I found out that I was indeed pregnant on Saturday, February 23. I'm 43, never married and no children. I've waited for the day when I could truly say, "There is a baby in my belly!" Although my boyfriend and I were talking about engagement, we are now talking about doctors and payment plans and all that! What a turn of events!

I am deeply in love with him, and he is so caring and kind. I couldn't ask for a better father.

Sometimes I get all hung up on the future, but when I can find my quiet still place, I know that this is right, and I feel the bond already with my little 1/4 inch meep! Today I read that the heart is the size of a poppy seed - I don't know why that makes me cry and fall more in love with this baby, but it does.

My little poppy seed...

Spring is here, and I am happier than I ever thought I could be. I have a wonderful man, and a little baby still with us! Waiting for our first ultrasound ( on March 29 ) seems like an eternity. I just want to hear/see that little heart beating and verify that I am on track as far as my due date. We are starting to let more people know that we are pregnant, and I am starting to have some real signs of pregnancy - such as nausea & dizziness 24/7. I feel lucky to have all of the 'symptoms' of pregnancy. No, not lucky - blessed. I can't wait to meet this little one that has put our life upside down!

Madame Zaritska's Prediction:

The day you deliver, outside will be overcast. Your baby will arrive in the morning. After a labor lasting approximately 20 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and some very fine hair.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

ha LA would be better for me- I used to be an intern at a high end denim boutique, I worked a little with buying and selling, did event planning/ managment, we networked with a lot of other local boutiques and model agencies, did fashion shows for a lot of the popular clubs- stressful but the best job in the world, I dont know what I was thinking joining the army lol- but in 6 months Im getting out and I need something- my MOS is "signal support systems specialist" so I work on computers, telephones, sensitive equipment- hate it but I know how to do it

It's no problem at all I figure we're all here to share and learn, and any experiences that I have had that might benefit someone, I want to share. I miss naps! when I was pregnant with my son, I took them all the time, but now, with my daughter, I am lucky to get enough sleep at night alone. My toddler is a ball of energy that never sleeps lol.

ahhhhh the joys of firecracker popcicles lol...i tell you that they have gotten me threw the heat and any kind of stress, and there better than any donut or other junk food and more importantly you can find them on sale, i am glad you enjoy them i know i do~

Did you tell your doctor about the leg pain. Mine said if the pain from my butt goes to my legs also to call her asap because it could be a nerve. You are one brave momma to do acupuncture. I've never had that done before. I would be as scared as someone getting their legs waxed for the first time. I'll try swimming. (I've only been once since I've been pregnant and I live in front of the pool) Hey, I have a pool party to go to this weekend. I'm like your friend. I HATE BEING PREGNANT! I ONLY LIKE IT WHEN I CAN FEEL MY BABY KICK. (this may sound crazy) I've never been in the hospital so I'm looking forward to all of the attention I'll get. (you're the first person I told that to) Hope you feel better.

I think that the book forgot to mention that some women stay sick through out their whole pregnancy. When I read that (Mayo Clinic book) I prayed to GOD that I would start to feel better. The only sickness I have is an ach. My baby sits on my butt. Trust me that hurts. My doc told me as he gets bigger the pain may increase. Just buy a butt cushion.

Here is a suggestion for your leg cramps. Eat lots of bannanas or check with your dr to see it is ok if you take extra magnizam pills. I have always have had leg cramps and spazams and that is what was suggested to me. Keep me posted on how your doing

This is going to sound wierd BUT it might help with your leg cramps. When I used to get them really bad with my son it would bring tears to my eyes. Soo, I would pull on my toes or (have my boyfriend do it) and it would straighten the tensed muscle out and I would feel alot better. So start pullin on them toes!!!

Hey, have you tried eating bananas??? I think I heard that works. You might be needing more potassium...

Do you know the sex yet? Or do you want to know??

my2ndbaby - Friday, 27 June
Banana's work for me with the leg cramps also. Even though I am not a big fan I force myself to eat them.

simplylisa - Friday, 27 June
i had that same problem with my legs too and my husbands aunt (she used to be a nurse but now is retired) told me i need more potasisem.so i started eating a banana everyday and now i very rarley have them..hope this helps you out.

I hope that they change their attitudes, and at least your midwife is good to you. My OB is great. She actually got angry about how much I am being billed, not by her, but the hospital she works out of. I am happy to offer kind words. You really need them when pregnant and all through life.
