Hi all! I am returning to this site a little apprehensive but beleive this is where I need to be after our loss.

Here is a a little background:

I am 26 years old have been married for 5 1/2 years to my soul mate, David. David and I have been together for over 12 years now. We live in Idaho and am a student and a full time worker. My husband just graduated college and is now a programmer for a local opal and gem company. I found out I was pregnant on April 19th of this year (so yeah like last month) and was nervous but my husband was so excited that it reassurred me. .

May 2, 2008 We lost our first baby. I was 6 weeks and 5 days. The most horrible feeling in the whole world. .

I am looking forward to traveling through this adventure in life with other people and am glad there is a site for us to talk about our hopes, dreams, concerns, and anything else we may need to talk about. Good luck to us all to be a mommy soon!!

1 year goes so fast!! I pray we get our BFP this year....

The Dr just called with my test results. My beta is 4,413, and my progesterone is 10. He said both are normal. However my progesterone is on the low side of normal. The normal range is between 9-26 at 5 weeks pregnant, but some people have much higher. He told me that I could go ahead and start using 3 suppstories a day, to help boost it more, until the placenta takes over at 12 weeks or so. So fingers crossed!

Hi ladies I have a question about breast feeding when i feed my baby boy he feeds very well but it seems he always wants to suck on my boob i am wondering is he not getting a lot to eat I am worried that I am starving him and I feel so bad :(

I can't believe my little man is already 5 days old it seems like yesterday i just had him :( but I do not miss being pregnant I feel better not being pregnant LOL

Just got my test results back and they are negative, yay! That means the risks of anything happening the next 2-3 weeks are very minimal. I am contemplating whether or not to basically go on bed rest though, since my cervix is still shortening. My own doctor is not a fan of bed rest, but so many sites say it may prevent early labor when you have incompetent cervix. After all the baby is pushing less down on the cervix when you are off your feet. My mom arrived yesterday and is here for 7 weeks, so that is good. It means that either way I can take it easier. I am also waiting to hear back from my doctor about whether or not we can do progesterone injections which is known to help prevent preterm labor. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind and encouraging comments you sent me after my last post. I was so touched by the friendships I have here and so thankful for the prayers. Much love, Karin

Dear friends, please pray for me and baby. I had an extra ultrasound today that I personally requested because is has been 8 weeks since they checked my cervix. I am funneling - meaning my cervix is getting shorter. It is now about 2.7 whereas it was 3.5 8 weeks ago. Studies have shown that women with a cervix shorter than 2.5 has a 50% chance of going into early labor. My doctor took a swap to test for Fetal Fibronectin, a protein that is produced when the body is preparing for labor. I should have the test results by the end of the day. If they are positive there is a 15% chance I will go into labor the next 2 weeks. Please pray it will be negative!! Either way they will be keeping a close eye on me and I will have another ultrasound in two weeks. I am so glad I followed my heart and requested this extra scan, even if I don't have any labor symptoms. Of course I am anxiously waiting for these results - it will be a long afternoon. Girls, I went back to the Dr today, and he did a ultrasound. We seen our babies sac, and the baby starting to form. Right now it just a little white speck inside the sac. I am just happy to know the little one is attached in the right place, and things are progressing as they should. I am going to put the ultrasound pictures up in a minute. YAY!

I just called the Dr office and my beta numbers are 58 for 12/13 DPO. For what I have read that is pretty good. So fingers crossed this little one stays!
