Hi!

My name is Jacynta, I'm 24 and pregnant with my 3rd child. Our much anticipated boy! I have 2 girls who are 4 and 2 and constantly keep me on my toes ( as you can imagine).

This pregnancy, I must admit has been a lot harder to bear than my previous ones. I think my body is just getting old, lol. So this is definately my last baby. My partner is all booked in to have the snip done. He's not too worried. I'm just glad that there wont be any more 'accidents'. Good accidents mind you, just I have had enough to last me a lifetime.

I have GD, and will probably be on insulin very soon. Bub isnt terribly big apparently he's weighing about 2.3 kg at the moment, so he on track to being about 3.5 kg at birth. Average for me, my eldest daughter was barely under 4 kg. I'm really excited about the birth and not worried at all about anything. I had a very bad bleed after giving birth the first time, I lost nearly a litre of blood, requiring 3 bags transfused into me. They were prepared the second go around and I already had the IV and medicine to stop the bleed. I'm going to a different hospital this time so I've sorted it all out to have the IV before I give birth so no bleed this time hopefully.

My girls are excited about the baby, though my 2 year old keeps hitting my stomach yelling baby, so I guess she doesnt understand too much, or maybe she understands too well, lol. Whenever I go to the hospital for a check-up my 4 year old asks me if I will be bringing the baby home when I get back, I keep telling her that she will definately know when the baby will be coming, lol.

This is our baby boy taken earlier this week, at 27 weeks. Pretty happy with how the piccie turned out, just wish I could see more of his face :)

Probably will have some more U/S , I've got Gestational Diabetes. But I have been controlling it well so he's the right size. If he keeps growing at this rate he will only be 8 lb 5 or so. So probably will be my smallest.

Bub's head is engaged and in the right possie to come out. The doctor I saw on monday said that they will probably induce me at 38 weeks. I dont know about that, he said that it was because of my GD. But my levels havent been too bad. The sonogropher I saw on friday said that his size was dead on for my dates. So he wont be an overly large baby. Probably about 8 lb 5. So I didnt think that they would induce me if he was that size. I went 2 weeks overdue with my first and I had GD then too, and she was born 9 lb 5.

I dont really know. I'll probably be seeing a different doctor next week, I'll have to make sure I clear things up with her.

Well I'm off to the Diabetes specialist next in 3 days, I expect to be put on insulin. Already been told as much. Doctor i saw today said that if I'm on insulin, I will be induced at 38/39 weeks. I felt a lot more comfortable with the doctor I saw yesterday, so thats one bonus. she told me bub is about 2.3 kg. alright for 34 weeks.
