I have three babies living and I have one baby that passed away. I have three boys and one little girl. I have been happily married for almost seven years. I am lucky enough to be able to stay at home with my babies. This is an awesome website for moms to connect with each other.

Sunday, 23 Mar Hi, saw your post about bringing on labour. Well, this is uncomfortable BUT the BABY DANCE is more than for the creation of baby. You see there is a natural chemical in the seman that oftern gets things going. ( Not to mention all the movementLOL). But beware, it CAN be a quick result! ( don't be distressed if it dosn't happen quickly but I discovered with mine that things can REALLY HEAT UP FAST!) Midwives can tell too. When I went in with one of mine and they examined me, they said 'Oh you naughty girl ( with a smile) you know how to get in here don't you?!' Anyway, hope that helps :-)Vikki amani -
Thursday, 20 Mar Thanks...for replying. I have extra fluid..and my doctors are given me ibuprofen to remove some of the fluid. Which is making me a bit worried and scared. I am monitored..so far I'm having ultrasounds to keep an eye on it. But thank u. amani -

Friday, 29 Feb I used to worry about that until I had contractions 3 weeks ago and now I am on the other end, hoping Melody waits till we're both ready. it was a real scare for me so right now I wouldnt care if she stayed in there 6 more months, lol. so long as shes healthy. jen82 -

Tuesday, 12 Feb Hey honey. Thanks for letting me know about your high level of amnio fluid. Jack has been checked out thoroughly as well adn he is all good and in one GIANT piece. Cant as for more than that. I am hoping to hear a better plan of action from my dr. tomorrow at my 31 wk check up. Can't believe how miserable I have become. This has been the most trying pregnancy of them all. How are you doing? Are you keeping well rested and all? Glad to hear little princess is big and happy too. I love chubby babies. jbbates -

Monday, 28 Jan We had a hard time deciding on a name because I have been a teacher on and off for the last 13 years. Lots of names remind me of previous students. We liked Ethan at first but found out that was number 5 on the top ten list. We went with Owen, which we love. I love names that start with vowels. I like your lttle girl's name. Take care!! jorgie1 -
Monday, 28 Jan Hi there,
just read your comment about sore areas on your belly. I have had a similar sort of thing on the top area of the bump, sort of felt like internal bruising, got really sore. I work at a computer alot so have started sitting on a Swiss ball (pilates ball) cos i thought it might have been my posture. It has helped abit, but in the last week its been better, maybe baby is further down?. Hope you get some relief soon. 2andfnu -
Sunday, 27 Jan I actually had to special order my copy of the book this weekend. My Barnes and Noble didn't carry it. I do know that they give all kinds of statistics and even in the last ten years, it has become more and more of a safe way to have a baby. My mistake was that I skipped over the page or two that talked about it in the What to Expect book, cringing at the thought of even an IV, let alone surgery. The more you know, the less worried you will be. Maybe, you won't even need to know that information, but best to be prepared. Did you decide on a girl's name yet? 2andfnu -
Friday, 25 Jan I will be scheduled to have my 3rd c section and I know that it sounds horrible if you have never had one. If there is a chance that you could, I would recommend reading the book The Essential C Section Guide. It is fabulous and is written by ladies who had to have them, and then had them scheduled subsequently. It tells you so mcuh info I wish I had read it before I ever had one. It also gives guidelines of stretches to do and timelines of when you can do what excercise, etc. I am planning on buying the book to have to refer back to. I read the library's copy in my first trimester. Good luck with everything!!! munkobaby -
Wednesday, 23 Jan Things are going okay. I am getting thru most days with a smile on my face despite it all. 68 days left - and yes, I am counting them down day by day. Love the new u/s pic of her - what a sweetie! xoxoj munkobaby -
Wednesday, 9 Jan You are right about one thing...having the final end date really has made a difference in my attitude at least. I have also had amnios with two of my past pregnancies... I don't like them much either, one hurt and the other didn't. I am willing to do what it takes to make sure his little lungs are healthy before they take him out. I wish everyone could have their April baby with me in March. Especially you. Sorry tohear that yoru sleeping has been interrupted. Mine has for weeks now, the hernia doesn't help taht either... I actually dread goign to bed now. Guess I am starting to get used to the sleepless nights that are ahead when Jack is born. Happy Hump day! xoxoj munkobaby -
Saturday, 5 Jan Thanks for your encouragement. I am living with it, I even slept in our recliner last night. Seemed more comfortable to me. I did get a call from my dr. with our csection date which is March 30! I started crying - now I can count the days down, knowing that is the final day to wait for. I am not looking forward to the amnio prior and the csection itself, but that's okay too. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you! xoxoj DanielleF -
Wednesday, 2 Jan The hair bow that is on her head was the one that they put on her in the nursery at the hospital. I am sure you will get one also b/c I am almost positive all hospitals due them. momoffive -
Wednesday, 2 Jan I havn't had any more since a day or so ago. Contractions had slowed down to very normal, just one or two an hour night before last and yesterday morning so I decided to go and get the 2 weeks of shopping taken care of yesterday, by the time I got home they we comeing every 4 or 5 min, slowed a bit then I woke up this morning with them that close again....I called the dr and he said I could come in or lay down and drink some water and see what happened since I did have a neg FFN test he wasn't super worried...I decided to hold off they went from 4 to 7 to 10 back to 4 and so on and are not getting closer or stronger and there is no more concerning discharge so I think I just overdid it yesterday...I have spent most of the day on my rear today, feeling really lazy...Hopefully they will go away by tomorrow...Did they stop your preterm labor last time, how long did the contractions go before you realized that was what it was? Were they painful? that's the biggest reason I havn't gone in, they aren't painful, just uncomfortable and annoying. I had preterm labor with my 2nd child in the begining of the 3rd trimester and I was sure that's what it was when it happened, the contractions started 20 min apart then went to 10 then 5 and were 3 by the time I got to the hospital...they didn't hurt untill they got to that 3 min apart point though....Sorry for such a long post. I've been on pins and needles for a week now...just when I think no more contractions, they pick up again....I do trust my dr. and he doesn't seem worried at this point so I'm not terrible worried, but for sure on edge listing to everything my body is doing. munkobaby -
Tuesday, 1 Jan I've been out of commission for the past couple weeks, but I am thinking about you and love ya lots! Best to us all in the new year!

Sunday, 30 Dec Wow thats so crazy. I pry everyday lord let the u/s tech be wrong. I have 2 boys and I realy really really wanted a lil girl but I was unfortunate to hear another boy. This preggo is so different that I was sure a girl this time. But oh well I have becae cotent wth a boy I found out at 19 weeks so I'm sure it's a boy and b/c my last boy has ran me crazy for 3 years I'm sure that this is my last one so no girl for me. mom-o-7 -
Thursday, 27 Dec Wow, thats a little scary that they thought you were having a boy and its actually a girl...I have 3 girls so far and they're telling me this one is a boy...it took the tech. a while to see the sex and she couldn't get a good pic of the penis, so I've been paranoid that its not a boy all along..I'm having another u/s on Jan. 9th, so hopefully they will confirm its a boy then. juniperberry -
