Hailey's 2 month check-up went great. She weighs 11lbs 10oz and is 23 1/4 in long. She is growing and doing perfect!

6/8/08

I got Hailey's ears pierced today. It wasn't bad at all.

Still no af......what the heck? I am not pregnant so I don't understand what is going on with my body. On the plus side I have lost all my baby weight. Yes!!!

I have three babies living and I have one baby that passed away. I have three boys and one little girl. I have been happily married for almost seven years. I am lucky enough to be able to stay at home with my babies. This is an awesome website for moms to connect with each other.

Jamison gave us 8 1/2 hours one time but never again. There was a week were he kept giving us at least 6 but usually 7 hours a night and then he all of a sudden reverted back to a 5 hour stretch. We can usually count on two wakings in a 12 hours period or 1 waking in an 8 hour period. I can deal with that. Maybe I will let Jamison fuss a bit before I go to him too and see what happens. I just feel like you were I don't want him to get too upset and wake himself up even more. I also don't want him to wake my husband up too much. Usually I hear him fussing, I get up pat his belly a few times and then go to the bathroom. By the time I am done he is usually fully awake and asking for some assistance.

Jamison is a bad napper too. Sometimes I can't even get him to take one without leaving the house and having him sleep in his car seat. He sleeps ok at night though, except for the last couple days for some reason. I am loving Jamison's little baby talk it is so cute he stairs right at me and talks!

mom2boy - Wednesday, 25 June
Jamison has made a couple little sounds while smiling but I have yet to get a real giggle. He talks A LOT though. It is so funny he will be breastfeeding and then stop to talk to me.

did they get bitten by a poisonous spider? That's really scarey! My kids have gotten some pretty swollen mesquito bites that resemble chicken pox and benadryl helps them. Apparently they are just allergic to the bites. We don't really have anything poisonous around here. There are brown recluse spiders but bites are pretty rare unless your moving firewood or something. I havn't known any kids that have gotten them.

He has made it all day today with no pain medicine. He's feeling a million times better and slept all night last night untill 8 in the morning!!! I think that he got allergies on top of healing which made it harder. He's eating without crying now too.

I am considering being a STAHM mom but I am least going back to work to give it a shot and see how it feels. If I get use to it and Jamison seems to be happy we will roll with it but if it is too hard for me or Jamison we will reconsider the possibility of me staying home.

Sam sleeps really well compared to my last two. He goes to bed around 8 or 9, sleeps untill 2 or 3 and eats but doesnt' really wake up all the way then sleeps untill 6 or 7 then east again and sleeps till 9! really it's not bad at all. I'm not a great sleeper myself so I'm actually awake more than he is at night. Our 3 year old had his tonsils and adenoids out last week so I'm hoping he starts sleeping better once he's all healed. He's been the one to keep me up. Once all of my kids are sleeping well I'll be in good shape :-)

I can hardly function and take care of just one little one so good job to you. I keep thinking the same thing about just enjoying him and not worry about the sleep thing but the entire time I have been worried about going back to work and getting enough rest and here it is a week away and I am unsure how I am going to handle it. Whatever happens if he sleeps good or bad, if I am tired at work or well rested it is all worth it, that I know for sure.

mom2boy - Saturday, 21 June
It may have been a fluke but those flukes start happening more and more and before you know it your baby is sleeping great. Ha ha ha at least that is what I tell myself.

mom2boy - Friday, 20 June
We use to have it set up so that my husband was the diaper changer and I was the feeder, which makes sense since I have the boobs. Then we quit changing his diaper at night which has helped make our nights a lot smoother. So no we just change sides of the bed, on the weekends my husband takes the side that Jamison is on and I take it during the week days. My husband will take a couple week days if I ask or if he can tell I am frustrated he offers but Jamison pretty much just eats and goes right back to sleep now so there really isn't much my husband can do anymore. It use to work good when Jamison would wake up more often or if he wouldn't go back to sleep after eating. So anyway when my husband does take Jamison's side he just gets him and hands him to me and I nurse him to sleep and then I get up and put him back in his bassinet. It is almost easier that I stay on Jamison's side so that I don't have to walk around the bed to get to his bassinet. I guess I could poke at my husband to have him put him back but by then he is already asleep and it doesn't seem fair to wake him up just to put Jamison back when I am already up. So I guess what I am saying in a rambling way is that my husband is willing but because Jamison is breastfed and goes right back to sleep after eating there really isn't much my husband can do.

