not depend on the records from my other doctor. I will let everyone know about any other updates. I am very pleased to know I am 1week and 2days further then I was told the first time by a pelvic exam and happy to finally see my baby and get a due date!

I went to the doctor again on the 10th. I got to hear the heart beat and it was 150 this time. I am going back on July 29th to get another ultrasound, then they will try to find out what I am having. I have been feeling the baby thump around and just last night I felt her/he flip around! That was so amazing! I am leaving this Saturday for a week to the beach with alot of my family. My husband is also coming home after being gone for about 2months with work. When we get back from the beach my husband, me, and our son will be going back to TN so he can finish up his work. I probably will not be able to get on the computer, but if I find a way I will be excited to check on everyone. That is why my next appt. is so far away. My doctor agreed to make it for later so I will be able to go back with my husband for some time. I am really excited because it will work out so he can be here for the ultrasound and hopefully my son will be able to. I am going to call them now to find out if he can. When I get back I will be 20weeks so it is going to be wierd not to be able to check online for the development. I will update as soon as I can. Good luck to all and I will miss everyone!

I found out that I am going to be in Ar. till the middle of August so I finally found a doctor to see me up here. I go on the 14th and they are also going to do an ultrasound. I am so excited and hopfully they will be able to tell what I am having. I will update as soon as I find out something. I am nervous to see if they are going to be correct on the sex since they were wrong with my son, but I have a feeling this time it really is a girl. I am using the hotels computer so I can't be up here to much but I will check in from time to time.

I went to the doctor here in Ar. since I am not going to be back till the second week of August. They told me I am having a girl!! I am so excited. I just hope they are right. I was 17 weeks and 5days when they told me. The ultrasound said I was only 16weeks ,but they told me not to worry about that because the later in the pregnancy the ultrasound is done it is less accurate. He told me to stick with the due date I was given of Dec. 17, 2008 Oh yeah and my little bean weighs 5oz. I have gained about 8-10lbs. so far. I am sure the weight will start to pack on now, I have been so hungry lately. Everything else turned out good on the ultrasound. They did an AFP test so I go back in 2 weeks for the results. I will update later.

I am finally back home so I can get up here more often and for longer and I am so glad. Two days after my last visit I got a really bad migraine and was throwing up bad. At my last visit they had gave me tylenol 3 to take for my migraines. I tried that on this day and I did not get any relief. I called the doctor there in Ar. that I saw last and he told me to come in. He gave a script for darvocet and phenagen for the nausea. He also set up an appt. with a neurologist. Then from there I got a cat scan of my brain and a eeg that reads the brain waves like a ekg does your heart. They done the test to try to make sure if the migraines were hormone related or something else. I was suppose to go back for those results on the 30th of July. Well, to make a long story short I had to come home early b/c my brother had an accident and needed me. So, now I have to call the neuro. to see if he can fax the results here and find a doctor to read them. I hope that is easy to do, but a lot of doctors want to do their own test. I have an appt. with my OBGYN here at home Tues which I had made before I left. I was suppose to find out what I was having then and go for a check up. My insurrance only pays for two ultrasounds unless another is needed for a good reason. (so now I have already had the two I am able to get) I am hoping I can get the one that was palnned for this Tuesday and say the last one had to be done b/c of the migraines. My insurrance people say I need to tell my regular dr. about my appt out of state, but I am afraid if I do they will say there is no need to do another ultrasound. I hope everyone can understand all of this. Does anyone have any suggestions abot all of this? Thank yo ufor taking th etime to read this.

September 26, 2008
I wanted to write an update on what has been going on since I have not been up here that much lately. My sugar test was okay and besides that there has not been much to tell. That all changed this past Sunday the 21st. It was my son's 7th birhtday and we were having his party. Earlier that day while I was getting things ready for the party my stomach started hurting some, but was not that bad. Later once the party got started my stomach started to hurt a lot worse. I am sorry if this is to much info but I want to put this up here in case it may help others. The pain I was having felt like I needed to have a bowel movement and I was constipated. Every so often it would be a sharp pain, so I took some milk of magnesa hoping that would help. It did not help at all and after about an hour in a half everyone convinced me to go to the hospital. Once I got there I was so glad I went. I found out I was in pre-term labor and my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. I was shocked and scared to death! They checked me to see if there was any changes in my cervix and found out that I was 70% effaced and the station of my baby was -2 and on the good side I had not dilated at all.. The station refers to were the baby is located which means she is in my pelvic area so low that she is right before the birth canal. Once they determined this. Three nurses came in and each of them me these things, an IV, a shot of stadol and a shot of breathine. They said I was also very dehydrated so they gave me fluids. In the IV they also gave me magnessuim sulfate for 12 hours. This was all to stop the labor. The magnessium was terrible because it relaxes your muscles and you can barely move after being on it for a little bit of time. They took me off the mag. on Monday and I went into the recovery room instead of the labor and delivery room. Then they started given me breathine pills every four hours. After being in recovery for about 4 hours my contractions started back. Then I was given a shot of breathine and taken back to labor and delivery. After the shot of breathine my contractions stopped completely. The next day I went back to the recovery room and on Wednesday I went home. I am now taken the breathine every four hours (5mg) and on complete bedrest. It sucks but I know it will be worth it. I am not even allowed to pick up a gallon of milk and I am only allowed to get up to go to the bathroom and that is it.

Well yesterday on the 4th I went into pre-term labor again. When I got to the hospital my contractions were every 5-9 minutes. They gave me an IV with fluids, a breathine shot, and a stadol shot. They checked me and said my cervix had not changed any if anything she thought they were a little better. It seemed like I was maybe 60% effaced instead of 70%, so they were very pleased with that. After a couple of hours of rest the contractions stopped so I was sent home. Everyone was thinking that it was b/c I had done to much the last couple of days, but the nurse at the hospital told me that was not the reason it just happens sometimes. Now I am just so worried it is going to happen again. The weird thing is that yesterday was my niece's and newphew's birhtday party. So, it seems like everytime there is a party I go into labor. I am now worried about having my baby shower, worried I may go into labor. We have decided to go aheaad and have it on Oct. 18th. The only other time my mom could do it is the middle of Nov. and by then I will be off bedrest and the breathine so I was worried if I waited I could go into labor during my shower. Everytime I go into labor MY doctor is not on call. I have not been that satisfied with her the whole time so I have been thinking about maybe switching. I have heard she haas paniced a number of times while delievering a baby and another doctor has had to be called in. Also she does not explain things very well and I always have to wait at least an hour or two to be seen the days I have an appointment with her. I was told the doctor that has taken care of me both times I have went in for pre-term labor is very good, he takes plenty of time to explain everything so you understand. I am also wondering when do they normally decide to give the steriod shots for the baby's lungs. (when they are worried the baby will be born early) Does anyone know about this?? I am wondering since now I have had pre-term labor a total of 3 times and 2 of them when I was already taking the breathine. So, does anyone have any advice about switching doctors? I hate to switch when I do not have that much longer, but I alos want to be happy and feel safe.
