You are a great person for doing what you're doing.
I hope it works out for the best for that girl! Kids already have to deal with so much growing up!
The best of luck, and hopefully you feel good throughout the proceedings!

Hi there! I know what you mean about being nervous about having a hard delivery the second time around. It doesn't seem like there is a lot of info for people in our situation. I haven't found any, yet. I have been fortunate, no problems with this pregnancy. My one and only complaint would be how active this baby is compared to my first. She never rests and is getting stronger. We joke about her being a soccer (football) player, since my husband is Ecuadorian, and you just can't surpress a 1000 years of soccer (football) genes. The other thing I read was that for the second time when the baby drops it usually means you'll go into labor real soon. Not in my case, she has been 'dropped' for almost 2 weeks and when they take my internal exams, nothing is happening. So, that of course bummed me out.

THANKS FOR THE ADVISE ON MY 3 YEAR OLD!!!

mommylin - Friday, 25 Jan
I know what your going through. I also have had nauesa throughout my pregnency my favortiate friend was the toliet. Sometimes I wish I never got pregnant just because of all the problems. I also moved to this new town about a year ago and I know no body at all. My parents are a good drive away so I feel so alone. I have my husband but most of the time when I talk it seems hes not listening. I guess you just have to hold on to the thought the soon enough a little baby will be in your arms. You need to stay positive even with all the negative stuff. We only live once so might as well enjoy it. And just think theres people worse off than what we are going through. That tends to make things a little more bearable. Theres millions that go through chemo everyday I COULDn't image that. So relax and maybe find some hobbies to do in the mean time, or just take this time to relax your going to need it..Lin

thx! yeah i'm nervous about this little thing in my life that's going to be a huge deal. i'm not even sure if i'll have enough money to take off as manyh months that i want [which would be about 3 or 4]. maybe 2 if i'm lucky. but i'll just have to see how it goes. luckily i'm living with my mom, but i'm still having to pay her rent, car insurance, buy my own food, and blah blah. w/e. so, this should be definitely an experience, and i'm hoping more than anything that next time i have one, i'll be happily married for a few years to a strong person so i know something small like a newborn cant break us up [cuz i know that happens to quite a few relationships around the world]. i just cant wait to have her and get rid of this belly. lol

FirsttimemommaC - Monday, 21 Jan
Thanks for the reply. I ended up going to my Doc and she said it was fine to use the monistat 7 day because it is a low dose of medication, but not to use the 1 or 3 day because they are much stronger. I know it's hard to know who to trust. Some Docs say one thing and others say another...err..frustrating, but I do know that you shouldn't have to suffer through it and keep getting them. Apparently it isn't safe to have continual infections either, so you may want a second opinion. Hope you find some relief that you feel comfortable with. I actually only used two applications and mine is gone, but I know that means there is a good chance of it coming back as well. Catch 22 I guess. take care

CrazyEights - Monday, 7 Jan
Hi, the problem with that boy wasn't the epidural. It was the doctor who allowed her to push for too long without a c-section and the cord could have been around his neck too. I've had an epidural with all 7 of my kids. Yes, with some it was harder to tell when to push but the nurses watched the contraction moniter and told me when. Mostly, I could tell myself when I'd feel the pressure to push. For every bad story there is a good one, don't worry.

Hey love. I am in Nova Scotia too, i do know that they cant fire you for being preg, sick or emotional right now. Call access Nova Scotia and ask for the paper work to go through the labor board. i wish you all the luck in the world hun. oh PS where in NS are ya

JenLew - Tuesday, 11 Sep
Thanks for your advise! It's almost like sometimes I can't stand myself! :) I guess I have good days and bad days...I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job...Do you think it was because you're pregnant?

staceyweston - Tuesday, 11 Sep
majah - I live in ontario....so I don't know if it's the same as in nova scotia...but I don't think you can be fired for sickness/or pregnancy. Especially if you can prove that that's why your work was suffering....call the better business bureau or whatever association you have there. Did you have a union at your job?? They could help for sure. If your boss didn't know you are pregnant...maybe this is a good time to tell them and discuss a reduced job description. Also maybe you could get a note from your doctor for modified work duties outlining why you have needs for adjustments.....Hope this helps

*Dee* - Monday, 10 Sep
Hi...I live in Africa, I am almost sure you cannot be fired for something like that.Anyways here, you need a verbal, the first , and then second written warning, before you recieve a final, and then you can be fired. The only immediate dismissal is is you have done something criminally, ex stealing, sexual offences etc. Also, here if you are pregnant and not able to do a physical job like normal, say a waitress, they still cannot fire you..thye are suppose to move you to a more suitabloe job ex reception ort something where you can sit more etc....I would advise you to contact you labour law, or whatever it is called immediatly and make sure you know your rights. Good luck, hope you get some good newsn, and hope this helps..xx