mom2boy - Thursday, 19 June
Yeah I was kind of uptight about how much Jamison was eating too, especially because when he started sleeping better he was eating less times a day. Then I go to the Drs to find out he is a super chunk so no worries there. He was sleeping in a similar pattern as Hailey starting at around 5 weeks if I remember correctly. Then for the last week he has given us 6 to 8 hours a night eats and goes back to sleep for a few more. 7 hours seems to be what he is mostly doing although last night he slept 6 ate slept two more ate and then two more and I was thinking it was a not so good night. In retrospect that is pretty funny because I remember one time when he was a newborn and he slept 6 hours (a total fluke he didn't do it again for a while) and I was so happy and feeling so rested, no if he gets up more than once I am thinking what a bad night, I guess I am getting greedy with my sleep LOL.

mom2boy - Tuesday, 10 June
Yeah, your baby sounds like she is growing great. It seems like she will be tall! I just got back from Jamison's check up and he weighs 14 lbs 4 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. He is a chunk, he is in the 94th percentile for weight so I think I can relax a bit about his food intake.

mom2boy - Sunday, 8 June
I just worry that if I don't fill him up before bed he will wake up shortly. Jamison has his two month check up on Monday and they will weigh and measure him. However at 3 weeks he was 22 inches (which is what he was born at) and just over 10 lbs. I weighed him myself I couple weeks ago and he was 13 lbs. I don't know how long he is though but I do know he is a lot longer than he was a month ago.

mom2boy - Friday, 6 June
Ha, I wish I would have read your comment before today about just going to bed. I ended up waking him up to eat and that little stinker would not go back to sleep. He is so funny he was out cold and I really had to try to wake him up, I thought I little breastfeeding and he would be done for it but no he wanted to get back up and hang out. LOL

Thank you for your support and feedback. The fact is I have already made up my mind to leave him I just know know how or when. He has hit me in front of the kids before, he plays pyscological games with them trying to tell them how bad I am or trys to spoil them so they will like him more or something. I have told him that if he doesn't stop I will leave and he just denies his behavior or blames me and says I need to change. I have tried to just leave him alone not argue or instigate him in anyway and he still is very abusive calling me all kinds of names the whole time I was pregnant, I don't know how I made it through the pregnancy but I just stayed positive for the baby and my kids I am to the point now where when he says something I want to fight back and I know for a fact he will hit me he has before so man y times. I just need to leave and I know it. Thank you for your advice. I have to go baby is crying but I will keep in touch!

Got my first period 5 weeks post baby.

munkobaby - Wednesday, 14 May
Hey sweetie, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The answer to your question is NO... I have not lost all the baby weight yet, and I am trying not to worry about it too much. I still have 11 lbs to go, and I don't expect it to be easy, especially given my age having my 4th baby. How's your weight loss coming, any more of those 4 lbs gone? DOn't stress to much about it, it will work its way off - it takes 9 mos to put it on, so you can expect a little bit of time to take it off. I bet you look fabulous girl! I will definitely let you know if we decide to have any more... my husband says he wants another, but we don't know how practical it is given our time and age. We shall see. xoxoxj

Hi, I tried your advice about trying to keep him awake more, and the past few nights Sam has been asleep around 9 and sleeping unill one or so, then again untill 5ish then just eats and goes right back to sleep untill 6:30 or 7 in the morning. I would not be the least bit sad if we stay on this schedule :-)
