Baby number two
After trying to conceive again (and thinking we had been unsuccessful), we decided to wait a year before we tried for a baby. Nature, however had other plans! Done two tests today and both were positive. Keep throwing up too (which is what made me take the test). Didn't realise I was pregnant, as my periods have been a bit eratic since I stopped breastfeeding 4 months ago. I would feel happy i it wasn't for feeling sooooo sick!!
06/11/09 - Still feeling really sick!!
17/11/09 - Still being sick all of the time. Feel rubbish and am really hoping that it passes soon! Hubby is outside eating at the moment as the smell of food makes me sick!! Erica runs and gets the sick bucket when I say I don't feel well!!!
Erica's pregnancy & birth

15 week 5 days scan - baby laid on their back with arms up behind their head!!

BIRTH STORY
I had to be induced as baby was 2 weeks late! I went into hospital on 9th Feb. After 2 pessaries they still hadn't managed to induce me, so was supposed to go up to the labour ward at midnight to be given a stronger pessary, but they were busy so didn't end up getting me for it. I started having contractions and they were getting painful so I had a bath to try and ease the pain. I went to try and go back to sleep but ended up pacing up and down as I couldn't sleep through the contractions. My waters broke on their own at 430am Sunday morning. I stayed down on the ward for as long as I could, but the contractions started getting even more painful so I went up onto the labour ward so I could have gas and air. I was contracting for 8 hours and was still only 4cm dilated, so they put me on a syntocinon drip, which made the contractions more painful. I still was dilating so they had to up the dosage of the drip 3 times until I did start to dilate. The contractions got really painful so I had to have pethidine at this stage. I was in labour for 16 1/2 hours. At 854pm on Sunday evening I gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl, Erica, weighing 7lb 2oz (3230g), 52 cm long. After I had been stitched up and we were both cleaned up, we went back down onto the ward for the night, and we were allowed home the following evening.
My precious little lady.
