Rhys Ethan Diaz was born on February 7th at 7:21 am weighing in at 6 pounds 9 ounces and 18.5 inches. My hubby and I arrived at the hospital at 5:00 am, filled out some paperwork, answered some questions and had my IV placed. Man, the IV hurt really bad, plus the nurse who administered the IV the first time said the vein blew, so she had to place it in again. It was really weird when they had me walk to the operating room, the anesthegeologist (sp??) gave me the spinal block (which didnt hurt) at 6:59 am and by 7:21 out came little Rhys. I had to say that not finding out the sex till the day was very exciting. The whole experience was amazing!!!!
My name is Susie and I have one son. He was supposed to be born on Tax Day (April 15) but instead was born on Valentines day (Feb 14). He weighed 2.13 oz and was 13.5 inches tall. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia which rapidly became eclampsia. My husband witnessed me having a grand mal seizure in which he called the nurses in and about 10 minutes later my son was born. After they peformed the crash c - section, I had another grand mal seizure in front of all the doctors. Nonetheless, everything turned out good, my son is now 3 1/2 years old and is very excited to be a big brother. Hope to make some friends on the site and congratulations to all you mommies out there

Well that is great that you didnt get it again!! So the calcium chew..was it just an extra 600mg per day?? Was there a certain brand that you bought...I am thinking about doing that because an extra calcium wont hurt anything? I am glad the second pregnancy went uneventful for you!!

I get to be induced Monday!!! I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM and I have to call before to make sure that not alot of people are laboring. I hope it goes well. I am now 2.5 cm dilated so I hope I can dilate alittle more over the weekend, but she said that is still a chance that he could come over the weekend so I guess we'll have to see! Oh and then the induction might not take so if that happens I have to come the folloeing day or 2. I hope it works the first time! So how did your appoint go?

I have my babys things packed for the hospital but not mine..
Im not sure what to bring.
Hopefully when I have a contraction I'll know what it is and not think its just a bad stomache ache.
At my last appointment my doctor didn't check me and I don't have another one until next Thursday the 7th.
I hope Im dilated.
Im ready for her.
Today is going by sooo slow but besides that Im doing good.

They have a list of things in a binder that they gave me like tylenol and sudafed, but nothing is really helping and either is this wheather we are having! It's going from over 40 degrees to below zero in a day! What time is your appoint Thrus? Mine's at 8:30 am so I have to up extra early!

Don't actually know if I will be induced or not. We're just talking about at my appoint on Thurs. And I don't know when it will happen, I'm sure it wouldn't be that same day. I have this miserable cold and trying everything I can to get better before he comes. My nose is plugged up. So how are you feeling?

I'm doing a vaginal delivery and im getting an epidural too which im extremely scared about.

They numb it before they put the other needle in.

I've having contractions on and off. I have this crumby cold that won't go away. That's really exciting actually knowing when your baby is coming! I have no clue w/ Tanner! Since I labor so quickly and if I don't have by the 31st the Dr will talk about inducing me which would be nice then I don't have to worry about making it on time and worrying how to get the girls to my granparents. Now I'm 2 cm and I guess I was 50% thinned. I guess time will tell! Isn't it something how certain Drs will check you and some don't.

How's everything going? I had my appoint on the 25th and I'm 40% thinned and 1 1/2 cm dilated! I was shocked! I never had anything going on until about 38 wks w/ the other 2! How are you feeling?

Hey yeah that is a cool job. My brothers ex girlfriend wanted to be a photographer ever since she was little and now she takes pictures at JC pennys, and is going to go to college to become a professional one.
I just feel like the 3 hour glucose test is a waste of my time because im already going to be 36 weeks pregnant on Friday
and if I did have it which I dont think i do I wouldnt really have much time to change my eating habits.
My doctor really pissed me off about it today too.
He wont leave me alone about it.
My pregnancy is going alright besides the hard breathing, sore muscles, can't sleep at night, bad back pain, and all the stress and anxiety I have about delivering the baby.
I can't take pain at all so I don't know how Im going to do this.

Its horrible, it can really make pregnancy miserable.
I'm doing pretty good just bad pains and my backs always hurting.
I'm also extremely scared about having my baby.
I don't know what to expect, people tell me a lot of information about it but I've never been in that position so I still feel like I don't know anything.
I just wish all the worryness and stress would go away.

I am feeling so so. Alexis is 11 mths old and already can climb up ALL the stairs. lol. So I really have to watch her now. I am busy with the nursery letters I paint. I am working on 3 orders at once. lol. It's fun and relaxing for me. I make money doing something I like. How are you feeling so far in your pregnancy? No signs of ecclampsia again?

Wow I can't believe the baby is brusing your pelvic bone! I had my appoint today and founf out that Tanner is engaged and ready! I was measuring at 34 wks and since he was low the whole pregnancy the Dr told me that if I would go into labor tonight he wouldn't stop it! I guess I'm a ticking time bomb now! I never expected for him to be ready so soon compared to others who have been dilated and thinned for weeks and nothing! So exciting to know the actually day your baby is coming. is this your 1st C-sec or have you had one before so you know what to expect? Now I'm getting sort of nervous since I have no idea when he will be coming and I tend to labor fast and w/ the girls neither of them dropped til the day of and her he is already knocking at the door, but it's closed! LOL I don't know if the pain or contractions will be any different, I guess time will tell. So I better get everything ready and finish packing!

Well hopefully you don't get ecclampsia again. Can you get it from eating wrong (sweets, junk, ect)? Those are cute names. One of you if right about the gender. lol. I thought my 2nd one was another girl because I ate sweets like crazy again in this pregnancy. I was wrong, it was definitely a boy. lol. No mistaking that 'extra' part. At least I have one of each and I can truly be done bearing children. We hope to wait about 4-5 years before thinking of #3. =)

I read that you had seizures during your labor with your son. Do you have epilepsy? I also had a seizure when I had my daughter, but I had one after delivery, while I was attempting to breastfeed her. I dropped her on the linolium floor (had no control over that as you know) and they put me back on meds. After that I couldn't breastfeed. I am hoping I don't have one this time around and that I can breastfeed. Wish you luck in delivery as well. Hope you and the baby are safe and healthy.

I don't blame you for considering this on ethe last. I feel that way too. lol. My hubby and I always say 3 is the max, but this 2nd one is tough with a toddler around. lol. It's neat that you are letting it be a surprise. What are your guesses and names for the baby if its a boy or girl? We are naming our son Avery. That's why you see Avery on my webpage for the nursery letters. When you find out and pick a name, give my site another look. =)
