Couldn't agree with you more! I'm actually a "boy" kinda mom anyway. And, hey... we're already experienced in this department! I even wore some pink maternity tops thinking that would help. LOL! Thanks for the reply, it's nice to know that someone else felt the same way I did. I'm over it now and it sounds like you are too! Nobody else even really knew of my slight disappointment. Hang in there girl! How much weight have you gained so far?

This is our first baby and we were both hoping for a girl in the worst way!! I felt so horrible telling people I was slightly disappointed when we found out it was a boy!! I still find my self gravitating towards girl stuff!! I know once he is here it wont matter... but still its hard !!!! Glad to know I am not the only one out there!!!!

well I can't say that I'm in the exact same boat, but pretty close. My sister and I are both pregnant, I'm expecting my first and she is expecting her 3rd and last! She already has 2 boys and we were allllll hoping she'd be having a girl! I just found out yesterday that I'm having a girl and I was over joyed, it's what i REALLLLLY wanted and my husband and I couldn't control our excitement. Well, my sister had kept the sex a secret until I found out and when I told her I was having a baby girl, she got MAD at me, cried the whole night and told me she was having a boy, it's not like I could change the fact that I'm havin a girl and I NEVER would!! I felt sooo bad but ALL babies, boy, girl, black, white, asian, down sydrome or not...they are all blessings from God. So dont worry, lost of women want what they just can't have!! Just don't forget that this is your miracle! :]

and look at the bright side, you dont have to deal w/ a hormonal teenage girl in a few years! haha

Hey! I am in the same boat as you. I just found out yesterday that I am having a boy. Already having a boy, and being 37 in June means this is my last one too. I wanted a girl so bad. My brother has 2 boys also. Don't feel bad for your awkward feelings. I feel the same. I was so looking forward to buying all new girly stuff and getting rid of all the boy stuff that I had saved! On top of it all everyone is saying "Oh that's great, it will give Gabe someone to play with". Blah... Cheer up because there is nothing we can do about it. :)

Thanks for the response. I told him I was TOTALLY against it from the very start. He just said that some people don't do well with surprises in the delivery room, so this would help us be "prepared". Since my husband is a SUPER-planner, I figured it would be to his benefit...but I think even he regrets it now. First big lesson in parenting, I guess.
