Hi Everyone! I'm an almost 38-year-old mom of two boys (ages 13 and 10) doing this for the third time. We're having a little GIRL this time, due April 20th! Yayyyy! My DH has finally got his wish, after begging for a little princess for the last 10 years... And you all know what they say...
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!! J
I'm really excited, too! My pregnancies have never been smooth, but this one has been a little more challenging than the other two, at least health-wise. I work in a crisis center, and we've been having major budget problems, so there was a time earlier in my pregnancy that I had to handle all of our clients in crisis myself. Needless to say, that caused a lot of undue stress on myself and the little one, and I was 27 weeks along when my doc said I needed to leave work and go on bed rest if I was going to try and get through this with a healthy baby! I'm now 34 weeks, starting on 35, and it seems to be working. I also have gestational diabetes, and have been put on meds after trying unsuccessfully to manage it with a strict diet. I go every week to see my doc, and that is my big "excursion" where I actually wear pants instead of sweats or pajamas! J My mom has been really supportive, even though she lives an hour away, and comes over once or twice every week to help with laundry and grocery shopping, etc. She's awesome! I am just getting used to being at home a lot, and remembering how much I enjoy being there for my two boys. My job doesn't offer short-term disability, so luckily I've been a workaholic and saved up lots of sick and vacation time, which will take me through all these weeks of pre-baby, as well as at least a couple of weeks after my c-section, which is scheduled for APRIL 14th, if things go well and I make it that far. It's a little stressful thinking about what's going to happen while I'm recovering from that, because my hubby's self-employed, and his job doesn't provide a steady income... I'm just trying to concentrate on the NOW and let that part come later.
We've picked out a first name FINALLY...
BODHI ~ it means "enlightened" and "knowledge"
(pronounced Bo-dee) ... I'm Buddhist, so I'm really excited that my hubby took to that one! We still don't have a middle name. Here are a few we've considered... Be sure to tell me what you think, as we're open to suggestions!
Bodhi Lynn ~ Bodhi Rae ~ Bodhi Grace ~ Bodhi Rose ~ Bodhi Skye
I've rambled on long enough -- Everyone stay well and take good care of yourselves!
~P~
