This is my first pregnancy. I am only 9 weeks 4 days right now, and have very few symptoms (cramping during weeks 3-6, fatigue, minor food aversions, no morning sickness, no breast tenderness) so my husband and I are both fluctuating between disbelief and joy. At 7 weeks I had my first appointment with my midwife, which was a meet and greet/orientation with no clinical issues being addressed. So it's been funny because Deryk and I can't believe what a non issue this being pregnant thing is, when we compare it to previous notions and exposure to pregnancy in film/media, and a read of the bible of pregnancy, WTEWYE, which tend to emphasize the need for medical confirmation and intervention as soon as you find out you're pregnant. That being said, I have nothing but sincere compassion for couple's who are in need of very early medical monitoring. That, and I really hope that I definitely am pregnant and that this isn't some nasty prank my oavaries and uterus are playing on me!
