My name is Maja, and i am 19 weeks pregnant today (January 21, 2008).
I will have my first ultrasound January 23rd. I cant wait to see my baby!!!! This will be my first child, so i am scared, excited, and everything at once! :)

How did u feel when u found out? Very Excited and Shocked, and Happy at once.

Telling the grandparents!
How did your parents react? My mom was a little shocked, and happy at the same time. My dad couldn’t believe. He was like in shock for everJ.
How did his parents react? His mom was happy as well.
Are they helping with baby names? I will not let them help.
Have they bought anything for the baby yet? I will not let them shop yet, since we do not know the gender, and I personally don’t want to jinks anything.
How often do they call to check on you? Like every hour it seems like.

What was the heartbeat? First one was 160, Second was at 160 and third one was at 152.

What do u want? I would like a healthy baby girl or what ever it is as long as it is healthy!!
What does the daddy want? Daddy is the same like mommie.

What was your first symptom? Tiredness at all times, sore breast, hungry, and dramatic weight gain.

Both of my parents are from Kosovo.. are you serbian? just wondering, My whole pregnancy I didnt feel well, I had bad morning sickness, then I had horrible back pain since week 12, then at 34 weeks I was diagnoised with pregnancy cholestasis so I had to be induced at 37 weeks, cause its a rare condition that makes your liver enzymes and bile rise and it puts stress on the baby's liver and there is increase risk for still birth. Now we are doing good, MAja is just so gassy, and Im sooooooooooo sleep deprived, cant wait for her to sleep more..xoxoxo ask me ne ? Im an ultrasound tech

Have fun at the 4D ultrasound - that'll be so cool! We debated on doing something like that too. I just love seeing pics of my baby! I loved getting the regular u/s's. I wish I could have one every month!
I also tried to avoid taking meds in the beginning of the pregnancy... but sometimes you just have to break down & do what you gotta do. I ended up taking tylenol at one point due to headaches, and tums have become my new best friend! My dr says both are safe.

That's too bad that your Lamaze teacher is basically scaring you! I try to find and read positive birth stories on the net. Ina May's Guide to Childbirth also has tons of positive birth stories (the whole first half of the book). Also, there are lots of positive stories on the hypnobabies blog (I'm at work now, I'd have to send the link later). Don't let them scare you!

Hallo Majad.
When you breast feed, th ebaby sucks much harder than you could ever imagine. Sometimes the nipples crack. And that hurts very much. I just treat them with baby barier cream to toughen them up and to make them supple so that they don't crack. It really works. Allthough it still hurts just a little bit when you start off breat feeding it is much better. Good luck.

Hi there, I saw your comment about feeling huge & wanted you to know that you're not alone! I also used to run & do step aerobics almost every day prior to getting pg, and have had to scale back to prenatal yoga & walking, and it's killing me! I can't walk very far mainly because my bladder feels so full after about 3O minutes. Drives me nuts. I doubt I even make it a mile. I've also gained 2O lbs which seems to be an awful lot, although my dr isn't concerned yet. I have a hard time even bending over to tie my shoes. It's just such a different experience from when I was eating well & really active! So... just wanted you to know there are more of us out there! :=]

Hello I know EXACTALY how you feel.. I have gained 27 lbs. I was running 3-4 miles a day before prego and now I am happy to walk 1 mile!!! It is really hard for me to be this big and now have energy to change it!!!!! I can not wait to get my body back. I feel like a big bear also! Thanks for making me feel normal!

I'm so glad that I'm not alone. Sometimes I just wish that men could understand that we need them to be extra-amazing when we're pregnant instead of stubborn and grouchy. I hope you have a great weekend!!!

Hi Maja. thanks for your comment. My mom had gestational diabetes too, and my last sister was almost 11lb!!!.But like you just said if the baby doesn't come for the natural way there is always the C-section way. Anyways, hope everything goes just fine. Do have any names pick out for yuor baby boy yet? we are thinking in Matthew, but we don't have the middle name yet. Take care. Linda
