HE IS FINALLY HERE!

ARRIVING JULY 8, 2007 AT 12:08 AM!

TY JOSEPH JACOBS

9 pounds 10 ounces

22 inches long!!

CHECK OUT MY PICTURES!

Well here is the birth story...
I went in on Monday July 2 to be induced but they sent me home because i was not a candidate to be induced because i was only dilated to a 2, i was 70% effaced, and he was too high. Well i bitched at the hospital because i told them to check the ultrasound readings because he is measuring big. Well they refused. So, after several days being miserable I went out and bought Castor oil. I drank half the bottle (recommended) and that night i started having contractions. So i gathered up my things in the middle of the night on July 6 at 1am. We drove an hour and a half from my moms house to Detroit. they admitted me and said that I was dilated to a four 100% effaced but said he was still high. They put me on the monitors but the heart rate monitor which was on my belly kept falling off. I could not stay still long enough to get a good reading. The only comfortable position was standing and rocking. Well I begged for the epidural and they gave it to me finally. The worse part about it is that the damn anesthesiologist was a SUPER MEGA BITCH and misplaced it 7 times! She was getting pissed off and had to call her superior doctor in to place it. FINALLY the pain was gone! I slept for two hours then the doctor came in and said lets start pitocin. I said yes lets get the show on the road. Well some how the epidural wore off my right side. I could feel everything in my right side. I mean everything and I had severe back labor. I begged for the anesthesiologist to come back in and replace it. Mega bitch came back in and asked me what the problem was...I was dying with so much pain... had a wash cloth covering my eyes as I was curled up in the fetal position. She stood over me and said in a cocky way...Sure you can feel it...sometimes we have to go through a little pain in life...i am not going to replace it but I will give you another dose. Well that made my left leg dead but nothing touched the pain in my right side. She looked at my mom and sister and said she is a little dramatic isn't she? My mom and sister came unglued but did not want to see her stick me like a pin cushion again. So i had to grin and bare it. Well the pitocin was kicking in extremely hard and fast. My heart rate started doing weird stuff and the baby was acting the same way. All the sudden my heart rate dropped along with the baby so they had to get the crash cart and emergency team in my room. They started rolling me from side to side and giving me oxygen. They were shaking me and trying to keep me awake...I was throwing up and shaking. They stopped the pitocin and his heart rate went back up and I also stabilized. They examined me and said you are still only 7 centimeters and he does not want to drop down and engage. They broke my water and said that the baby had crapped in there (which stunk bad!) Well I felt OK for about a half hour...then the doctor came in and said we are going to ease the pitocin back in...i started crying. It happened all over again...dropped heart rates, throwing up, and oxygen. They rushed in and took me immediately to the operating room for the c-section. I was relieved! They had to re-do the epidural FINALLY! The medication was GREAT! The C-section was so great and quick! The only bad thing was that I couldn't see my little man for 45 minutes because the pediatricians took him away because of him crapping in his little sack. Over all it was all worth it...but it still pisses me off when I think about the whole experience.
